Investment advisory firms · Lead generation

Find the investors who want to pay for advice, not the ones who want a tip.

Lead generation for a fee-only advisory firm is the work of reaching investors who already doubt product-led advice and are ready to pay for an independent view. GullySales works on the pages, introductions and talks that bring those enquiries to your practice, with your compliance adviser checking the wording.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What lead generation means

Lead generation is the combined work of every channel that brings in a new enquiry, whether from search, adverts, referrals or a stall at an exhibition. GullySales runs these channels together and reports the number of enquiries each one produced, not the activity behind it.

For investment advisory firms

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The best enquiry arrives with a doubt attached”

An investor who writes in after a mis-sold policy, or after finding a portfolio full of one house's funds, has already decided that a distributor is not enough. That enquiry needs a page that names the doubt. A page that lists services answers a question nobody asked.

  • “A tip-seeker is an enquiry you do not want”

Someone asking which stock to buy this month wants a recommendation, not a process. Pages that describe how you work and what you refuse to do turn that visitor away before a first meeting is wasted on a conversation that cannot end in an agreement.

  • “Three families are not a pipeline”

When introductions come only because a client happened to mention you, the practice grows at the pace of other people's conversations. Lead generation gives each source a name, so you know which one to repeat and which one only felt busy.

  • “Professionals refer after they have checked you”

A chartered accountant or lawyer sends a client only to an adviser whose registration, fee basis and limits can be verified. That introduction is won or lost on the page the professional opens before picking up the phone.

What we do

What we deliver for investment advisory firms.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. An enquiry form for a doubtful investor

A short form that asks what the investor holds today and what prompted the search, instead of asking for a budget or a risk score on the first screen.

Result: Each enquiry arrives with the reason for the search written down.

  2. A page for each group of investors

Separate pages for professionals, business owners with surplus cash, ESOP holders and NRI families, each naming the question that group asks.

Result: An ESOP holder lands on a page about ESOPs, not on a general home page.

  3. Source tags on every route

Tags on pages, talk registrations and referral notes, so each enquiry carries the place it came from.

Result: You can read which source brought each of your recent enquiries.

  4. A screening note for the first call

A short script that says what you advise on and what you do not, so a tip-seeker steps out politely before a meeting is booked.

Result: First meetings are held with investors who have understood the fee.

  5. Compliance-checked ad and post wording

Search ad and post copy kept to process and fee, with no returns and no claims, passed to your compliance adviser before it runs.

Result: Each ad has your adviser's sign-off on file.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries generated
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries by source

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the lead generation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand your capacity

We agree how many enquiries your sales team can actually handle well, so the system is not built to overwhelm it.

  2. 2

    Audit current sources

We check what already brings in enquiries today, even informally, before adding anything new.

  3. 3

    Strategise the channel mix

Content, search and paid channels are chosen based on where your buyers already look.

  4. 4

    Implement capture and follow-up

Pages, forms and a follow-up process are built and connected end to end.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiry volume and quality and adjust the channel mix to match.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Can a registered adviser run ads for advisory services?
Advertising rules for registered advisers are specific, and each platform adds its own. Check the platform's current rules and your compliance adviser's view before an ad runs. We keep ad wording to process and fee and leave out returns, guarantees and client praise.
Which source should a small practice work on first?
The one that already brought your best clients. Trace each current client back to a talk, an introduction or a search, then repeat the source behind the clients who stayed and understood the fee.
Is a lead the same as an enquiry?
No. A lead is a name with a source attached. An enquiry is a person who asked to talk. Track both, because a talk can produce a long list of names and a short list of enquiries, and the gap shows what your follow-up must fix.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
