Painting contractors · WhatsApp marketing
Send the quote and the photographs where the homeowner will read them.
For a painting contractor, WhatsApp is the business. The enquiry arrives there, the site photographs go there, and the quote is read there long before anybody opens an email. GullySales sets up the business account, the way quotes and photographs are sent, and what goes out before the season.
Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means
WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For painting contractors
Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.
“A voice note is not a quote”
A rate rattled off in a voice message cannot be set beside the written quote the next contractor sent. Send a readable document with the area, the product and the coats against each surface.
“Before and after photographs travel further here than anywhere else”
One good pair of photographs sent to a homeowner ends up in the building group by evening. That is how painting work moves in an apartment complex, and a dark, crooked photograph wastes the chance.
“The society group is not yours to broadcast in”
Posting an offer into a residents group you were added to for one job gets you removed and remembered. Give the secretary something worth sharing and let them share it.
What we do
What we deliver for painting contractors.
Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.
A business account with a catalogue of finishes
Interior emulsion, exterior, texture, wood polish and waterproofing listed as catalogue items with what each one covers.
Result: A homeowner sees what you do without making a call.
A quote sent as a readable document
An itemised quote as a file, with the measured area, the brand, the product line and the number of coats written against each surface.
Result: Your quote can be compared line by line and holds up.
A photograph standard for the crew
When and how to take the before and after shots, including taking both from the same spot with the light behind you.
Result: The photographs that go out are worth forwarding.
Saved replies for the questions asked first
What it costs per square foot, how many days the crew will be in the house, and whether furniture has to be moved.
Result: The first questions get answered while the homeowner is still typing.
A seasonal list with consent recorded
Past customers and old enquiries who agreed to hear from you, contacted before the season with something worth reading.
Result: The pre-festival message goes only to people who wanted it.
A business number separate from the supervisor's
One number that owns enquiries and quotes, kept off any individual's personal phone.
Result: Enquiries stay with the business when a supervisor leaves.
How the result is measured
- Messages delivered
- Reply rate
- Enquiries from WhatsApp
Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.
What must be in place first
What a painting contractor sets up before quotes and photographs start moving on WhatsApp.
- A business number apart from the supervisor
- Register WhatsApp Business on the firm's own number and put it on the van, the visiting card and the quotation. When a supervisor leaves, the customer's chat history and the site photographs stay with you.
- Opt-in from the signed quotation
- Add a line to the quotation: 'Send job updates and repaint reminders on WhatsApp'. Only those who sign get seasonal messages. A number from a society group is not an opt-in.
- Catalogue of finishes and services
- List interior emulsion, exterior weatherproof, texture, waterproofing and wood polish, each with a sample photograph and the surface it suits. Do not show a rate; the price depends on measurement and surface condition.
- Templates for visit and quote
- A site visit confirmation or a quote you start yourself needs an approved template. A reply inside an open chat does not. Check WhatsApp's current business policy and pricing before you plan season volumes.
- Photograph rules for the crew
- Ask for the same four angles per room, taken before work and after, with the customer's permission for anything you reuse. Remove photographs showing family members, documents or nameplates before posting.
- Opt-out and a person on the other end
- End each list message with a reply word to stop. Name who answers and when, so a customer asking about a wall seepage in the monsoon reaches someone, not a menu.

Not for
It is not the right fit if.
- Customers phone and never message, and you have no one to read a chat.
- You plan to broadcast into society groups you do not belong to, which breaks the groups' rules and harms your name.
How it works
How the whatsapp marketing work runs
The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.
- 1
Read the chats you already have
We read how customers write to you, which questions repeat and where a chat goes quiet. The repeated questions decide what gets automated first.
- 2
Sort the list and the permission
Contacts who asked to hear from you are separated from numbers that only sit in a phone book. We agree the wording new contacts will see before they say yes.
- 3
Choose the app or the API
One phone and a small team can stay on the ordinary app. Several people on one number, templates or a CRM link need the API through a provider, which is its own piece of setup work.
- 4
Write the replies and the plan
The greeting, away message, saved replies and handover rule are written in your words and approved by you. The message plan and its templates follow.
- 5
Connect the record and test
Each link carries its source line and each chat lands in the CRM. We test on real phones, including a customer who asks for a person.
- 6
Read the unanswered questions
A question the first reply could not answer becomes a new saved reply or a fixed handover. Stop requests are watched too, with the number's quality rating where the API is used, since both show a message plan that has gone too far.
Where this fits
Three pieces of sales work, in this order.
This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.
Step 1
Sales audit
Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.
Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.
Step 2 · you are here
Sales process design
One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.
Start here if every salesperson sells differently.
Step 3
Sales management
A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.
Start here if the team has targets and no routine.
