Laboratory and scientific equipment suppliers · Reputation management

A dead instrument in the corner of a teaching lab is remembered at every purchase.

Reputation for a laboratory supplier is settled by service, because a professor with a broken oven tells the next department before you ever hear about it. GullySales puts your service record where buyers can see it, arranges reference calls with labs who rate you, and drafts the reply when a complaint reaches a public listing.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What reputation management means

Reputation management is watching what is said about your business across Google, social media and review sites, and responding to it before it changes a buyer's mind. GullySales monitors mentions, drafts responses to negative reviews and flags recurring complaints back to your team.

For laboratory and scientific equipment suppliers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Your reputation travels between departments, not on review sites”

A lab in-charge rings a colleague in another college before signing. That phone call is your rating, and nobody shows it to you.

  • “Response time is what people remember”

Nobody recalls your rate two years later. They recall that the engineer came in two days, or that it took three weeks.

  • “A delayed March delivery goes into the institution's file”

A supply that missed the funding deadline is written down by the store, and it is read the next time your quotation reaches that committee.

What we do

What we deliver for laboratory and scientific equipment suppliers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Service calls logged with the time taken to close

Every breakdown call recorded with the date it came in, the date it was attended and the date the instrument ran again, by institution and instrument.

Result: You can show a service record instead of claiming one.

  2. A reference list of labs who will take a call

Named lab in-charges and quality heads who have agreed to speak for you, sorted by instrument, so the right reference goes with the right enquiry.

Result: The call a buyer makes before deciding reaches somebody who rates you.

  3. Installation and calibration handovers closed as a file

Each installation finished with the certificate, the traceability papers and a signed handover the lab can put in front of its own assessor. Accreditation remains theirs to hold.

Result: An assessment visit does not become a complaint about you.

  4. A drafted reply for a public complaint

A short, factual response ready for a marketplace or Maps review about a delivery or a service visit, stating what happened and what was done about it.

Result: Nobody is writing a reply to an angry review at eleven at night.

  5. Alerts on your firm's name and your principals' brands

Watches on your name, your listings and the brands you are authorised for, so a public complaint reaches you before it reaches a buyer.

Result: You hear about it first.

How the result is measured

  • Average rating
  • Response time to reviews
  • Negative mentions resolved

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to do with each review

How to reply to lab buyers, from praise to a rejected instrument or a late reagent.

Praise for an instrument install
Thank the lab and name the instrument and the department. Ask the head if a short line may go on a reference list. Government and college labs often need written permission first.
Delay in glassware or reagent delivery
Quote the order number, say what stage it sits at and who is chasing it. Check the batch and expiry dates before dispatch, because a fresh delay about a short-dated reagent is worse than a late one.
Instrument arrived damaged or faulty
Ask for photographs and the packing list, then offer replacement or a visit. Tell the buyer the transit insurance and the principal's warranty route in your reply, in one sentence each.
Calibration certificate dispute
Reply that the certificate is traceable to the standard used, and offer to send the certificate and the reference instrument details. Check the certificate against the unit's serial number before you write.
Review from a college about payment or tender terms
Reply that you follow the purchase order and the college's terms. Keep it factual and polite. Check your own files for the PO date and the delivery receipt before you answer.
Review that looks fake or from a rival dealer
Match the name against your quotation and dispatch records. If nothing matches, report it through the platform's own process and reply once, stating you cannot find the order.

Who it is for

This is written for these laboratory and scientific equipment suppliers.

  • Laboratory instrument dealers and distributors
  • Authorised importers of foreign scientific instruments
  • Scientific glassware and plasticware suppliers
  • Chemical, reagent and culture media suppliers
  • Consumables and disposables suppliers on monthly reorder
  • Indian makers of ovens, incubators, furnaces and water baths
  • Lab furniture, fume hood and clean room suppliers
  • Calibration, service and maintenance contractors
  • Turnkey lab set-up contractors for new colleges and hospitals

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You have not agreed who in the firm replies to a complaint, so a reply routine would produce late and conflicting answers.
  • You want a reference list but no lab has agreed in writing, so naming institutions would be presumptuous.

How it works

How the reputation management work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

Search your name as a stranger would

We search the business, its main product names and the owner's name, on a phone and a laptop, and record what appears.

  2. 2

    Catalogue every mention

Reviews, news, listings, social posts and forum threads are sorted into accurate and positive, accurate and negative, and wrong. Each group gets a different action.

  3. 3

Agree the replies and the owner of each

Replies are drafted and approved by you. Anything involving a refund, a clinical matter, a legal claim or a named employee goes to the right person in your business before anything is posted.

  4. 4

    Fix what you control

Listings, profile details and your own pages are corrected, and pages worth ranking for your name are strengthened with accurate information.

  5. 5

    Monitor and report

The agreed places are checked on the agreed schedule. The name search is repeated and compared with the first record.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales management. A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3 · you are here

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we ask a government college for a review?
Ask for a performance certificate instead. That is what an institution can issue and what the next tender will accept. Keep review requests for private testing labs and diagnostic chains.
A customer is angry about a delayed delivery. What do we say?
Give a date you can hold to, in writing, and then hold it. Their worry is the budget lapsing, not your explanation of the transport.
Can we mention a government college as a reference?
Only if the department head or purchase officer agrees in writing. Many institutions do not allow commercial use of their name. Ask when the supply is accepted, keep the mail on file, and use the type of lab if the name is not allowed.
An unhappy principal's distributor says our model has a fault. Do we reply publicly?
Do not trade claims about brands in public. Contact the lab, check the unit and the principal's service report, and then write a short reply with the service steps. If the claim is plainly false, say once that you are checking the facts directly.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
