Camera rental · WhatsApp marketing

Answer the availability question on WhatsApp in a message that closes the rental.

WhatsApp marketing for a camera rental shop uses the chat where renters already ask for a lens, a date and a price. GullySales works on the profile, the reply and the lists that let the shop answer promptly and stay in touch with renters who agree to hear from it.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For camera rental

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The renter asks one question and expects one answer”

Is this lens free on Saturday? A reply that says yes or no, with the rate and the deposit, closes the conversation. A reply that says we will check loses the rental to a shop that replied sooner.

  • “A catalogue in the chat saves the counter”

A business profile with products listing the bodies, lenses and kits lets a renter browse and quote an item. Staff then spend time on confirmations, not repeated descriptions. In chat work, the videographer with the bag at the counter is the one to picture.

  • “Broadcasts need consent and a reason”

A regular photographer will welcome a note before wedding season. The same list receiving constant offers will block the number. Keep to people who agreed, and say what the message is about. Picture the renter at the shop door, because the chat plan is judged there.

  • “Photographs in chat set the expectation”

A renter who receives a photograph of the actual lens and bag in reply knows what will be handed over. Sharing it also lowers the arguments about condition later. Ask the whatsapp owner which student stumbled on this point last.

What we do

What we deliver for camera rental.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A business profile and catalogue

The profile, hours and a catalogue of kits with day rates.

Result: A renter can browse the kit inside the chat.

  2. Saved replies for availability and deposit

Standard replies for date checks, deposit, ID and pickup.

Result: The same question gets the same reply every time.

  3. A consent-based contact list

A list of renters who agreed to hear from the shop, grouped by renter type.

Result: Every name on the list agreed to receive messages.

  4. A pre-season broadcast plan

A short plan for the messages sent before the busy periods.

Result: Each broadcast has a reason and an audience.

  5. Handover from chat to the counter

A routine for moving a confirmed chat into the rental record.

Result: No confirmed booking stays only in the chat.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to capture or send

The WhatsApp replies a rental shop saves, and what each should carry.

Availability reply
Confirms the kit, the dates and the rate in one message. Sent as soon as the stock is checked, because the renter asked only one question.
Catalogue entry for each kit
Name, mount, rate and a photograph of the actual item. Spares the counter from answering the same question repeatedly.
Deposit and ID message
Says what is held, what ID is accepted and when the deposit is returned. Asks the renter to confirm before pickup.
Pickup slot confirmation
States the time, the shop's landmark and who will hand over the kit. Passes the renter from chat to counter.
Opt-in for season notices
Asks whether the renter wants stock notices and logs the answer. Only those who said yes are messaged.
Photograph of the kit at handover
Sent to the renter and kept in the chat. Sets the expectation and helps settle a later dispute.

How it works

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

Read the chats you already have

We read how customers write to you, which questions repeat and where a chat goes quiet. The repeated questions decide what gets automated first.

  2. 2

Sort the list and the permission

Contacts who asked to hear from you are separated from numbers that only sit in a phone book. We agree the wording new contacts will see before they say yes.

  3. 3

Choose the app or the API

One phone and a small team can stay on the ordinary app. Several people on one number, templates or a CRM link need the API through a provider, which is its own piece of setup work.

  4. 4

Write the replies and the plan

The greeting, away message, saved replies and handover rule are written in your words and approved by you. The message plan and its templates follow.

  5. 5

    Connect the record and test

Each link carries its source line and each chat lands in the CRM. We test on real phones, including a customer who asks for a person.

  6. 6

    Read the unanswered questions

A question the first reply could not answer becomes a new saved reply or a fixed handover. Stop requests are watched too, with the number's quality rating where the API is used, since both show a message plan that has gone too far.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we send offers to everyone who ever enquired?
Send only to people who agreed to hear from you. Check the platform's current rules on business messaging. Decide the chat rule once, then repeat it everywhere the renter looks.
Should we use the API or the app?
The business app is enough for a small shop. Move to the API only when the volume needs it. Share the chat question with the counter team and note what they say.
Can we send a renter's ID photograph over WhatsApp?
Ask them not to if you can avoid it. A photograph of an ID stays in the chat and on the phone, so ask the renter to show the original at the counter and note only the type of ID in your record.
What goes into a catalogue entry for a lens?
The model name, the mount, a photograph of your own piece and the rate. Add whether a hood or filter comes with it. A renter chooses from the catalogue without calling, so wrong details lead to a wasted trip.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
