Road transport companies · Search engine optimisation

Be the transporter a factory finds when it searches for a lorry between two towns.

SEO for a road transport company is the work of making your lanes, vehicle types and booking offices appear when someone searches for goods transport between two places. GullySales works on lane pages, site structure and the wording buyers type, so that a stranger can tell you run their route.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For road transport companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Buyers search for a pair of towns, not for a brand”

A purchase manager types transport from one town to another, or lorry booking for a market. A site that only says transport services in India answers none of those searches. Each route you run needs a page that says so.

  • “A phone number is not a route”

Some transport sites show a lorry photograph and a number. A visitor cannot learn which towns you serve, which goods you carry or whether you take part loads, so they leave and ring the next result.

  • “Part load and full load are different searches”

A trader with a few bales wants part-load booking, while a factory with a full vehicle wants a truck on hire. One catch-all page serves neither. Separate pages let each searcher see their own need answered.

  • “Old pages from agents and directories outrank your own”

Booking agents and listing sites may hold older details about your company. If those details disagree with your site, search engines and buyers lose trust. Names, addresses and lanes must match everywhere.

What we do

What we deliver for road transport companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A lane page for each route

Route, vehicle types, goods carried, booking office at each end and how to book, written in the words a buyer would search.

Result: Each lane you run has an address a searcher can land on.

  2. Separate part-load and full-load pages

One page for small consignments and one for whole-vehicle bookings, each with its own questions answered.

Result: A trader and a factory each land on a page written for them.

  3. Title and description wording for every page

Plain titles that name the service and the towns, checked against the phrases buyers actually use.

Result: Search results show your lanes in readable words.

  4. A clean site structure

Menus, internal links and page speed set so that a phone visitor on a weak connection reaches the booking number in a tap.

Result: The booking line is reachable from every page.

  5. Matching details across the web

Name, address and lane lists made identical on your site, directory listings and agent pages.

Result: One company name and address everywhere it appears.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

Buyers search for a pair of towns and a kind of load, so build pages for those.

transport service Surat to Delhi
A lane page naming the booking offices at both ends, the goods you carry on the route and the number to call, written once for that pair of towns.
part load transport from Ludhiana to Kolkata
A part-load page that says how packages are collected, where they wait in the godown and how the lorry receipt is issued.
full truck load booking Pune to Hyderabad
A full-load page that lists vehicle types, loading at the consignor's gate and how the vehicle is confirmed before it arrives.
transport company near me booking office
A page for each booking office with its address, landmark and the person who answers, matching the listing details on the map.
door delivery transport godown to shop
A page for delivery at the destination, describing where the godown is and what a receiver should carry to collect.

Who it is for

This is written for these road transport companies.

  • Goods transport companies running fixed lanes between towns
  • Part-load and parcel transporters with booking offices in transport nagars
  • Full-load operators who book vehicles for traders and factories
  • Tempo and mini-truck operators for in-city and nearby-town runs
  • Transporters serving cloth, hardware and general wholesale markets
  • Transporters serving industrial estates and engineering clusters
  • Commission agents who book goods for several transporters
  • Transport companies with their own godown and door delivery at the destination

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Your lanes change with the season and no one maintains lane pages, so a page would promise a route you stop running.
  • The booking number on your listings and pages is still answered by whoever is free, so searchers would reach a missed call.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At an interval agreed in writing we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

How long before the site ranks for our lanes?
We cannot give a timeline or promise a position. Rankings depend on competing sites and on your content. We build the pages, fix the structure and report what the search tools show against your starting point.
Do we need a page for every town pair?
One for each route you genuinely run, and no more. Pages for routes you do not serve bring wrong calls. If a lane is added later, a new page is added with it.
Can SEO replace our market visits?
No. Regular traders book on trust and word of mouth in the market. SEO reaches the factory or new trader who searches first, and works beside visits rather than in place of them.
Should a lane page list the rate per kilogram?
Do not print a rate on the lane page. Freight depends on the goods, the weight, the loading point and the season, so a printed number is wrong for most callers. Say what the rate depends on and give the booking line, so the clerk quotes with the full facts.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
