Trucking companies · Search engine optimisation

Be the fleet a shipper finds when searching for a truck on a route.

SEO for a trucking company is the work of making the pages a shipper lands on name your vehicle types, routes and base. GullySales works on route pages, vehicle pages and the search terms a logistics desk really types.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For trucking companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Shippers search by vehicle and route, not by company name”

A purchase officer types a container trailer from the port to an inland depot, or a tanker for edible oil in a given state. A page that carries those words, and nothing vague about logistics solutions, meets that search.

  • “A directory entry is a page you do not control”

Load boards and directories rank for your trade and list your fleet beside every other one. A page on your own site, with your own truck photographs, is the only listing where the shipper reads about one fleet.

  • “The same vehicle has several names”

Tipper, dumper, tanker, bulker, trailer and carrier mean different things in different regions. List the names that shippers on your lanes really use and place each one on the page where it belongs. Without that list, a page can rank for a word that no shipper on the lane would type.

  • “Papers on a page settle a doubt”

A shipper checking a new vendor looks for registration, insurance and permits. A page that says which papers the fleet holds, without publishing the papers themselves, removes one reason to look elsewhere. A visitor who cannot tell whether the fleet is registered and insured moves on to the next listing.

What we do

What we deliver for trucking companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Route pages with vehicle names

One page for each lane you run, naming the loading and unloading towns, the goods carried and the vehicle that runs it.

Result: Each lane has a page that a shipper can reach by searching the route.

  2. Vehicle-type pages

A page for each vehicle type with body, capacity, goods it suits and the routes it runs, using the words shippers use.

Result: A shipper searching for a vehicle type reads what you run and what it carries.

  3. Search term list by region

A sheet of the names for each vehicle and goods type in the states and towns you serve, taken from enquiries and from search suggestions.

Result: Every page is written against a term that a shipper on that lane has typed.

  4. Site clean-up for phones

Page titles, headings, image sizes and phone buttons set right so each page reads well on a mobile on a weak connection.

Result: Each page has its own title and opens on a phone without a long wait.

  5. Truck photograph set

Real photographs of your vehicles with plain captions and descriptions, replacing stock images.

Result: The images on every page show vehicles you own.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

The searches a shipper types when a truck is needed.

tipper truck on hire in Hosur
A vehicle-and-place page naming the tipper capacities you run, the materials carried and the area around the yard, with a phone link.
tanker transport for edible oil
A tanker page that says what the tank is made of, how it is cleaned between loads and which papers you hold, without claims about others.
Chennai to Bengaluru truck booking
A route page with the loading points, the vehicles on the lane and what a first booking needs from the shipper.
container trailer for port haulage
A page for trailer operators listing the port and terminal pickups you serve and the documents the driver carries.
cement carrier bulker contract
A page for plants and dealers describing bulk carriers, the unloading arrangement and how a contract lane is started.

Who it is for

This is written for these trucking companies.

  • Owner-operators with one to five trucks
  • Fleet owners with ten to fifty trucks on contract and market loads
  • Tipper and construction material truck operators
  • Tanker operators for fuel, chemicals, milk and edible oil
  • Trailer and container haulage operators near ports and rail terminals
  • Car carrier and vehicle transporters
  • Bulk cement and fly ash carriers
  • Truck operators attached to a single plant or a mine

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Your trucks are run entirely through brokers and you do not talk to shippers.
  • The papers you would show, such as permits and insurance, are not current.
  • No one can update the page when a truck is sold or added.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At an interval agreed in writing we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Do we need a website to appear in search?
A Google listing and a load board profile get you started, but they sit beside every competitor. A site of your own lets one page carry your lanes, vehicles and papers. GullySales builds the pages and checks what the results show; rankings are not promised.
Which should we write first, route pages or vehicle pages?
Begin with the route that earns best per trip on your trip sheets and the vehicle type that stands idle longest. Add the others as the first pages are read. The order comes from your own records, not from a rule.
Does SEO replace load boards?
No. A load board brings a ready enquiry, while search brings a shipper who found you alone. Keep both and write the source on the enquiry sheet, so you can see which brings loads that repeat.
Why do the vehicle names on the page matter?
Shippers search the name they use, and the same truck has several: tipper, dumper or hywa. A page with one name misses the others. Writing the common names in plain text on the vehicle page lets the shipper who types a different word still find you.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Your next practical step
