Electrical contractors · Search engine optimisation

A consultant googles your firm's name after seeing it on a list.

SEO for an electrical contractor covers two searches: a builder checking a firm they have been given, and a homeowner typing the fault they are living with. GullySales builds the project records and licence pages one reads, and the symptom pages the other does.

A street junction fingerpost: several lettered direction arms on one post, the top arm freshly painted and pointing down your street while the others have weathered, with the paint tin and brush still at its foot

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For electrical contractors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • The firm-name search matters more than any keyword

A consultant with your name on a shortlist opens a browser before opening the BOQ, and what they find decides whether the drawings reach you.

  • The homeowner types the fault, not the trade

MCB tripping, a burning smell from a socket and adding load for an air conditioner are the searches, and none of them contain the word contractor.

  • Your licence class is page content, not a footnote

Builders and purchase teams check the class, the enlistment and the approvals you have handled, and most contractor sites carry none of it.

What we do

What we deliver for electrical contractors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A project record page for each significant job

Scope, connected load, the approvals handled, the supply company involved and photographs of the panel room and cable routes, one page per job.

Result: A consultant sees you have done this work before.

  2. A licence and enlistment page

Your contractor licence class, registration, enlistments and the categories you are eligible to bid in, stated plainly and kept current by your office.

Result: A builder can check you without a phone call.

  3. Scope pages for HT, LT, solar and EV work

Separate pages for substation and transformer work, internal wiring, rooftop solar and EV charger installation, each written for the buyer who searches it.

Result: The enquiry arrives already in the right scope.

  4. Homeowner fault pages

Frequent tripping, a burning smell, old aluminium wiring and adding load for air conditioners, written plainly with what a site visit would check.

Result: Owners of older homes reach a licensed firm.

  5. Your firm's name tidied everywhere it appears

The site, the map listing, IndiaMART, JustDial and every directory entry giving one address, one number and one description of the firm.

Result: A search for your name returns one firm.

  6. Monthly report of enquiries by page

Calls and form enquiries traced to each project and scope page, read against the baseline recorded before the work began.

Result: You see which page brings site visits.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for electrical contractors

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at where your last two years of work came from, how many estimates turned into jobs, and how much depends on one or two builders.

  2. 2

    Fix the estimate follow-up

A log for every BOQ and estimate, a follow-up call schedule and a record of why jobs are lost.

  3. 3

    Build the proof

Project records with approvals and photographs, a company profile and a list of references who will take a call.

  4. 4

    Widen the sources

Consultant and builder outreach, factory and facility manager contact, and local search for home jobs.

  5. 5

    Keep them sending work

Regular contact with every builder and consultant who has sent a job, and a thank-you when a project closes.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

We get work through consultants. Why would SEO matter?
Because the consultant checks you online before sending the BOQ, and so does the builder's purchase team. A site carrying five documented projects and your licence class does that job. The homeowner searches are a separate and smaller line of work.
Can we write about approvals and inspectorate work?
Describe what you have handled and keep the rules general. Approval requirements differ by state and by supply company and they change, so the page sends a reader to the inspectorate or their own supply company. The licence at risk is yours, so your office approves the wording.
Can marketing help a contractor who gets all work through contacts?
Yes, by adding contacts on purpose rather than by chance. Most of the work is a written list of builders and consultants and a call to each one every few months. Local search then catches the homeowners who need rewiring.
How do we show consultants we can handle HT and approval work?
With documented projects. A short record of each transformer, substation or HT job, with the approvals obtained and photographs of the installation, changes what a consultant sends you.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
