Recording studios · Local SEO

Show up on the map for the singer who wants a room near home.

Local SEO for a recording studio is the work of appearing in the map results when a nearby artist or company searches for a studio, using a complete listing, correct location details and reviews that describe real sessions. GullySales works on the listing, the area it should cover and the reviews that sit behind it.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For recording studios

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Artists travel with instruments and a friend”

A singer with a guitarist will not cross the city on a bad road at night. The studio that appears for the nearer search, with parking and a clear entrance described, is the one chosen.

  • “A first-floor studio is hard to find”

Plenty of studios sit above a shop or inside a building with no board. If the listing has no pin that is exact, no entrance photograph and no landmark, the artist arrives late or rings from the wrong street.

  • “Reviews from artists describe the engineer, not the room”

A review that names the engineer and the song recorded persuades the next singer far more than five stars alone. Without a way to ask for them, the best sessions go unreviewed.

  • “A rehearsal room and a recording room are different searches”

If the building offers both, one listing blurs the two. The profile must say what is booked, by whom and for how long, so that each searcher sees the service they came for.

What we do

What we deliver for recording studios.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A complete map listing

The studio name, address, pin, opening days, photographs of the rooms and the entrance, and the sessions offered, filled in and checked.

Result: Searching your own studio name shows a full, accurate listing.

  2. Directions that work on a phone

A written route with a landmark, the floor, the parking and a photograph of the board or door, added to the listing and the website.

Result: A visiting artist finds the door on the first attempt.

  3. A review request for each finished session

A short message with the review link sent to the artist or company once the files are delivered, asking about the session itself.

Result: New reviews name real sessions and the engineer.

  4. Replies to every review

A plain written reply to each review, including the critical ones, in the studio's own voice.

Result: A reader sees that the studio listens.

  5. A check of how the studio is described elsewhere

The name, address and phone as they appear in directories, music school pages and social profiles, corrected to match.

Result: Every place the studio is listed gives the same details.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

Place searches made by artists who must carry instruments to a room.

recording studio near me
A complete map listing with opening hours by appointment, photos of the room and the floor and landmark.
music studio near Indiranagar
An area page naming the locality, the nearest metro or road and where an auto or car can stop for instruments.
rehearsal room for band
A separate listing or page for rehearsal, kept apart from recording so the two searches reach the right door.
voice over studio near me
A listing line for voice work with the booth described, since agency staff search for a room close to their office.
studio on first floor with lift
A directions note saying whether there is a lift or stairs, which matters for amplifiers and drum kits.

Who it is for

This is written for these recording studios.

  • Music recording studios for singers, bands and independent artists
  • Mixing and mastering studios taking files from outside
  • Voice-over and dubbing studios for ads and films
  • Audiobook and narration recording studios
  • Jingle and ad audio studios working with agencies
  • Studios inside music schools and academies
  • Home studios and project studios run by one engineer
  • Rehearsal and recording studios sharing one building

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • The studio is in a home with no signboard and you do not want visitors to find the address.
  • You have no photographs of the room, and a listing without them is passed over.
  • You expect the map to bring agencies, who ask a friend before they search.

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Write down what is true

Each branch's real address, signboard name, phone, hours and owning Google account go into one record you sign off. Every later listing is copied from it.

  2. 2

    Search as your buyer does

We search each branch on a phone from points around it, in your buyers' words, and note who appears with what reviews and photos.

  3. 3

    Fix the profile first

Ownership first, then name, address, pin, phone, hours and business type. Google can suspend a profile with extra words in its name or an address that is not a real premises.

  4. 4

Build the branch pages and match the listings

Each real branch gets its own page, and the other listings are changed to agree with it. We write none for towns without a branch, because Google treats near-identical pages as doorway pages.

  5. 5

    Ask, reply and measure

We agree with each branch who asks for reviews, when and how. Results are set against the baseline recorded before work began, and the branch that is behind gets the next round.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do we need a shop-front to have a map listing?
Not necessarily. A studio that takes visits by appointment can be listed, with the address and the appointment note. Check the platform's current rules for businesses without walk-in hours.
Should the rehearsal room and studio share one listing?
If they share a building, a name and a phone line, one listing with both services described is usual. A separate listing needs its own name, hours and contact, so check the platform's current rules before splitting them.
Should reviews mention the engineer by name?
Yes, if the engineer agrees. Artists choose a person as much as a room, and a name in a review helps the next artist find the right session. Ask in your thank-you note what the artist liked, and reply to each review in your own words.
Do we need a shop-front to have a map listing?
No, but you need a real address and a way for visitors to reach it, and you should check the platform's current rules for businesses by appointment. A studio on an upper floor can list with hours by appointment and clear directions, which stops artists arriving at a locked door.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
