Punjab's factories sell to dealers, and its clinics to families with one foot abroad.

Punjab's money comes from two directions. The fields and factories of the Malwa, from Ludhiana down to Bathinda, sell wheat, cotton, knitwear and machine parts to the rest of India. The Doaba around Jalandhar has close family ties to the UK and Canada and spends remittance money at home.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

A regional business owner speaks with a remote adviser by video call

At a glance

Punjab's manufacturers in Ludhiana and Jalandhar sell knitwear and sports goods through dealers and exporters. Its hospitals and immigration firms sell to families who compare everything first, often with a relative abroad. GullySales builds the enquiry and follow-up system behind both kinds of sale, and measures it on orders rather than clicks.

Those two economies buy differently. A Ludhiana dealer wants a rate list and a sample by courier. A Jalandhar family building a house or booking a wedding hall decides partly on what a cousin in Brampton says on a video call.

Around Punjab

What is made, grown and sold in Punjab, and how it is bought.

  1. Ludhiana

India's hosiery and knitwear manufacturing centre, alongside bicycle, auto-parts and machine-tool manufacturing sold through dealer networks and exporters.

  2. Jalandhar

A major sports goods and leather goods manufacturing hub, selling to dealers, distributors and export agents across the world, in a Doaba district with strong family links abroad.

  3. Amritsar

Pilgrims and tourists at the Golden Temple keep hotels and eateries busy all year. Majith Mandi has long been a dry fruit wholesale market, historically supplied by road through Attari.

  4. Bathinda

The Malwa cotton belt's market town, with ginning units, a large grain mandi, the refinery at Phulokhari in the district, and a busy trade in IELTS coaching and study visas.

  5. Mohali

Part of the Chandigarh tricity. IT and pharmaceutical companies, corporate offices and a growing healthcare sector, with buyers who search first.

  6. Patiala

Phulkari and juttis from the old city bazaars, a university town's colleges and coaching, and engineering and agro-processing units at the focal point and in nearby Rajpura.

How buyers decide

How buyers in Punjab find and choose a business

Most Punjab buyers search and message in Punjabi or Hindi, even when the website is in English, and many prefer a WhatsApp voice note to typing. A dealer from Haryana or Rajasthan buying from Ludhiana usually finds the unit on IndiaMART or through a wholesaler, then asks for the rate list on WhatsApp before calling.

Punjab buys by the farm and wedding calendar. Wheat is cut in April and paddy in October, and rural spending follows each harvest. The wedding season runs through the winter, when NRI families fly home. The Canadian and Australian study intakes set the pace for IELTS centres and visa consultants.

Trust still travels through people. A buyer will try a new supplier or clinic because a relative abroad or a dealer already buying named it. The order then goes to whoever replies the same day, in their language, with a price.

The problem

Where Punjab businesses lose orders.

What we see most often in Punjab, in the words owners use on the first call.

  • “Our NRI enquiries arrive while we are asleep”

NRI families in Canada and the UK message during their evening, which is early morning in Punjab. A hospital, builder or wedding venue that replies after the office opens has often lost the family to one that answered first.

  • “Our dealers only buy at the start of the season”

Knitwear and farm implements sell on a fixed calendar in Punjab, and a dealer who has booked stock with a competitor will not switch for a year. Units that start calling dealers once the season has opened are selling to the leftovers.

  • “Everyone asks for a lower rate on WhatsApp”

Punjab buyers are used to bargaining face to face, and a rate list sent as a bare PDF invites a counter-offer. Businesses that explain what the price includes, and follow up with a call, hold their rate more often.

  • “Our best customers came through relatives, and that has slowed”

Referrals inside extended families built many Punjab businesses, but those families are now split between Punjab and Canada. The referral still happens, as a search or a forwarded WhatsApp message, and a business with no reviews or website loses it.

What we do

What we would do for Punjab businesses.

Usually in this order, starting with whatever we rank first once we have read your brief.

  1. WhatsApp marketing and automation

Quote follow-ups, reminders and repeat-order messages on the channel Punjab customers already use.

  2. Lead response and follow-up

A named person for every enquiry, a reply routine and a follow-up date on each one until it is won or closed, so Punjab buyers stop going to whoever replied first.

  3. Local SEO

A Google Business Profile, reviews and location pages set up so the right Punjab buyers find you on Maps and call.

  4. Search engine optimisation

Pages built for what buyers actually search, so enquiries arrive from search without paying for every click.

  5. Google Ads

Campaigns judged on cost per enquiry and cost per order, with wasted searches cut as they appear.

  6. CRM implementation and customisation

One record of every enquiry and customer, set up so your team opens it daily and the pipeline is visible.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for Punjab businesses.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

Working from Bengaluru

  1. 1

    The conversation, by call

No travel needed to find where orders are lost. Last month's enquiries in any format are enough.

  2. 2

Kick-off in person, when it helps

For sales process, CRM or dealer work, a visit to your premises can help. Whether one is needed is decided with you, and any travel is agreed in advance.

  3. 3

    Day to day on WhatsApp

Questions, approvals and drafts in one thread, and an enquiry record both sides can see.

  4. 4

Review sessions in person when needed

When the plan changes direction or the team needs training, we come back.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions Punjab owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should our website be in Punjabi as well as English?
For most consumer businesses, yes, at least the key pages and the WhatsApp replies. Buyers in the Malwa and Doaba towns often type English words into search but ask their questions in Punjabi, and a reply in their language gets a warmer answer. Manufacturers selling to dealers in other states usually need Hindi and English more than Punjabi.
Is it worth marketing to NRI families directly, or only to their relatives here?
Usually both, with different messages. The relative in Punjab visits and checks, while the family abroad often pays and decides, so pages and replies need to work for someone choosing from Canada or the UK. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we look at where your recent enquiries came from before any spend is planned.
Our business rises and falls with harvests and weddings. When should we start?
A couple of months before the season opens, so pages, offers and follow-up are ready when buyers start asking. In rural Punjab, spending tends to follow the wheat harvest in April and the paddy harvest in October, and weddings cluster in the winter months. Starting at the peak means answering enquiries with half a system.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and we tell you which applies to you after we have spoken. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
To start, last month's enquiries in any format and time with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
