1. They reach the patient at the moment of intent
Someone typing “dental implants Jayanagar” has decided what they need and is choosing where. No other channel reaches a patient at that moment. The ad puts the clinic in front of them for exactly that search, in exactly that area — and for nothing else, if the keywords and the negative list are done properly.
2. They work this week, not next year
Search work takes months to rank a treatment page. A campaign switched on today brings calls this week. For a new clinic without reviews yet, or an established one that wants more of one treatment before the busy season, that speed is the point. It is also why the campaign should be switched off once the map and the reviews bring the treatment on their own.
3. The budget is in the clinic’s hands
A daily limit, a treatment, an area. Spend more before the wedding season for whitening, spend nothing in the month the clinic is full. Nothing else in marketing is this adjustable, and the control is only useful if the clinic does the sum monthly — cost per click, clicks per call, calls per booked patient — and acts on it.
4. Everything can be measured, if it is set up to be
With a tracking number on the campaign and the front desk noting which calls booked, the clinic knows what a booked implant patient cost, to the rupee. Without those two things it knows clicks and impressions, which decide nothing. Most clinics run ads for a year without the number and then argue about whether it worked.
5. The extensions that make the ad a front desk
A call button in the ad, the clinic’s address and a directions link, the hours, the treatments as sitelinks. A patient with a toothache can call from the ad without opening a page. Use all of them; they are free and they are what a mobile searcher actually taps.
The caveat, once more: none of the five helps a clinic with two reviews and a phone that rings out at 6pm. Ads send patients; the clinic has to be worth choosing when they arrive. Do the reviews and the reply time first, then run one campaign for the treatment you most want, and check the sum at the end of the month.
