Medical device manufacturers · Lead generation

Bring in demonstration requests from hospitals actually evaluating a purchase.

Lead generation for a medical device manufacturer means attracting enquiries from hospitals and distributors actively evaluating a device category, rather than collecting generic contact forms. GullySales builds specification-led content and tracks every enquiry through to a demonstration or a quote.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What lead generation means

Lead generation is the combined work of every channel that brings in a new enquiry, whether from search, adverts, referrals or a stall at an exhibition. GullySales runs these channels together and reports the number of enquiries each one produced, not the activity behind it.

For medical device manufacturers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A specification page converts an evaluator, a brochure does not”

A biomedical engineer already comparing three manufacturers needs detailed specifications to shortlist you, not a general product brochure.

  • “Exhibition leads need fast, tracked follow-up”

A contact collected at a medical exhibition goes cold within days without a structured follow-up, since the buyer is meeting several manufacturers at the same event.

  • “Tenders are a buying route many manufacturers prepare for too late”

Government and institutional buyers issue tenders, and a manufacturer with its documents and specification guides already in order can respond to one with far less scramble.

What we do

What we deliver for medical device manufacturers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Specification-led pages by device category

A dedicated page per device category with full specifications, built for a biomedical engineer already comparing manufacturers.

Result: An evaluator shortlists you from the page alone.

  2. Exhibition lead follow-up sequence

A structured follow-up sequence for contacts collected at a medical exhibition, starting soon after the event ends.

Result: The card collected at your stall gets a call while the buyer still remembers the device.

  3. Tender-ready specification and certificate pages

Specification and certificate pages for your device categories, written so a government or institutional buyer can check them against a tender.

Result: A tender team finds the figures and certificates without calling you.

  4. Demo-to-quote tracking system

Every enquiry followed through to a completed demonstration and, where relevant, a quote, so none are dropped along the way.

Result: An interested hospital is never left waiting to hear back.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries generated
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries by source

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Where enquiries come from

A medical device maker is approached by hospitals, distributors and tender portals, and each source gets its own record.

Biomedical engineer or hospital purchase officer
Record the department, the device model asked for and whether a demonstration is wanted. Ask who approves the purchase and which regulatory documents the hospital needs to see before it will proceed.
Distributor enquiry
Log the distributor, the states or districts wanted and which hospitals they already supply. Ask for the end user's name before quoting a special rate, so two distributors do not quote the same hospital.
Government or hospital tender notice
Note the tender number, closing date, the item lines and every certificate it asks for. Keep your registration and licence papers current in one folder, so you can respond before the date.
Exhibition or conference contact
Write which model the visitor handled and who else was with them. Send a message that names that model and offers a demonstration, instead of a catalogue of the whole range.
Doctor asking for a demonstration
Record the doctor, the hospital and the procedure it would be used in. Route it to the hospital's purchase route as well, because a clinician's request alone seldom becomes an order.
Export importer or agent
Log the country, the registration they need and whether they hold an import licence. Reply stating what documents you can supply, and do not promise approvals you do not hold.

Who it is for

This is written for these medical device manufacturers.

  • Diagnostic equipment manufacturers
  • Surgical instrument manufacturers
  • Hospital furniture and equipment makers
  • Disposable and consumable device manufacturers
  • Implant and orthopaedic device makers
  • Home healthcare device manufacturers
  • In-vitro diagnostic kit manufacturers
  • Export-focused medical device units

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Your team cannot schedule a demonstration or send a unit, so more requests would sit unanswered.
  • Tender papers and certificates are not kept in one place, and a lead that turns into a tender would stall on the first missing document.
  • Distributor and direct enquiries are logged in one list with no source, so you could not tell which brought a purchase.

How it works

How the lead generation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand your capacity

We ask how many enquiries your team can answer well, who answers after hours, and what a good enquiry looks like. Without this, the system fills a funnel nobody is watching.

  2. 2

    Audit current sources

We read your call log, WhatsApp chats, enquiry sheet and platform dashboards. The baseline is recorded: enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order.

  3. 3

    Strategise the channel mix

Search and maps are chosen for people ready to buy, ads for people who are not yet looking, and content and referrals for trust.

  4. 4

    Implement capture and follow-up

Pages, forms, tags, the lead record and the first-reply message are built and tested end to end. We submit test enquiries ourselves before any media money is spent.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

Enquiries are traced to source and judged by what became orders, not by volume alone. Channels that fill the sheet with poor enquiries are cut back. How often you are reported to is agreed in writing.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Does paid advertising work in this industry?
It can for specific device categories and clear searches, though much of the demand here also comes through distributors, exhibitions and tenders.
What counts as a real lead when a purchase takes a year?
The enquiries that reach a completed demonstration and then a purchase order or a tender win. We count those rather than form fills, so a long buying cycle still shows whether the enquiries were worth having.
A hospital asks for a free trial unit. How do we record it and decide?
Log it as a trial request, with the person who will use it and who approves. Agree the terms in writing: how long, where it is kept, who is trained and what happens after. Decide each request on the buyer's real purchase route.
A distributor says there is a hospital buyer but will not name it. Does it count as a lead?
Count it as a distributor lead until the hospital is named. Record the distributor and the territory, and ask for the end user's name before you give a special rate. Without a name you cannot check conflicts or follow the order.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
