Wedding photographers · Local SEO

Show up on the map when a family in your town asks for a photographer nearby.

Local SEO for a wedding photographer is the work of making your studio appear on the map for families in your town and the towns around it. GullySales works on the Google Business Profile, the service area and the reviews behind that map result.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For wedding photographers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Families look at the studio before they book”

Unlike a hall, a studio is a place the family may visit to see albums and meet the person who will shoot. A map listing with a clear address, photographs of the office and a working phone number answers the question of whether you exist.

  • “A destination photographer has two maps to think about”

You may live in one city and shoot in another. The family in Udaipur or Goa searches there, while the family at home searches your own town. Set the service area on purpose, so you are not listed where you will not travel.

  • “Reviews on the map are read by the uncle who pays”

Elders look at stars and at what is written. A photographer with a few detailed reviews from named families, with permission, reads as dependable. One with no reviews reads as unknown.

  • “A home studio and a shop front look different on the map”

A photographer who works from a flat may not want the address shown. The profile can hide the address and show a service area, which is acceptable if you set it up properly and keep the details the same everywhere.

What we do

What we deliver for wedding photographers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Business Profile set up and verified

The profile completed with the name, services, service area, hours for visits and a way to message you, then checked against your website and portal listings.

Result: Your name, phone and address match across the profile, site and portals.

  2. Photographs chosen for a family reading

A set of wedding pictures, the studio and the team at work, chosen so an elder can recognise the ritual and the care.

Result: The profile shows weddings, not only portraits.

  3. A review request that fits the delivery

A message sent when the album reaches the family, with the review link ready on WhatsApp.

Result: Each delivered wedding has a review request attached to it.

  4. Replies to every review

A short, courteous reply to each review, using the couple's names only where they have agreed.

Result: Every review on the profile has a reply.

  5. Service area written to match your travel

The towns you cover and the ones you will travel to for a fee, entered on the profile and on your website.

Result: A family outside your area is not misled into expecting you.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

The nearby searches a family runs before they call a studio.

wedding photographer near me
A verified profile with a chosen set of full-wedding photographs, the studio name and a number that someone answers.
best wedding photographers in [town]
The profile's reviews are read here. Reviews naming the function and the venue tell the paying relative more than praise does.
wedding photographer [area] contact
Service area written to match where you really travel, so a family outside it is not led to call.
pre wedding photographers [city]
A profile photograph or post showing a pre-wedding shoot and the locations you use, for the couple searching for that service.
wedding albums [city]
If you print albums, add the service to the profile. Families visit the studio to see an album before they book.

Who it is for

This is written for these wedding photographers.

  • Traditional wedding photographers covering rituals and functions
  • Candid and cinematic wedding photographers
  • Pre-wedding and engagement shoot specialists
  • Destination wedding photographers
  • Community-specific wedding photographers
  • Multi-team wedding photography studios
  • Wedding photographers who also deliver albums and frames
  • Single-photographer boutique wedding teams

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You have no one at the studio to meet families, and a map listing implying a showroom would lead to wasted trips.
  • You have not asked a single couple for a review, and a profile with no reviews gives the family nothing to trust.
  • You work only outside your home city, so a local map listing would bring calls for dates you do not take.

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Write down what is true

Each branch's real address, signboard name, phone, hours and owning Google account go into one record you sign off. Every later listing is copied from it.

  2. 2

    Search as your buyer does

We search each branch on a phone from points around it, in your buyers' words, and note who appears with what reviews and photos.

  3. 3

    Fix the profile first

Ownership first, then name, address, pin, phone, hours and business type. Google can suspend a profile with extra words in its name or an address that is not a real premises.

  4. 4

Build the branch pages and match the listings

Each real branch gets its own page, and the other listings are changed to agree with it. We write none for towns without a branch, because Google treats near-identical pages as doorway pages.

  5. 5

    Ask, reply and measure

We agree with each branch who asks for reviews, when and how. Results are set against the baseline recorded before work began, and the branch that is behind gets the next round.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we show our home address?
That is your decision. If you do not meet families at home, hide the address and list a service area. Keep the name and phone number the same on the website, the portals and the profile.
Can we ask couples to post reviews?
Yes, politely and once, after delivery. Do not offer a gift or discount in return, and check the platform's current rules on asking for reviews.
Does a map listing matter if bookings come from planners?
Yes. A planner's recommendation sends a family to search your name, and the family then looks at the map result. A weak listing undoes a strong introduction.
Should we show our home address?
Not if families do not visit. Set the service area and hide the address, then give the number and the gallery link. A home studio listed as a shop front leads to visitors at the door, which neither side wants. Check the platform's current rules.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
