VFX studios · Website
Build a site where a supervisor finds the reel for their shot and sends a bid request.
A website for a VFX studio is the place a supervisor opens to check the studio after a recommendation, holding cleared reels, credits, the team and a bid form. GullySales works on the structure, the written content and the enquiry form.
Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What website means
A website is the page a customer lands on after searching, clicking an advert or scanning a code, and it decides whether they call or leave. GullySales builds and maintains sites that load quickly, explain the offer plainly and make the enquiry form or phone number easy to find.

For VFX studios
Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.
“The visit is a check, not a discovery”
Someone recommended the studio and now opens the site to confirm. They look for reels, credits, the team and the size of the house. A site that is a single landing page with a showreel and a contact address fails that check.
“Heavy video slows the page”
Large video files make a site sluggish on a producer's phone and on a hotel connection. Host reels on a video platform, keep the page around them in text, and let the video load when it is played.
“The enquiry form shapes the bid request”
A form asking only for name and message brings vague requests. Asking for shot count, format, schedule window, software needs and project stage lets the studio decide whether a bid is worth preparing.
“Private viewing needs a door”
Work under NDA can be shown to a buyer in private. A password-protected page with a request form offers that without publishing anything. Without it, the strongest work stays unseen by the people most likely to hire for it.
What we do
What we deliver for VFX studios.
Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.
Site structure
Pages for services by shot type, reels, credits, team, overseas buyers and the bid form, planned before design starts.
Result: Each page has one reader and one purpose.
Reel pages
A page for each cleared reel, with the project, shot types, role and tools written beside the video.
Result: Every reel is accompanied by words that name it.
Credits page
A list of projects with year, role and shot types, limited to what the client has cleared.
Result: Credits can be checked against the productions.
Team page
Named leads with their roles and past productions, for those who agree to be listed.
Result: A supervisor can see who will do the work.
Bid enquiry form
A form asking for shot count, format, schedule window, software needs and project stage.
Result: Each enquiry arrives with the details needed to decide.
Private viewing page
A protected page for work under NDA, opened only to a buyer the client has approved.
Result: Restricted work is shown to named people only.
How the result is measured
- Page load time
- Bounce rate
- Enquiries from the website
Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.
Searches your buyers type
The VFX website should answer these questions on the first visit.
- Can you do my kind of shot
- A shot-type page for each service with a reel and a text description of the role, so a supervisor sees relevant work in one click.
- Who worked on it
- A credits page listing shows and the studio's role on each, within what clients permit, which a producer checks against a trade database.
- Who will I be speaking to
- A team page with supervisors and producers named, with their agreement, so the visitor knows who owns the bid.
- How do I send a bid request
- A form that asks for shot count, shot types, format and dates, and offers a secure way to describe what is under NDA.
- Can I see work under NDA
- A private viewing page reached by request, with a short sign-in step, for work that cannot be on the public reel.
Who it is for
This is written for these VFX studios.
- Compositing and cleanup studios for features and series
- Studios specialising in environments and set extension
- Creature, character and simulation studios
- Studios doing advertising VFX and product CGI
- Roto, paint and prep outsourcing studios
- Virtual production and LED-stage service providers
- Studios offering stereo conversion and finishing
- Boutique studios that supervise on set and deliver in post
Not for
It is not the right fit if.
- Your reels are not yet cut to show individual shot types, and a site with a single long reel would hide the work.
- The team does not want names on the site, so a page for people would stay empty.
How it works
How the website work runs
The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.
- 1
Confirm structure and content
We agree the page list, what each page must answer, and who supplies the text and photographs, before any design starts.
- 2
Design the templates
The home page, a service page, a location page and the enquiry page are designed first, on phone and desktop, and shown to you.
- 3
Build and test
The site is built and checked on real phones and the common browsers. Every form, call button and WhatsApp link is tested end to end.
- 4
Load real content
Actual copy, images and information replace placeholders. Pages are read through once by you, since you spot wrong details we cannot.
- 5
Check before launch
Tracking, page titles, the sitemap and the privacy page are checked on the staging site. If an old site exists, its addresses are mapped so old links still land somewhere.
- 6
Launch and hand over access
The site goes live and we record the domain, hosting, content login and analytics in your name. The first live enquiry is traced to confirm tracking works.
Where this fits
Three pieces of sales work, in this order.
This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.
Step 1
Sales audit
Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.
Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.
Step 2 · you are here
Sales process design
One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.
Start here if every salesperson sells differently.
Step 3
Sales management
A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.
Start here if the team has targets and no routine.
