What cookies are

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. They let a site remember things between pages and visits, and they let analytics tools recognise a returning visitor.

Local storage and tracking pixels do a similar job, and this policy covers them on the same terms.

What we use them for

• Essential: keeping the site working, remembering form state, and protecting our forms from abuse. These cannot be switched off without breaking the site.
• Analytics: understanding which pages people read and where visitors arrive from, so we can improve the site. This is aggregate reporting, not the profiling of individuals.
• Advertising: recording that a visit followed an advertisement, so we can measure whether a campaign worked.

Third parties

Our analytics uses Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies from googletagmanager.com and google-analytics.com. Google processes that data under its own terms. If you would rather it did not, a browser add-on is available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Advertising cookies are set by the advertising platforms under their own terms. We do not sell data from any of these tools.

Controlling cookies

You can see, delete and block cookies through your browser settings. Your browser may also offer a "do not track" signal and a private browsing mode, both of which limit what is stored.

Changes

We update this policy when the tools we use change. This version is effective from 12 September 2026.
