Cookie Policy

What we store in your browser when you visit this site, and how to control it.

What cookies are

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. They let a site remember things between pages and visits, and they let analytics tools recognise a returning visitor. Similar technologies — local storage and tracking pixels — do comparable jobs, and this policy covers them too.

What we use them for

Essential: keeping the site working, remembering form state, and protecting our forms from abuse. These cannot be switched off without breaking the site.

Analytics: understanding which pages people read and where visitors arrive from, so we can improve the site. This is aggregate reporting, not the profiling of individuals.

Advertising: where we run campaigns, platform pixels record that a visit followed an advertisement, so we can measure whether that advertisement worked.

Third parties

Analytics on this site is Google Analytics 4. It sets its cookies from googletagmanager.com and google-analytics.com, and Google processes what they collect under its own privacy terms. Google publishes a browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout that stops it collecting anything from you, on this site and every other site that uses it.

Advertising cookies, where we run a campaign, are set by the platform carrying the advertisement, and that platform’s terms apply to what it collects. We do not sell the data any of these tools produce.

Controlling cookies

Every major browser lets you see the cookies a site has set, delete them, and block future ones — usually under Settings, then Privacy. Blocking analytics and advertising cookies does not affect your use of this site.

Browsers also offer a “do not track” signal and private browsing, both of which limit what is stored.

Changes

We update this policy when the tools we use change. This version is effective from 12 September 2026.
