Industrial suppliers and distributors · Local SEO
Counter hours and a gate number decide the same-day order.
Local search for a distributor is the map result a technician opens when a line is down and the part is needed today. GullySales sets up a listing for each branch carrying counter hours, the brands held and the delivery radius, and moves the pin to the gate rather than the highway.
Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means
Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For industrial suppliers and distributors
Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.
“A branch in an industrial park is hard to find on purpose”
The pin drops on the road, the gate is round the back, and a driver with a hot part loses fifteen minutes the plant did not have.
“Will-call hours are the first thing a technician checks”
The buyer is deciding whether to drive over now, and a listing saying five when the counter shuts at four thirty earns a bad review.
“Your delivery radius is a local search question”
A plant forty miles out wants to know whether a truck runs that way, and no page on your site answers it.
What we do
What we deliver for industrial suppliers and distributors.
Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.
A listing for every branch, counter hours included
Each location claimed and completed with will-call hours, the after-hours number if you run one, and the day a truck goes to each area.
Result: A technician knows whether it is worth driving over.
The pin moved to the gate and the dock
Map position corrected to the entrance a delivery vehicle actually uses, with directions naming the park, the gate and the building.
Result: Drivers stop ringing for directions.
Brands and categories loaded as products
The authorised lines and the categories you stock added as products on each listing, instead of a description reading industrial supplies.
Result: A brand search near your branch finds the right location.
Photographs of the window, racking and yard
Pictures of the will-call counter, the shelves, the hose shop and the delivery trucks, replacing the logo most distributor listings still carry.
Result: A first-time buyer can see you hold stock.
Branch pages naming the parks and plants served
A page per location describing the industrial areas it covers, what it stocks for them and how quickly a truck reaches each.
Result: The search for a supplier in that area has something to find.
Calls, direction requests and counter traffic reported
Figures for calls, direction requests and website taps by branch, read against what each listing produced before it was touched.
Result: You can tell which branch the listing is working for.
How the result is measured
- Map pack ranking
- Local search visibility
- Enquiries by locality
Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.
What Google weighs here
How a purchase officer finds a supplier counter nearby, and what to fix first.
- Supplier category by product line
- A bearing counter, a hydraulic hose shop and a safety supplier use different categories. Choose the one a technician would type when the machine stops.
- Brand lines you hold
- List the brands you stock, such as SKF, Gates or Polycab, only if you hold a distribution or dealer arrangement. A technician searching a brand wants to know you carry it.
- Counter hours against sales desk
- A machine breakdown is a counter call at the start of a shift. Put counter hours first, and the outside sales desk number second.
- Product photographs, not the catalogue
- Show racking, the hose crimping shop and the counter. A full catalogue cannot go on a profile, so photograph the lines you sell most.
- Gate and loading dock
- Say which gate a delivery van or a customer's driver should use. A driver circling an industrial estate costs the customer an hour.
- Justdial and IndiaMART
- Maintenance buyers check both for local stock. Keep name, branch address and counter number identical to the profile.
Who it is for
This is written for these industrial suppliers and distributors.
- MRO and general industrial supply houses
- Bearing, power transmission and motion distributors
- Hydraulic and pneumatic distributors with a fabrication shop
- Electrical and automation distributors
- Fastener, abrasive and cutting tool suppliers
- Safety and PPE distributors
- Pipe, valve and fitting suppliers
- Process equipment and pump distributors with service work
- Single-branch independents inside a buying group
Not for
It is not the right fit if.
- You have a registered office with no counter or walk-in trade, so a map listing would send people to a locked gate.
- Your branch address and hours differ across directories and nobody can say which is right, so settle that first.
- Your market is plants in several states served by dispatch alone, so a local pin would answer a question your buyers do not ask.
How it works
How the local SEO work runs
The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.
- 1
Write down what is true
Each branch's real address, signboard name, phone, hours and owning Google account go into one record you sign off. Every later listing is copied from it.
- 2
Search as your buyer does
We search each branch on a phone from points around it, in your buyers' words, and note who appears with what reviews and photos.
- 3
Fix the profile first
Ownership first, then name, address, pin, phone, hours and business type. Google can suspend a profile with extra words in its name or an address that is not a real premises.
- 4
Build the branch pages and match the listings
Each real branch gets its own page, and the other listings are changed to agree with it. We write none for towns without a branch, because Google treats near-identical pages as doorway pages.
- 5
Ask, reply and measure
We agree with each branch who asks for reviews, when and how. Results are set against the baseline recorded before work began, and the branch that is behind gets the next round.
Where this fits
Three pieces of sales work, in this order.
This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.
Step 1
Sales audit
Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.
Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.
Step 2 · you are here
Sales process design
One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.
Start here if every salesperson sells differently.
Step 3
Sales management
A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.
Start here if the team has targets and no routine.
