Cybersecurity companies · Sales enablement

Give the consultant a sample report, not a deck full of padlocks.

Sales enablement for a cybersecurity company is the material your consultants and partners carry into a buyer conversation: the sample report, the scoping sheet, the credentials sheet and the answers to the questions every IT head asks. GullySales writes and organises that material with your technical team, so a salesperson can hold a credible first meeting without the founder.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What sales enablement means

Sales enablement is giving a sales team the tools it needs to sell, such as scripts, brochures, pricing sheets and a working CRM, rather than teaching a skill. GullySales builds and keeps these tools current so a salesperson is never explaining a product from memory alone.

For cybersecurity companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Stock imagery says nothing to a practitioner”

Hooded figures and glowing padlocks tell an IT head the firm sells fear, while one page of a real, redacted finding tells them it does the work.

  • “Credentials go stale without anyone noticing”

A tester leaves, a certificate lapses, an empanelment is renewed with a different scope, and the proposal template still lists the old names.

  • “Partners pitch you with the vendor's slides”

A reseller presenting your SOC service uses the OEM's deck because nobody gave them yours, and the buyer never hears what your team does differently.

What we do

What we deliver for cybersecurity companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A redacted sample report and walkthrough

A report with every client detail removed and the client's permission on file, plus a short script for walking a buyer through one finding.

Result: Consultants show the work instead of describing it.

  2. A credentials sheet kept current

Tester certifications, your firm's ISO certification and empanelments with their scope and validity, each with an owner who updates it when anything changes.

Result: Proposals never claim a credential the firm no longer holds.

  3. An objection sheet for first meetings

Answers to the questions that stall deals: production disruption, data handling, subcontracting, background checks and how findings are kept confidential.

Result: Junior consultants answer without phoning the founder.

  4. A comparison against the usual alternatives

Your service set beside an automated scan, the firewall vendor's free assessment and a large consulting firm, stated fairly and without running anyone down.

Result: Buyers see where you fit without a hard sell.

  5. A partner kit for resellers

A short deck, the scoping questionnaire and a referral process for the system integrators and OEM partners who bring you in.

Result: Partners describe your service the way you would.

  6. Material use tracked to signed work

Which documents were sent in deals that closed and which never left the folder, read against the baseline recorded before work starts.

Result: You keep what helps close and drop the rest.

How the result is measured

  • Tools in active use
  • Time to onboard a new salesperson
  • Consistency of pitch across the team

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What your sales team carries

The material a security consultant or partner needs before a first meeting with an IT head.

Scoping sheet
Applications, IPs, environments, testing windows and the trigger behind the request. The lead consultant owns it and updates it whenever a new service is added.
Redacted sample report
One finding per severity, with evidence, risk rating and the fix, plus the executive summary. A senior tester reviews it whenever the report format changes.
Credentials and empanelment sheet
Each tester's certifications and the firm's ISO certification and empanelments, with validity dates. One named person updates it when a certificate is renewed or lapses.
Comparison against a scan and a large firm
What each option covers, who does the work and what the client receives at the end. Keep it factual and have a senior tester check it before use.
Objection answers for first meetings
Plain answers on production risk, data handling, subcontracting and background checks. The sales lead adds to it after any call where a new question came up.
Proposal template with method
Scope, method, team, deliverables, exclusions and the rules of engagement. The founder signs off any change to the method wording.

Who it is for

This is written for these cybersecurity companies.

  • VAPT and security audit firms, including CERT-In empanelled auditors
  • Managed security service providers running a SOC for clients
  • Governance, risk and compliance consultancies for ISO 27001, SOC 2 and data protection readiness
  • Security product companies selling endpoint, email, identity or data protection tools
  • Value-added resellers and system integrators for firewall and security OEMs
  • Incident response and digital forensics teams
  • OT and industrial control system security specialists for plants and utilities
  • Security awareness and phishing simulation training providers

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You cannot produce a redacted sample report because every client's work is under strict NDA, so the core piece cannot be made yet.
  • The team has no meetings booked, so sheets and kits would be prepared with no buyer to show them to.

How it works

How the sales enablement work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit what exists

We collect the material from managers, reps, shared drives and chat groups, and mark what is current, outdated or duplicated.

  2. 2

    Organise the library

Assets are grouped by stage of the sale and by buyer type, named by one rule and placed where reps already work.

  3. 3

    Fill the gaps

We interview your best reps and managers and build the missing battle cards, answers and guides.

  4. 4

    Build the onboarding pathway

New hires get a clear order of material to cover, linked to your sales stages and the tools they will use.

  5. 5

Assign owners and keep it current

Each asset gets an owner and a review rule, and triggers such as a price change or a new competitor prompt an update.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales management. A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3 · you are here

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Who should write the sales material, marketing or the testers?
Both, in that order. An editor drafts from interviews with your testers, and a senior tester checks every technical line. Sales then reads it for whether it answers what buyers raise on calls.
Can our consultants send material on WhatsApp?
Brochures and the credentials sheet, yes, as PDFs from a shared library. Never send a sample report, a filled scoping sheet or anything from an engagement on WhatsApp. Buyers notice how a security firm handles its own documents.
How do we stop old versions of the deck going out?
Keep one shared folder with a single current version of each document, a date in the file name and an owner listed. Delete older copies from laptops and chat threads, and send a link to the folder rather than an attachment.
How do we train a new salesperson who is not technical?
Have them sit in on scoping calls, learn the sample report finding by finding, and practise the objection sheet with a tester playing the buyer. They should know where their knowledge stops and when to bring in a consultant.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
