Water and fire damage restoration companies · Home services

A water loss is won in the first hour and rebuilt over the next six months.

A restoration job starts badly for the customer and fast for you. Water is crossing a hallway at two in the morning, or the fire department has just packed up. Whoever answers, and whoever has a truck moving, does the work.

In one paragraph

Restoration marketing is about being the company a homeowner, a property manager or a plumber calls in the first hour after a pipe bursts. Restoration sales is the harder half: getting the scope agreed, and doing the rebuild as well as the dry-out. GullySales keeps the referral relationships warm and follows every job through to reconstruction.

The mitigation invoice is not where the money is. The rebuild is, and plenty of companies dry the house, pack the contents, then watch a general contractor they have never met put the drywall back. Nobody asked the homeowner for the rebuild.

How buyers decide

How water and fire damage restoration companies are chosen.

In an emergency almost nobody compares companies. A homeowner with water crossing the hallway searches for water damage restoration near them and calls the first result that says a crew is coming. Paid search and the map pack matter more here than anything you write. The search happens once, and the decision takes a minute.

The steadier work is referred. Plumbers, roofers, insurance agents and apartment maintenance leads all get asked who to call. For example, a plumber in Tulsa who finds three burst pipes in a freeze week decides on the spot which restoration company gets all three. Carrier and third-party administrator programmes send work too, on their own terms and their own cycle-time rules.

The rebuild is decided separately, and often by somebody else. The adjuster has to agree the scope. The homeowner has to want you in the house for another three months, and somebody has to ask. Companies that ask while the drying equipment is still running win far more of it than companies that post a letter afterwards.

The problem

What usually goes wrong for water and fire damage restoration companies.

What owners tell us on the first call, in their words.

  • Every job depends on somebody else approving it

The estimate goes to a desk adjuster, the scope comes back short, and the office spends a week on the phone while the homeowner asks us what is happening.

  • We dry the house and lose the rebuild

The equipment comes out, the customer thanks us, and a contractor we have never met takes the reconstruction, which is the part with margin in it.

  • Our marketing rep visits the same five plumbers

The referral list lives in somebody's head, nobody records who sent what, and a relationship that has gone quiet is invisible until the year is over.

  • The phone runs hot after a freeze and stops in April

A cold snap fills the schedule for ten days. Then the crews sit, and there is no plan at all for the flat months.

  • We cannot ask people having the worst week of their lives for a review

Asking a homeowner whose kitchen burned to rate us out of five feels wrong, so nobody asks, and the map listing stays thin.

  • The franchise down the road has a name everyone knows

A homeowner who has heard one restoration brand on the radio for years calls it first, and our name means nothing on a phone screen at midnight.

What we do

What we do for water and fire damage restoration companies.

Everything included for water and fire damage restoration companies, and the result each part is there to produce.

  1. The emergency search covered properly

Paid search and the map pack set up for water, fire and mould searches across the counties your crews reach, with budget weighted to nights, weekends and freeze weeks.

Result: The search at midnight finds a company that is visible.

  2. A referral source list that is written down

Every plumber, agent, property manager and adjuster who has sent you a job, with what they sent, when they last heard from you, and who owns the relationship.

Result: The relationships that went quiet stop being invisible.

  3. A month by month plan for your marketing rep

A route, a reason to call and the material to leave behind, including the lunch session or continuing education class run with a provider approved in your state.

Result: Your rep stops visiting whoever happens to be nearest.

  4. The rebuild asked for while the fans are running

A written step in the job where the customer is asked about reconstruction, with a scope, photographs of a finished rebuild and the paperwork ready to hand over.

Result: More mitigation jobs stay with you through the rebuild.

  5. Job updates a homeowner can follow

Photographs, moisture readings and a plain-language update sent every few days while the claim moves, built from what your crew already records in Encircle or DASH.

Result: The customer knows what is happening without ringing your office.

  6. Reviews asked for at the right end of the job

A request written for somebody who has had a terrible month, sent after the final walkthrough of the rebuild rather than the day the equipment comes out.

Result: A homeowner searching at midnight finds reviews from this year.

  7. Monthly report on where the work came from

Losses by source, mitigation against rebuild conversion, and what each referral partner sent, reported against the baseline recorded before we start.

Result: You can see which relationships actually pay.

How the result is measured

  • Losses by source, emergency against referred
  • Answer rate and time to a crew being dispatched
  • Mitigation jobs converted to reconstruction
  • Referral partners active this month against last
  • Estimates submitted against estimates agreed
  • Reviews earned per completed rebuild

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Worth a page and a campaign of their own

Emergency water extraction and structural drying · Frozen and burst pipe response · Fire and smoke damage cleanup · Mould inspection and remediation · Storm and flood response · Sewage and category three losses · Contents pack-out, cleaning and storage · Reconstruction after mitigation · Commercial and multi-family losses

Priority campaigns

Campaigns for what water and fire damage restoration companies most want to sell.

Each one planned around when your buyers decide, and measured against the baseline.

  • Freeze and storm response campaign

Search budgets, a county page and a message to every property manager on your list, written in advance and switched on when the forecast turns.

Result: The week the pipes burst, you are already in front of them.

  • Plumber and roofer referral campaign

A partner programme for the trades who find the loss first, with a call routine, a leave-behind and a record of every job each one sends.

Result: The people standing in the water know your name.

  • Insurance agent education campaign

Lunch sessions and approved continuing education for agents across your territory, with a follow-up sequence for everyone who attends.

Result: Agents recommend the company whose face they saw last month.

  • Rebuild conversion campaign

A reconstruction offer built into the mitigation job, with photographs of past rebuilds, a scope template and follow-up for houses that dried out months ago.

Result: The reconstruction stops walking out of the door.

  • Property manager and multi-family campaign

Outreach to apartment managers, HOA boards and facility teams offering a priority response agreement and a single contact for every building.

Result: Repeat work from buildings that flood more than once.

Beyond search

Where we reach buyers of water and fire damage restoration companies, beyond Google.

Search matters, but it is rarely the only way this industry's buyers find a supplier.

  • Plumbers, roofers and HVAC companies

We build the partner list, the call routine and the leave-behind, and record which trade sent which job.

  • Insurance agents and independent adjusters

We prepare the introduction and the education session, and keep everything about the claim itself with the carrier and the homeowner's own attorney.

  • Property managers, HOA boards and apartment groups

A priority response agreement and a named contact for the buildings that call you twice a year.

  • Carrier and third-party administrator programmes

We prepare the application material and keep your performance numbers, such as cycle time and photograph compliance, ready for when the programme asks.

  • Realtors and home inspectors

An offer for the agent who finds water in a basement two weeks before closing, and a follow-up routine for the ones who send work.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • Hours that fit your day, agreed up front

Which hours we overlap with yours is settled before any work starts, so you know when a reply is coming and when it is not.

  2. Option 2

    One fix, scoped

Start with the fix the audit ranks first, such as reply time or follow-up. The fee is in writing before anything starts.

  3. Option 3

    A three-to-six-month programme

We run the work month by month, report against the baseline every month, and you renew on the numbers. No twelve-month lock.

  4. Option 4

Guidance for your own team or agency

We plan, brief and check the work of your in-house team or current agency, instead of replacing them.

FAQ

Questions water and fire damage restoration companies ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can you answer our emergency line at night?
No, and be careful of anyone who says yes. We work the overlap hours agreed with you and nothing beyond them. The night line should stay with your own on-call rota or the answering service you already pay for. What we can do is make sure that line is the one ringing when somebody searches at midnight.
Will you help us get estimates approved faster?
Not with the adjuster, no. What is paid sits between the carrier, the homeowner and their own attorney. What we can change is your side of it: documentation that arrives complete, an update to the homeowner every few days, and a written record of every job stuck waiting.
How do we win more rebuilds after the dry-out?
Ask while the equipment is still in the house. The customer trusts you most on day three. A reconstruction scope with photographs of a finished rebuild is far easier to accept then than in a letter six weeks later. It has to be a written step in the job, not something a project manager remembers.
We are a franchise. Does the brand's marketing not cover this?
It covers the name, not the county. National advertising builds recall, and the jobs still go to whoever the plumber called and whoever the property manager has a number for. Those relationships are yours to build, and the brand's lead flow rarely replaces them.
How much does this cost?
There is no price list. After the free audit the scope and fee are put in writing, split three ways: our time, your advertising spend, and production such as partner material or photography. In restoration the partner and rebuild work is mostly time, and the spend goes to the emergency search.
Can we advertise after a disaster?
Carefully, and with your attorney's view on your state's rules. Several states restrict soliciting homeowners after a declared disaster, and the FTC rules on advertising claims apply anyway. We keep campaigns to being findable when somebody searches, rather than knocking doors on a flooded street.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. There are no account managers in between, and the hours we overlap with your day are agreed before anything starts.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
