What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For automobile spare parts distributors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The searcher types a part and a vehicle, not your name”

A mechanic or purchase manager searches a part name with a vehicle model, or a brand with a part type. A site that lists only your company history answers none of those searches. Pages built around brands and vehicle types do.

  • “The right visitor to a distributor's site is a trade buyer”

Retail buyers searching for one part for one car are not your customers. The pages must say plainly that you supply counters, garages and fleets, or the calls you get will be from people you cannot serve.

  • “A part list in a scanned PDF is invisible to search”

Some distributors keep their catalogue as an image or a heavy PDF. Search cannot read it well. Brand pages with text lists of part families and the vehicles they fit give search something to index.

  • “Your territory is part of the query”

A garage owner wants a supplier who can deliver today. Pages naming the towns and localities you cover, and the delivery arrangement, match the search to the supplier who can actually reach them.

What we do

What we deliver for automobile spare parts distributors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A brand and part-family page set

One page per brand or part family you carry, with fitments, grades such as genuine and aftermarket, and how a trade buyer orders.

Result: Each brand you carry has its own page that a search can land on.

  2. Territory and delivery pages

Pages naming the districts and towns you supply, how the van or courier runs, and who to call.

Result: A buyer in a covered town can see you reach them.

  3. A text catalogue structure

Part families, vehicle models and part numbers set out as text so search and the buyer can read them.

Result: The catalogue is readable without downloading a file.

  4. Trade-only wording

Plain statements that you supply workshops, counters and fleets, with the way to open a trade account.

Result: A retail buyer learns at once that this is a trade supplier.

  5. Technical basics

Titles, page speed on mobile, sitemap and tracking set up so the pages can be found and measured.

Result: Search Console shows the pages indexed and the queries that reach them.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these automobile spare parts distributors.

  • Two-wheeler spare parts distributors serving counters and small garages
  • Car and light vehicle spare parts distributors
  • Commercial vehicle parts distributors for truck and bus operators
  • Tyre, tube and battery distributors
  • Lubricant, filter and consumables distributors
  • Multi-brand aftermarket distributors with a wide part list
  • Authorised distributors for a single maker's genuine parts
  • Tractor and agricultural vehicle parts distributors

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Your part list exists only as scanned sheets and nobody will convert it, so there would be no readable page for a search to find.
  • You sell only through brand-appointed channels and take no new trade buyers, so search would bring enquiries you must turn away.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At an interval agreed in writing we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

Will SEO put us at the top for every part?
No ranking can be promised. Search results depend on competition and the searcher's location. The work is to make your brand and fitment pages clear, so they can qualify for the searches that match what you stock.
We have thousands of part numbers. Do they all need pages?
No. Start with the brands and part families that carry your sales, and add depth where garages actually search. A page for every number would thin the site without adding buyers.
Does the retail buyer hurt our SEO?
A retail enquiry costs staff time but does not harm the site. Trade-only wording on the page and a short reply that points the retail buyer to a counter keeps the phones free for the trade.
Does the vehicle model or the part number matter more in a search?
Both appear, but mechanics name the vehicle and the part in words, and part numbers come later. Build pages around the vehicle model and the part name first, and show the number as a detail the buyer can match against the catalogue.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
