Temples · Pay per click advertising

Reach devotees planning a visit before the festival, not after it starts.

Temple advertising is a short, targeted spend in the weeks before one festival or seva, aimed at the devotees already planning their visit and their donation. GullySales scopes the spend against the trust's own calendar and sends the advertisement straight to that seva's booking page.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What pay per click advertising means

Pay per click advertising (PPC) is paying a fee each time someone clicks your advert on Google or another platform. It puts you at the top of a search page immediately, instead of waiting for ranking to build. GullySales sets the targeting, writes the ad text and checks spend daily against enquiries received.

For temples

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The spend is timed to the festival”

Search demand spikes weeks before the main utsavam and drops after, so the spend matches that window.

  • “Geography follows the devotee base”

A temple with a following in one city, often where migrant devotee families settled, targets that city.

  • “The advertisement leads to a booking page”

An advertisement for one seva during a festival sends the devotee straight to that seva's booking page.

What we do

What we deliver for temples.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A spend timed to one festival's search window

A short advertising spend scoped to the weeks before a specific utsavam, when search demand for it actually rises.

Result: The spend runs only while devotees are actually searching for it.

  2. Advertising geography matched to the devotee base

Targeting set to a city where the temple has a known following, often where migrant devotee families settled, instead of a broad spread.

Result: The spend reaches devotees already inclined to travel for the temple.

  3. Advertisements linked to the relevant booking page

An advertisement for one seva during a festival set to lead directly to that seva's booking page, not the homepage.

Result: A devotee who clicks can book immediately, without searching further.

  4. Spend scoped in writing before it begins

A written scope for the advertising spend, agreed with the trust in the free audit before any budget is committed.

Result: The trust knows exactly what is being spent and why, in advance.

  5. A time-boxed spend, not a standing campaign

A campaign set to run only around the festival window it was built for, then switched off rather than left running.

Result: Advertising stays limited to what the trust actually approved.

How the result is measured

  • Cost per click
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries from paid search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these temples.

  • Ancient and heritage temples with high pilgrim footfall
  • Neighbourhood and community temples
  • Temple trusts managing more than one shrine
  • Shrines with a strong NRI devotee base overseas
  • A temple known for one festival or utsavam
  • Temples running annadanam and community welfare programmes

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. 01 · First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. 06 · At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for temples

  1. 1

    Audit the devotee journey

We check what a devotee sees when they search for the temple and the town, how sevas are booked today, and how offerings from outside the town are received.

  2. 2

Build the site and the calendar

Timings, the deity's history, the festival calendar for the year and a page for each major seva, kept current rather than left from the last update.

  3. 3

Set up online booking and donation

A seva booking and donation flow that works on a phone, with an automatic receipt, so a family living away can offer from anywhere.

  4. 4

    Reach devotees before the festival

WhatsApp and social reminders sent ahead of the brahmotsavam or a monthly special pooja, timed to when devotees actually plan their visit.

  5. 5

    Record every offering

A simple record of who booked what seva and when, so a returning donor is recognised and thanked rather than treated as a stranger each visit.

    • A palette that carries the values
    • Reviewed with the trust

    • Content that shows the work
    • Social channels managed

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Would a campaign run all year?
No. We recommend short windows around the major festivals, when devotees are already searching for timings and seva bookings, and nothing between them.
How much should a temple spend on this?
We scope this in the free audit against your calendar, in writing first.
Can a temple trust really run online bookings?
Yes, if one person at the temple office checks the bookings each morning. The priests get a printed list of the day's sevas and gotras, so nothing changes at the sanctum. We set up the page and train whoever runs the office.
Is it appropriate to market a temple?
Yes, if it only presents what already exists. We publish the timings, sevas and festival dates in a form devotees can find and book. The rituals, the priests and the trust's decisions stay exactly as they are.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
