Insurance advisory firms · Local SEO

Be the advisory firm a family finds when they search near their own locality.

Local SEO for an advisory firm means a complete, accurate Google Business Profile and pages that tie the firm to the areas it serves. GullySales sets up the profile, the location pages and the citations that confirm your address.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

Last updated 18 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For insurance advisory firms

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Some clients still want to meet the adviser once”

A review is built on documents, but a retired parent wants to sit across a table before handing over a file of papers. A visible office, a map pin and a named adviser answer that wish before a call is made.

  • “The profile is read like a licence check”

Careful buyers look at the Google profile the way they look at a regulator's record. An address that differs from the website, a wrong phone line or a category that reads like a seller of policies makes them wonder what else is loose.

  • “Neighbourhood pages beat a single city page”

A family in one part of Bengaluru, Pune or Chennai thinks of the adviser as someone from their area. A page that names the neighbourhoods you serve, and how a review works for people who cannot visit, reads as more real than a general city page.

What we do

What we deliver for insurance advisory firms.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A complete Google Business Profile

Name, address, hours, services, adviser details and photographs of the real office, checked against the website.

Result: The profile and the website give the same facts everywhere.

  2. Area pages for the places you serve

Short pages per locality describing how a review is done there, in person or by video.

Result: A family in each locality finds a page that speaks of their area.

  3. A consistent listing across directories

Your name, address and phone line matched across the directories that buyers actually read.

Result: One version of the firm's details appears wherever it is listed.

  4. A routine for asking clients about reviews

A plain request sent to willing clients, wording approved by your compliance head, with no gift or reward attached.

Result: A steady record of client comments gathered the same way each time.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these insurance advisory firms.

  • Salaried families with several overlapping policies bought from different sellers
  • Founders and business owners needing key person and business protection reviewed

  • Retirees and senior citizens reviewing health cover and what to do before a parent's renewal
  • NRIs holding policies in India and managing them from abroad
  • HNI households with property, vehicle and personal cover spread across insurers
  • Small companies wanting an independent view on group health and fire policies
  • HR teams that want a second opinion on their broker's renewal proposal

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are recorded, and the branches falling behind come first in the next round of work.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Can we ask clients to write a Google review?
You can ask politely, without reward, and only where the rules for your licence allow it. Never write or edit a review on a client's behalf. Advertising rules differ by licence and by regulator, so check each page with your own compliance head or adviser before it goes live.
We work online only. Do we need local SEO?
If you also keep an office or meet clients in person, yes. If the firm is wholly remote, the profile matters less and your national pages carry the load.
Should the profile list products?
List the services, such as policy review and group cover review. Leave out insurer and plan names, which read as selling.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
