Aquaculture companies · Lead generation

Find the farmers and buyers who are ready to talk before a competitor reaches the village.

Lead generation for an aquaculture company means two streams of enquiry: landowners and pond farmers who may join the programme, and processors, traders and institutions who may buy the harvest. GullySales works on where each stream starts, how it is logged and who picks it up.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What lead generation means

Lead generation is the combined work of every channel that brings in a new enquiry, whether from search, adverts, referrals or a stall at an exhibition. GullySales runs these channels together and reports the number of enquiries each one produced, not the activity behind it.

For aquaculture companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A farmer's first enquiry rarely starts with the company”

The landowner hears about fish ponds at a tea stall, from a cousin or after a bore well runs dry. The first contact is a question to a neighbour, so the company has to be findable in that conversation, with a number worth calling.

  • “Buyer leads come from a different door”

A plant procurement head or hotel purchase manager does not answer a village meeting notice. They respond to a volume plan, a farm list and a record of size grades, sent to the right person by name.

  • “Field meetings produce names that never get written down”

Forty people attend a meeting, ten show interest and the officer remembers four. The rest become leads only if somebody records village, pond size and species before the hall empties.

  • “Investor and landowner leads are quiet”

A bank officer or a landowner with idle acreage asks for documents, not for a pitch. These leads need a pack that answers questions in advance and a named person to send it.

What we do

What we deliver for aquaculture companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Source map for farmers

A sheet of every route a farmer reaches you by: field meeting, neighbour referral, phone call, WhatsApp, fisheries office, producer organisation. Each is given a tag in the log.

Result: You can see which routes bring farmers and which only bring noise.

  2. A capture form in the local language

A short form on paper, WhatsApp and the website asking name, village, land or pond size, species interest and best time to call.

Result: Every enquiry arrives with the same five facts.

  3. Buyer target list

Plants, exporters, hotel groups and wholesalers near your farms, with the procurement contact and the species and size they buy.

Result: A list the sales head can call from on Monday morning.

  4. Meeting follow-up routine

A fixed step after each field meeting: names entered the same day, a message sent to each, a visit slot offered.

Result: Every attendee has a logged status, interested or not.

  5. Investor and landowner pack

A short document drawn from your own farm records and programme terms, sent on request.

Result: One pack, with each statement traceable to your papers.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries generated
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries by source

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to capture or send

Write down what a farmer or buyer tells you at the first meeting.

Village, mandal and water source
Noted by the field officer at the meeting, so the nearest technical visit can be planned and the area's farmers can be grouped.
Species and pond area
Shrimp or fish and the number of ponds, in the farmer's words, which shows the kind of support the farmer is asking for.
Current seed and feed source
Who supplies them today, recorded without comment, so the pitch answers a real comparison and not a guess.
Language and best time to call
Telugu, Tamil, Odia or Kannada, and the hour the farmer is free, so the first return call reaches a person.
Buyer's species, size and delivery point
For a plant or hotel enquiry, the grade wanted and the receiving address, so the offtake discussion starts from a real specification.

Who it is for

This is written for these aquaculture companies.

  • Integrated aquaculture companies with their own farms and contract farmers
  • Companies running a shrimp or fish contract-farming programme
  • Cage culture and reservoir fisheries companies
  • Companies with a farm, a hatchery and a processing link
  • Aquaculture technology companies selling to farms and companies
  • Aquaculture start-ups and company-backed farms seeking investors or partners
  • Aquaculture companies owned by a farmer producer organisation
  • Companies that supply seed, feed and advice to farmers

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • No one is assigned to ring a farmer back after the field visit, and more names would sit on paper.
  • The company has no written programme terms yet, so a lead would hear different promises from different officers.
  • The officers do not have the local language of the area you are trying to reach.

How it works

How the lead generation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand your capacity

We ask how many enquiries your team can answer well, who answers after hours, and what a good enquiry looks like. Without this, the system fills a funnel nobody is watching.

  2. 2

    Audit current sources

We read your call log, WhatsApp chats, enquiry sheet and platform dashboards. The baseline is recorded: enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order.

  3. 3

    Strategise the channel mix

Search and maps are chosen for people ready to buy, ads for people who are not yet looking, and content and referrals for trust.

  4. 4

    Implement capture and follow-up

Pages, forms, tags, the lead record and the first-reply message are built and tested end to end. We submit test enquiries ourselves before any media money is spent.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

Enquiries are traced to source and judged by what became orders, not by volume alone. Channels that fill the sheet with poor enquiries are cut back. How often you are reported to is agreed in writing.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Which leads should the field officer chase first?
Start with the enquiries that have land ready, water available and a clear species interest. Leave the curious for a later message. The log should hold those three facts so the order is visible to everyone.
Can you buy farmer lists for us?
We do not recommend bought lists. A farmer who did not ask to hear from you rarely treats a call kindly. We build routes where the farmer asks first, and record each one.
Do you promise a number of leads?
No. Enquiries depend on district, season, your programme terms and the field team. We set up the sources and the log, then show you which sources your enquiries come from.
Should every farmer lead get a visit?
No. Rank by pond readiness, distance from a collection point and whether the farmer holds the right water and land documents. A visit costs an officer a day, so the field team's travel is the constraint that decides who goes first.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
