Banquet halls and event venues · Social media

Show the hall dressed for a function, not standing empty on a Tuesday.

Social media for a venue means the decorators, planners and families who scroll before they shortlist can see what a function actually looks like in your hall. GullySales plans the posts around real bookings, settles the consent with the host, and turns comments and messages into date enquiries.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What social media means

Social media is the ongoing posting your business does on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn to stay visible to customers and prospects between purchases. GullySales plans a posting calendar, writes captions and designs the images so the page looks active and answers what a visitor would ask.

For banquet halls and event venues

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Planners scout venues on Instagram before they ring”

A wedding planner hunting a new hall for a client scrolls venue tags and decorator posts. Being tagged by the decorator who worked your hall reaches them without you spending anything.

  • “Consent is asked before the function, not after”

A wedding is a private family occasion and some families want nothing posted. Settle it in the booking terms and you never have to take a reel down.

  • “The comment asking your rate is a lead”

Somebody asking the price under a reel has a date in mind. Move it to WhatsApp, send the rate sheet, and log it against that date like any other enquiry.

What we do

What we deliver for banquet halls and event venues.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A posting plan tied to the booking calendar

Content pulled from functions already held, scheduled through the weeks when families fix dates and companies plan their annual days.

Result: The feed is busy when buyers are looking.

  2. Consent settled in the booking terms

A line in the booking form covering photographs and video, with a simple way for the host to say which events may be shared.

Result: Nothing goes up that the family did not agree to.

  3. Decorator and photographer tagging

A routine of crediting and being credited by the decorators, caterers and studios who worked each function, agreed with them in advance.

Result: Your hall appears in feeds you do not own.

  4. Reels showing the hall in use

Short films of a dressed stage, a dining hall in service and a corporate setup, cut from footage the studios at your functions already hold.

Result: A family sees the hall the way it will look for them.

  5. Comments and messages handled as enquiries

Rate questions moved to WhatsApp within the hour, logged against the date asked for, and followed up like any other enquiry.

Result: Social traffic reaches the enquiry register.

How the result is measured

  • Posts published
  • Engagement rate
  • Enquiries from social profiles

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Platform for this buyer

Where a family or a company checks a hall, and what to post for each.

Instagram reels of the hall in use
Show a dressed stage, a dining hall in service and the entrance on a function day, with capacity and parking in the caption. The action is to message the date and the guest count.
YouTube, for the empty-hall walkthrough
Film the hall without a function in it: stage, green rooms, parking, kitchen access and washrooms, with the manager talking. Elders watch this before the visit. The action is to book a site visit.
WhatsApp status and broadcast
Post weekday dates and dates in the quieter season that are still open, to past hosts and planners who agreed to hear from you. The action wanted is a reply with a date.
Google Business Profile posts
Add photographs of each hall, the rooms and the parking, and answer the questions on the profile. The action is a call to ask whether a date is free.
LinkedIn, for annual days and conferences
Show a conference setup, theatre seating or a stage for an annual day. The action wanted is a request for a quote for a date from the person who books the event.
What not to post
A family's function without consent, guests' faces, a date shown as open that you have promised to a family, or a plate rate that has changed. Remove a post for a date once it is taken.

Who it is for

This is written for these banquet halls and event venues.

  • Marriage halls and kalyana mandapams
  • Banquet halls with in-house catering
  • Party halls for birthdays and small functions
  • Convention centres and large event venues
  • Lawns and open-air wedding venues
  • Resort and farmhouse venues for weddings and offsites
  • Hotel banquet and conference spaces
  • Community halls and trust-run halls
  • Meeting rooms and training halls for rent

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You do not ask families for consent before a function, so posts of real events would have to wait or go without permission
  • No one is free on weekends to answer a comment asking the rate, which is the best lead a post brings
  • Your hall has no dressed-up photographs and the only pictures are of empty rooms, which do not draw anyone

How it works

How the social media work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Confirm audience, platforms and access

We note which platforms your buyers use and check that the pages sit under your own business accounts, with you as owner and us as added roles.

  2. 2

    Review the current presence

We read the existing pages, the posts that drew replies and the gaps in posting.

  3. 3

    Build the calendar

Themes, formats and dates are set out for your approval, with space for offers and news.

  4. 4

    Create, approve and publish

Posts are made, approved by you and scheduled. Replies to the public are handled in your voice.

  5. 5

    Record enquiries and adjust

Enquiries are logged against the post or platform where they began, and the mix changes to follow what brings them.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Which platform matters for a hall?
Instagram for weddings and family functions, because that is where decor gets compared. LinkedIn does nothing for a mandapam but reaches the admin and HR people who book annual days. Pick the one that sells the dates you have sitting empty.
Should we post during the off-season?
Yes, and that is when the better posts get made. Use footage from the season just finished, and show the weekday packages and corporate layouts you want booked. Families fixing next season's dates are watching before they call.
A guest posted a video from a function in our hall. Can we reshare it?
Ask the host, not only the guest who filmed it. The function belongs to the family, and other guests are in the frame. Share only if the host agrees, and give the guest credit. If you cannot reach the host, leave it.
We have two halls under one name. One account or two?
One account, unless each hall has a different buyer and its own person answering. A family looking at the large hall does not want the small hall's posts in the same grid. Use highlights for each hall and tag the hall in the caption.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
