Environmental consulting companies · Lead generation

Bring in promoters whose project needs the studies your team actually writes.

Lead generation for an environmental consultancy means reaching promoters, plant heads and company secretaries at the moment a clearance, consent or notice forces a decision. GullySales works on the pages, introductions and enquiry sheet that bring in projects your team is equipped to take.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What lead generation means

Lead generation is the combined work of every channel that brings in a new enquiry, whether from search, adverts, referrals or a stall at an exhibition. GullySales runs these channels together and reports the number of enquiries each one produced, not the activity behind it.

For environmental consulting companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The trigger decides the enquiry”

A promoter does not search for a consultant in general. A new plant, an expansion, a consent renewal date or a show-cause notice sends them looking, and each trigger needs its own page and its own first question. A single services page answers none of them well.

  • “Wrong-fit enquiries eat the first call”

A caller who needs a mining plan reaches a firm that works on small factory consents, and an hour goes into finding that out. Stating the project types, the authorities and the sizes you take filters the call before it reaches your phone.

  • “Referral leads arrive unrecorded”

An architect mentions your name to a client, the client calls, and nobody notes who sent them. Without the source written down, the next architect is never thanked and the route quietly dries up.

  • “A lead that has no stage is a guess”

Enquiries sit in a phone log with no mark for project class, location or who else decides. The owner cannot tell which ones deserve a site visit this week and which are only curious.

What we do

What we deliver for environmental consulting companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Trigger pages for each project type

Separate pages for new plant clearance, expansion, consent renewal, audit and notice response, each with the papers a promoter should gather before calling.

Result: A promoter can see the right page for their situation and the documents list before the first call.

  2. A first-call question sheet

Project type, location, capacity, stage and decision makers, written as a sheet your team fills on every new enquiry.

Result: Every enquiry carries the same facts, so a scope can be written from the sheet.

  3. Source tagging for every enquiry

A field recording whether the lead came from search, an architect, a lender, an association or a past client.

Result: The owner can read which route brought each signed scope.

  4. Search ads for urgent triggers

Small, tightly worded ads for notice response and consent renewal searches, pointing to the matching page.

Result: The ads land on a page that answers the search, not on the home page.

  5. A list of referrers to approach

Architects, project managers, bank appraisal officers and legal advisers in your region, with the reason each might suggest you.

Result: A named list your team works through, with a note against each contact.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries generated
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries by source

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to capture or send

Record these at the first call so the enquiry can be judged.

The trigger that made them call
A show-cause notice, a lender's condition, an expansion plan or a renewal date. Entered by whoever takes the call, since the trigger sets how urgent the scope is.
Project type and site
New plant, expansion, mine, building or existing unit, with the district. It tells you which board office applies and whether your team has handled that kind of work.
What clearance or consent they already hold
Copies or reference details of earlier approvals. Without them the scope cannot be priced, and the promoter learns early what to bring.
Who else is deciding
The partner, the company secretary or the lender's engineer named at the first call. Written down so the scope is addressed to the right reader.
Who sent them
Architect, lender, lab, past client or search. Recorded on the enquiry, so the referrers worth thanking and meeting again are visible later.

Who it is for

This is written for these environmental consulting companies.

  • EIA and environmental clearance consultants for industry, mining and real estate
  • Consent to establish and consent to operate consultants for small and medium plants
  • Environmental audit and statement preparation firms
  • Hazardous waste and authorisation compliance advisers
  • Water, effluent and air compliance consultants for factories
  • Green building and sustainability certification consultants
  • ESG and sustainability reporting advisers for listed and supplier companies
  • Freelance and small-team consultants who work alongside a lab or a legal adviser

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Your technical team is fully booked with signed studies, so more enquiries would only be turned away or answered late.
  • You have not decided which project types you will decline, so the first calls would be spent on scopes you do not want.

How it works

How the lead generation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand your capacity

We ask how many enquiries your team can answer well, who answers after hours, and what a good enquiry looks like. Without this, the system fills a funnel nobody is watching.

  2. 2

    Audit current sources

We read your call log, WhatsApp chats, enquiry sheet and platform dashboards. The baseline is recorded: enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order.

  3. 3

    Strategise the channel mix

Search and maps are chosen for people ready to buy, ads for people who are not yet looking, and content and referrals for trust.

  4. 4

    Implement capture and follow-up

Pages, forms, tags, the lead record and the first-reply message are built and tested end to end. We submit test enquiries ourselves before any media money is spent.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

Enquiries are traced to source and judged by what became orders, not by volume alone. Channels that fill the sheet with poor enquiries are cut back. How often you are reported to is agreed in writing.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Which enquiries should we chase and which should we decline?
Chase the project types and sizes your team has handled, in states where you know the board. Decline or pass on the rest politely. A short decline that names a better-placed colleague can earn a referral later.
Do paid ads suit a consultancy with a few expert staff?
Only for urgent searches such as notice response, where the buyer wants an answer today. Keep spending small and match each ad to one page. Referral routes suit a small team better than broad advertising.
How do we know a lead is serious?
A serious lead can state the capacity, the location and the stage, and names who decides. The first-call sheet captures exactly those points, so the answer is visible on paper rather than a feeling after the call.
Should we buy lead lists of industries in our district?
Not as a first step. A list gives names without a trigger, and a promoter with no notice or deadline rarely wants a consultant. Pages and introductions that meet the person at the trigger bring better-fit enquiries. Check the source and consent of any list before you use it.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
