Landscape contractors · Local SEO

Owners hire the contractor whose gardens they can drive to.

Local SEO for a landscaping contractor is the Maps listing and the area pages deciding who appears when somebody nearby searches for a garden or a maintenance contract. GullySales sets up the Business Profile, fills it with mature garden photographs, and builds out the parts of the city you serve.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For landscape contractors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Your nursery or yard address is worth more than a service area”

A contractor with stock, staff and a gate a customer can visit has a real pin on the map. Listing it properly separates you from a gardener working off a two-wheeler.

  • “Photographs of flowering beds beat a logo on the profile”

People choose a garden contractor with their eyes. Six mature gardens shown across the city do work that a description never will.

  • “Maintenance customers search a very small radius”

A committee wants a crew that can be at the gate by seven in the morning. Past a few kilometres your rate has to be better, and it rarely is.

What we do

What we deliver for landscape contractors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A Business Profile that shows the gardens

Claimed listing with the right category, working hours, service areas and a set of mature garden photographs from across the city.

Result: People choosing with their eyes have something to look at.

  2. Area pages for the localities you serve

Pages naming the parts of the city where you have built and where you maintain, with the projects there and the kind of housing.

Result: You appear where your crews can actually get to.

  3. Photographs added every month

A routine for the site supervisor to send pictures from maintenance rounds, posted to the profile with the area named.

Result: The listing looks like a working contractor, not an old advertisement.

  4. Reviews asked for at renewal and in the second summer

A request routine for committees, facility managers and villa owners, timed to the moment the garden has proved itself.

Result: Recent reviews sit under your name when somebody searches.

  5. Listings made to agree

Name, address and phone matched across Google, JustDial, IndiaMART and the directories, with the nursery or yard address used consistently.

Result: Nothing online sends a buyer to an address you left.

  6. A Maps report

Calls, direction requests and website clicks from the profile by area, set against the baseline recorded before work starts.

Result: You can see which part of the city is finding you.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What Google weighs here

How a villa owner or an architect finds a garden contractor nearby, and what to fix first.

Garden design, nursery or contractor
Pick the category that matches how you earn: garden designer, nursery or landscape contractor. A firm that also owns a nursery should say so in the description.
Work types as services
List terrace garden, vertical garden, drip irrigation, lawn laying and garden maintenance contract separately. Each is a different buyer searching a different phrase.
Nursery address and visiting hours
If the nursery is open to visitors, give its hours and the gate. Plant buyers come with a list, and a closed gate on a Sunday costs you the sale.
Photographs of mature gardens
Add pictures of gardens that are a few years old, with the locality in the caption. Anyone can photograph a fresh bed, so mature work builds trust.
Questions on upkeep
Answer who waters after handover, what a maintenance contract covers and which plants you advise against for the monsoon. Owners ask this before the site visit.

Who it is for

This is written for these landscape contractors.

  • Garden design and build contractors for villas
  • Softscape and hardscape contractors for apartment projects
  • Corporate campus and institutional grounds contractors
  • Terrace, rooftop and vertical garden specialists
  • Irrigation and drip system installers
  • Garden maintenance and upkeep contract companies
  • Nursery-owned landscaping businesses
  • Hotel, resort and farmhouse garden developers

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You work from a home or a site office you do not wish to publish, so check the platform's current rules on service-area listings first.
  • You have no photographs of finished gardens in your own city, and a fuller listing would still show an empty gallery.
  • Your clients are in other cities and you travel to them, and a local listing would draw enquiries from a radius you do not serve.

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Write down what is true

Each branch's real address, signboard name, phone, hours and owning Google account go into one record you sign off. Every later listing is copied from it.

  2. 2

    Search as your buyer does

We search each branch on a phone from points around it, in your buyers' words, and note who appears with what reviews and photos.

  3. 3

    Fix the profile first

Ownership first, then name, address, pin, phone, hours and business type. Google can suspend a profile with extra words in its name or an address that is not a real premises.

  4. 4

Build the branch pages and match the listings

Each real branch gets its own page, and the other listings are changed to agree with it. We write none for towns without a branch, because Google treats near-identical pages as doorway pages.

  5. 5

    Ask, reply and measure

We agree with each branch who asks for reviews, when and how. Results are set against the baseline recorded before work began, and the branch that is behind gets the next round.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

We work across the whole city. Should the profile say so?
Set a service area matching where your crews can reach on a working morning. Claiming the whole district does not put you in every map pack, and a maintenance client who waits until noon will not renew.
Do reviews from apartment projects help with villa owners?
Yes, because they prove you can keep something alive for years. A villa owner reading that you have maintained a clubhouse since 2022 believes you can handle a small garden. Ask committees at renewal, while they are already signing.
Should the nursery and the contracting business share a listing?
If they are one premises and one phone, yes. Choose the category earning most and list the other as services. If the nursery is a separate address with its own staff, give it its own profile so plant buyers and garden clients do not mix.
Can we show a client's garden on the profile?
With the client's permission, and without the street address. Name the locality and the type of garden instead. A villa owner's garden is private, so avoid photographs showing people or entrances unless they agree.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
