Pharmaceutical distributors · Local SEO

Show up on the map when a chemist or clinic nearby looks for a stockist.

Local SEO for a pharmaceutical distributor puts your godown and delivery area on the map for trade buyers who search by place. GullySales works on the business profile, the area pages and the citations that agree with each other.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Pharmaceutical distributors: show a real physical business scene illustrating Batch and expiry stock. Hold stock by item, batch, expiry and warehouse, and offer the earliest-dated batch first at billing unless the counter deliberately picks another one.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For pharmaceutical distributors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The profile is read by a trade buyer, not a patient”

A Google profile for a stockist should say plainly that supply is to chemists, hospitals and clinics. Photos of a godown, a vehicle and a cold room mean more to a purchase officer than a shopfront picture, and a wrong listing type invites patient calls nobody wants.

  • “Delivery area is the real selling point”

A chemist is searching for who can reach the shop that day. A profile that names only the city hides the lanes and towns you actually cover, while a service-area list that is too wide promises supply you cannot give.

  • “Different phone numbers on different listings”

Directory entries written years ago carry an old number, a former godown address or a closed branch. A buyer who rings the wrong number reaches nobody and moves to the next result on the map.

What we do

What we deliver for pharmaceutical distributors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Business profile setup and tidy-up

Name, address, hours, categories, service area and photos, entered as the owner confirms them.

Result: The profile matches the business as it runs today.

  2. A service-area and route list

Areas you deliver to, matched to your real routes and cut-off times for orders.

Result: A chemist can tell whether the shop is covered.

  3. Citation clean-up

Trade directories and listings brought into line on name, address and number.

Result: Every listing carries the same details.

  4. Photo set for the trade

Godown, loading bay, cold room and vehicles, taken by your staff with a brief we supply.

Result: A purchase officer sees the facilities before visiting.

  5. Enquiry call tracking

A way to note which calls came from the map listing.

Result: The owner can count calls that began from the profile.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

What a nearby chemist or clinic types when it needs a new stockist.

medicine wholesaler near me
A profile that states the trade nature, delivery areas and a phone line that the order desk answers.
pharma stockist [locality] contact number
A service-area listing for each town you supply, with the same number used across listings.
medicine distributor open sunday
Hours that match when orders are taken and when delivery runs, so a chemist knows when to call.
cold storage medicine supplier
A listing description with the storage facts you can show, stated plainly and checked against the real facility.
hospital medicine supply in [city]
A listing that names institutional supply as a service, so a purchase officer finds the right contact.

Who it is for

This is written for these pharmaceutical distributors.

  • General pharma stockists supplying chemists across a city
  • Company-appointed C&F and redistribution stockists
  • Hospital and institutional medicine suppliers
  • Cold-chain stockists for vaccines, insulin and biologics
  • Ayurveda and herbal medicine distributors
  • Surgical and OTC range distributors serving chemists
  • Generic medicine suppliers to retail and institutional buyers
  • Veterinary medicine distributors serving animal clinics

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Your godown is in a place visitors cannot reach, and the listing's address type needs checking first.
  • Different phone numbers appear on the listing, the invoices and the website, and need to agree.
  • You want patients to find a counter, though you supply trade buyers and do not sell to the public.

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Write down what is true

Each branch's real address, signboard name, phone, hours and owning Google account go into one record you sign off. Every later listing is copied from it.

  2. 2

    Search as your buyer does

We search each branch on a phone from points around it, in your buyers' words, and note who appears with what reviews and photos.

  3. 3

    Fix the profile first

Ownership first, then name, address, pin, phone, hours and business type. Google can suspend a profile with extra words in its name or an address that is not a real premises.

  4. 4

Build the branch pages and match the listings

Each real branch gets its own page, and the other listings are changed to agree with it. We write none for towns without a branch, because Google treats near-identical pages as doorway pages.

  5. 5

    Ask, reply and measure

We agree with each branch who asks for reviews, when and how. Results are set against the baseline recorded before work began, and the branch that is behind gets the next round.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do we need a shopfront for a map listing?
No. A listing can serve a business that delivers, if the rules of the platform allow it, so check the platform's current rules. The address you show should be one the owner is comfortable giving to visitors.
Should we invite chemists to leave reviews?
Reviews are the buyer's own words, so ask only if the chemist is happy to give them, offer nothing in return and reply politely to every one. Regulated trades have additional advertising rules, so check with your adviser.
Will local SEO bring patients to us?
It brings some wrong calls, which is why the profile states that supply is to the trade. Staff should have one short, kind reply that points the caller to their own chemist.
Should the profile show opening hours for orders or for the godown?
Show the hours when the order desk answers, and state delivery rounds in the description. A chemist calls to place an order, not to visit. Separate visiting hours only if trade buyers are allowed to collect stock.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Your next practical step

Tell us what you are trying to grow, and we will read it before we call.

Eight short steps, mostly taps. Skip anything you would rather answer on the call.
