Chemical traders · Lead generation
Fill the enquiry list with factories that consume what your godown holds.
Lead generation for a chemical trader means bringing in purchase officers and factory owners who use your chemicals and will order them again. It is narrower than collecting every enquiry that mentions a chemical name. GullySales works on the product pages, marketplace replies and cluster lists that bring those buyers to you.
Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What lead generation means
Lead generation is the combined work of every channel that brings in a new enquiry, whether from search, adverts, referrals or a stall at an exhibition. GullySales runs these channels together and reports the number of enquiries each one produced, not the activity behind it.

For chemical traders
Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.
“A single-drum enquiry is not a consuming plant”
A caller who wants one drum at a spot rate is a different lead from a processing unit that uses the chemical every cycle. Marking which is which during the first call tells the owner where the next hour of follow-up should go, and which enquiry can wait.
“Marketplace leads arrive for chemicals you do not hold”
IndiaMART buyers search by name, and a listing that names a long run of products draws enquiries for grades the godown never stocks. A reply that states plainly what is in stock, in which pack, saves the person on duty for buyers who can order today.
“The cluster list reaches buyers before they search”
Tanneries, dye houses, paint plants and foundries sit in known industrial areas within a delivery run of the godown. A written list of those units, with the chemical each one uses, reaches a purchase officer who has not yet typed your product name into a search box.
“A producer's introduction is a lead of another kind”
A producer's regional sales head receives requests from buyers too small for its own dispatch. Being on that list for your cities brings enquiries that arrive already naming the grade and the quantity, and they need only a rate and a vehicle.
What we do
What we deliver for chemical traders.
Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.
Four qualifying questions for the person on duty
A short script asking for the chemical and grade, the quantity per order, how often the plant buys and the delivery city, written so any counter staff can use it.
Result: Each logged enquiry shows whether the buyer consumes regularly or buys once.
Stock-led chemical pages
One page for each chemical you hold, showing grade, pack sizes, the cities you supply and a button to ring or message for the rate.
Result: A buyer reading a page knows the grade and pack before picking up the phone.
A cluster target list
The factories in your delivery range, grouped by industry, each with a named contact where one is known and the chemical that unit is likely to use.
Result: Every unit on the list carries a contact name and the chemical it uses.
Marketplace listing clean-up
Listings rewritten so each one names a single chemical with its grade, pack and city, in place of a long run of products.
Result: Open any listing and see one chemical, its grade and the city.
A source tag on every enquiry
A field in the enquiry sheet recording whether the buyer came from a marketplace, the website, a producer or a referral.
Result: The owner can count orders by the place the enquiry began.
How the result is measured
- Enquiries generated
- Cost per enquiry
- Enquiries by source
Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.
What to capture or send
What the person on duty records when a factory asks about a drum.
- Chemical, grade and pack asked for
- Write the name the buyer used, the grade and the drum or bag size. A caller who cannot name the grade is still researching, and the record shows it.
- What the plant makes with it
- A paint unit, a tannery and a boiler room need different grades of the same salt or solvent. The answer decides which of your stocks to offer.
- Consumption each cycle
- Ask how much the plant uses between orders. It separates a one-drum trial from a standing buyer and sets the credit conversation.
- Who places the order and who approves
- Record the purchase officer and the person who signs off the grade. The quote goes to both, or it stalls with the one who cannot say yes.
- Source of the enquiry
- Tag marketplace, call, website or producer introduction on the record. Over a season it shows which source brought plants that actually reordered.
Who it is for
This is written for these chemical traders.
- Traders in industrial solvents and thinners for paint and coating units
- Acid and alkali traders supplying textile processors, tanneries and metal finishers
- Dye and pigment traders serving processing houses and printing units
- Water treatment and boiler chemical suppliers to hotels, hospitals and factories
- Food-grade and pharma-grade chemical traders working with batch records
- Polymer, resin and plastic raw material dealers
- Laboratory and analytical chemical suppliers to colleges and testing labs
- Importers who sell by the drum from port-side or bonded storage
Not for
It is not the right fit if.
- Your godown holds only a few of the chemicals asked for, so more enquiries would mostly be for stock you cannot supply.
- No one is on the phone during godown hours, so a new lead would meet the same unanswered ring as today's.
- You have not decided which buyers you will extend credit to, so a quote would go out with no terms behind it.
How it works
How the lead generation work runs
The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.
- 1
Understand your capacity
We ask how many enquiries your team can answer well, who answers after hours, and what a good enquiry looks like. Without this, the system fills a funnel nobody is watching.
- 2
Audit current sources
We read your call log, WhatsApp chats, enquiry sheet and platform dashboards. The baseline is recorded: enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order.
- 3
Strategise the channel mix
Search and maps are chosen for people ready to buy, ads for people who are not yet looking, and content and referrals for trust.
- 4
Implement capture and follow-up
Pages, forms, tags, the lead record and the first-reply message are built and tested end to end. We submit test enquiries ourselves before any media money is spent.
- 5
Measure and optimise
Enquiries are traced to source and judged by what became orders, not by volume alone. Channels that fill the sheet with poor enquiries are cut back. How often you are reported to is agreed in writing.
Where this fits
Three pieces of sales work, in this order.
This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.
Step 1
Sales audit
Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.
Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.
Step 2 · you are here
Sales process design
One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.
Start here if every salesperson sells differently.
Step 3
Sales management
A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.
Start here if the team has targets and no routine.
