Residential schools · Education
Show the hostel, the warden and the fee sheet before a parent has to ask.
Anita in Pune has read three boarding school websites since the posting order came through. One question is missing from all three brochures: who is awake in the boys' hostel at two in the morning when a Class 6 child has a fever.
Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

In one paragraph
A residential school is a school where students live on campus in term time. Residential school marketing speaks to parents who are handing over their child's daily life, not only their education. Admissions sales turns an anxious first call into a campus visit, an entrance test and a seat. The hostel decides it. GullySales prepares the hostel pages, the itemised fee sheet and the enquiry record that the admissions desk works from.
Anita sends a WhatsApp message to each school at 10 pm. One replies the next morning with a PDF, another never replies, and the third asks for a call to the admissions office between ten and four.
Parents of boarders do not shop on fees alone. They are judging whether strangers can be trusted with their child on a Tuesday night. Plain answers about food, the warden, the medical room and how a child may phone home are what they look for before they plan a campus visit.

How buyers decide
How residential schools are chosen.
The first shortlist comes from people the family already trusts: a colleague whose son boards, an uncle who studied at a boarding school, an army or transfer-prone family on the same posting list. After that, parents search for boarding schools in a city, state or hill region, read parent forums and comments, and watch campus videos looking for a dormitory, a dining hall and a sick bay rather than a stage and a trophy cabinet.
The decision is slow and made by two people with different worries. One parent asks about academics and the board, the other asks who looks after the child at night, what the food is like and how a homesick ten-year-old is handled. A family decides after a visit where they speak to the warden and a current parent, not only the principal.
Admission is tied to the school year, but boarding enquiries come all year from families who are transferred, from parents who lose confidence in a day school and from NRI relatives asking on a family's behalf. A school that says only that admissions are closed in October gives the transferred family nothing to act on.
The problem
What usually goes wrong for residential schools.
What owners tell us on the first call, in their words.
“Enquiries arrive at night and sit until the office opens”
Parents ask on WhatsApp and the contact form in the evening, and the admissions desk has no saved answers or assigned person for them.
“Parents cannot see what hostel life is like”
The website shows the main building and the sports ground. It does not show the dormitory, the mess, the laundry or the medical room, which is what the decision rests on.
“Outstation families drop out before a visit”
A family two states away will not travel on a vague promise. They need a clear picture of the visit, the test and the fee before they book a ticket.
“Mid-year and transfer enquiries are treated as an inconvenience”
A child who needs a seat in October gets a note that admissions are closed, and the family never returns the next January.
“We do not know which referrals were from our own parents”
Current parents recommend the school at the gate and on the family WhatsApp group, yet nobody records who referred whom, so nobody thanks them.
“The fee conversation turns awkward on the phone”
Tuition, boarding, uniform, laundry, trips and deposits are quoted piece by piece, and the parent adds them up and feels misled.
What we do
What we do for residential schools.
Everything included for residential schools.
A hostel-first section on the website
Photographs and short films of the dormitory, mess, medical room and common areas, with the warden's routine written in plain words, using only children whose parents have given written consent and staff who have given theirs.
A WhatsApp admissions line with a human behind it
Click-to-chat on every page, saved replies for the questions on food, medical care and phone calls home, and a rule for who answers after school hours.
A single, itemised fee sheet
One page that lists tuition, boarding, laundry, transport, trips and deposits for each class, with the refund rules the school follows.
A campus visit pack for outstation families
A plan for the day, the people the family will meet, the test and interview arrangements, and the nearest stations and places to stay.
An admissions record that remembers every family
Every call, message, visit and test result in one list, with the next step and the person responsible, plus notes on who referred the family.
How the result is measured
- Enquiries by source and by class
- Campus visits booked from enquiries
- Entrance test registrations against visits
- Seats confirmed against tests taken
- Referrals from current parents
- Replies sent to evening and weekend messages
Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.
Every service, written for residential schools
Each has its own page: what it involves for residential schools, what you get, and what it is measured on.
- Lead generationBring boarding families to the admissions desk from the cities they already live in.
- SEOAppear when a parent types boarding school and the name of your region.
- Local SEOMake the campus easy to find on a map and easy to phone from the gate.
- Social media marketingShow a boarder's ordinary day without putting any child at risk.
- Content marketingWrite the answers a parent would otherwise have to ask the warden for.
- Buyer personaKnow the two parents who decide, and the child who has to agree.
- CRMKeep one record per family from the first message to the fee receipt.
- Follow-up systemsReply to the parent who messaged at night before another school does.
- WhatsApp marketingMake WhatsApp the line a boarding parent can trust at ten at night.
- Digital marketingPut the school in front of boarding families, then let the hostel do the persuading.
- WebsiteBuild a site where a parent can see the dormitory before booking the ticket.
Worth a page and a campaign of their own
Class 5 to 9 boarding admissions · Mid-year and transfer admissions · Admissions for children of defence and transferred parents · Hostel and house system explained to parents · Entrance test and interview scheduling · Campus visits and parent weekends · NRI and outstation family enquiries · Sibling and alumni-family admissions · Fee structure and deposit clarity
Priority campaigns
Campaigns for what residential schools most want to sell.
Each one planned around when your buyers decide, and measured against the baseline.
Admission season search campaign
Google ads and a landing page for boarding school searches in the cities your families come from, ending in a visit or an online counselling slot.
Parent-to-parent referral drive
A short, polite way for current parents to introduce a friend, with a thank-you note from the principal and a visit slot reserved for the referred family.
Defence and transfer-family outreach
Pages and messages aimed at families posted across stations, covering mid-year seats, document needs and a way to ask before a posting order arrives.
Open day and parent weekend invitations
WhatsApp and email invitations for open days, with a reminder, a map and a named person to meet on arrival.
Beyond search
Where we reach buyers of residential schools, beyond Google.
Search matters, but it is rarely the only way this industry's buyers find a supplier.
Current parents and alumni
A parent whose child boards is the best witness for a new family. A request for introductions is drafted in a school's tone, with the principal's thank-you attached.
Day schools and counsellors in feeder cities
A day-school counsellor in a feeder city is the person a parent asks when a child is struggling in class. A list of such schools and counsellors is made, with an introduction for each.
Defence, corporate and transferred families
Officers' messes, welfare offices and company HR desks pass school names along. Messages are prepared for those groups, based on where your current parents work.
NRI relatives and overseas families
An uncle in Dubai or a grandparent in London may write for the family. A page lists documents, visit options and the time zone in which the office is reachable.
Local search and map listings
A campus on the edge of a town is hard to find on a map. The Google Business Profile carries the gate address, hostel photos and the admissions phone number.

Not for
It is not the right fit if.
- You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
- You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
- You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.
How it works
From your first message to the first report.
No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.
First
Your brief
You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.
After the brief
A conversation and a written scope
We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.
Before work starts
Baseline recorded
The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.
After the baseline
The first fix goes live
The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.
As agreed
Report against the baseline
What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.
At renewal
Renew on the numbers
The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.
How the work runs for residential schools
- 1
Read the night-time enquiries
How enquiries come in, who answers them, what a parent sees on the website and where outstation families stop replying.
- 2
Fix the reply
A written response for each common question, a rule for out-of-hours messages and a record that every family goes into.
- 3
Show the hostel
The photographs, films and written routines are planned to show a boarder's day from wake-up bell to lights out.
- 4
Bring families in
Search, referral and invitation campaigns set against your own admission calendar, each with its own landing page.
- 5
Read the enquiry list together
The enquiry list is read with the admissions head, family by family, to see who visited and who joined.
Why us
Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.
Marketing and sales, as one job
Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.
The person on the first call does the work
No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.
A baseline before anything starts
Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.
The fee in writing, split three ways
Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.
No guarantees we cannot keep
The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.
One office, and we say so
Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

Engagement options
Ways to work with us.

A call after you send your brief. It says honestly whether you need outside help, and many fixes are ones your own team can make.
Option 2
One fix, scoped
Start with the fix that matters most, such as reply time or follow-up. The fee is in writing before anything starts.
Option 3

We run the work, report against the baseline, and you renew on the numbers. The term and the reporting are agreed in writing first.
Option 4
Guidance for your own team or agency
We plan, brief and check the work of your in-house team or current agency, instead of replacing them.
