IT hardware resellers and system integrators · Lead generation

Find the companies that will need hardware before they ask for three quotes.

Lead generation for an IT hardware reseller means finding the buyers with a refresh, a new office or a failing server, and reaching them before the specification goes out to every supplier. GullySales works on the lists, the sources and the first reply, so the enquiry reaches a salesperson who can quote.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What lead generation means

Lead generation is the combined work of every channel that brings in a new enquiry, whether from search, adverts, referrals or a stall at an exhibition. GullySales runs these channels together and reports the number of enquiries each one produced, not the activity behind it.

For IT hardware resellers and system integrators

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The specification goes to the suppliers the buyer already knows”

An IT manager emails the make and quantity to three or four resellers from memory. A supplier that has never spoken to that manager is not on the list, so the work is to be known before the requirement exists.

  • “Purchase dates are visible in your own invoices”

A laptop bought three years ago reaches the end of its warranty now. Your own billing history holds the next refresh, and a call before the warranty ends reaches a buyer who has not yet asked anyone.

  • “New offices and new branches are bought in one go”

A company opening a branch needs desktops, a switch, Wi-Fi, a printer and a backup together. The firm that hears about the lease first quotes the whole order instead of one line.

  • “Marketplace enquiries are mixed with real company orders”

IndiaMART and similar sites bring single-unit price checks beside company purchases. Without a screening question on quantity and company name, the salesperson spends the day on the first kind.

What we do

What we deliver for IT hardware resellers and system integrators.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A list built from your invoices

Past customers sorted by product, purchase date and warranty end, with the IT contact and the last person who spoke to them.

Result: Next quarter's refresh buyers are named.

  2. A new-branch watch list

Companies in your cities known to be opening offices, taken from your own contacts, property agents and the accountants who see the books.

Result: Branch fit-outs reach you before the quotation round.

  3. A screening script for marketplace enquiries

Three questions on quantity, company and delivery location, asked in the first reply, with the answers recorded.

Result: Single-unit price checks are separated from company orders.

  4. Referral asks to existing IT managers

A short message to each active client asking which peer company is planning a refresh, with a reply route that costs them nothing.

Result: Introductions arrive from people who have used you.

  5. A source report on enquiries

Each quotation request tagged by how it arrived, so orders can be traced to their source.

Result: You can see which source produced orders.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries generated
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries by source

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to capture or send

Record the refresh trigger, the spec and the AMC history with each enquiry.

What triggered the enquiry
A new office, a failed server, an expiring warranty or a tender. The trigger tells the salesperson how soon a decision is due.
Products and quantities
Laptops, switches, a storage box or a full rack, as the buyer states them. It shows whether this is a one-box sale or a project.
Existing brand and AMC status
What the buyer runs today and who services it. It shows what you can quote for and whether an AMC takeover is possible.
Who specifies and who pays
The IT manager, the purchase head or the director. A quote sent to the wrong person waits while the right one is found.
OEM partner status needed
Whether the buyer or tender requires a named brand's authorisation, so the right certificate goes out with the quote.

Who it is for

This is written for these IT hardware resellers and system integrators.

  • Laptop, desktop and workstation resellers for businesses
  • Server, storage and backup resellers
  • Networking, Wi-Fi and firewall integrators
  • Structured cabling and network rollout firms
  • Surveillance, access control and IT combined integrators
  • Printer, copier and managed print dealers
  • Government and public-sector empanelled suppliers
  • AMC and break-fix support providers

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Your quotes take days because the price list is not kept current, so a faster source of enquiries would only meet a slow reply.
  • You hold no authorisation from any OEM yet, so tender and corporate enquiries would ask for a letter you cannot give.
  • You want to buy a list of company contacts and ring them all, when no one has tested whether your callers can hold an IT manager's attention.

How it works

How the lead generation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand your capacity

We ask how many enquiries your team can answer well, who answers after hours, and what a good enquiry looks like. Without this, the system fills a funnel nobody is watching.

  2. 2

    Audit current sources

We read your call log, WhatsApp chats, enquiry sheet and platform dashboards. The baseline is recorded: enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order.

  3. 3

    Strategise the channel mix

Search and maps are chosen for people ready to buy, ads for people who are not yet looking, and content and referrals for trust.

  4. 4

    Implement capture and follow-up

Pages, forms, tags, the lead record and the first-reply message are built and tested end to end. We submit test enquiries ourselves before any media money is spent.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

Enquiries are traced to source and judged by what became orders, not by volume alone. Channels that fill the sheet with poor enquiries are cut back. How often you are reported to is agreed in writing.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Which source brings the best hardware leads?
Your own record answers it. Compare the orders won, not the enquiries received, for referrals, marketplaces, search and existing accounts. A source that fills the inbox with price checks can rank low once the orders are counted.
Should we buy lead lists of companies?
Treat bought lists with care. Check the source, confirm the contact is current and check the rules on unsolicited messages before writing. A list built from your own invoices and introductions is safer and closer to a real purchase.
Is cold calling IT managers worth the effort?
It works when the call is tied to a reason the manager recognises, such as a warranty end or a new branch. A call without that reason is one of the several the manager receives, and gets the same answer as the rest.
Which source brings the best hardware leads?
Existing clients and the IT managers who moved to new firms bring the best. They already know your service. A lead from a refresh date or an expiring AMC is also strong. Record the source on every enquiry and compare after a few months.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
