Cold-chain fish distributors · Search engine optimisation

Be the fish supplier a buyer finds when they search for one.

SEO for a fish distributor means making your depot, fish lines and service areas easy for a search engine to understand, so a purchase head or shop owner looking for a supplier finds you. GullySales works on the pages, the wording buyers type and the technical basics that let those pages be read.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For cold-chain fish distributors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Buyers search by fish and by place”

A chef types the fish, such as seer fish, pomfret or shrimp, beside a city or district. A page that says only fresh seafood matches neither. Pages naming the fish you handle and the places you deliver to match what the buyer actually types.

  • “A household is not your searcher”

Someone buying fish for dinner at home is not your buyer. A hotel purchase head searches for a bulk supplier, chilled or frozen, with delivery. Pages written for the home shopper bring calls you cannot serve, so the wording should speak to trade buyers.

  • “Local fish names carry the search”

One fish carries different names across states and languages. A buyer in a coastal city types the name used there. Your pages should hold the names your own customers use, in the scripts they read, beside the standard English name.

  • “Photographs and papers are part of the page”

Institutional buyers look for signs of a cold chain: van pictures, a cold room, licence copies. Pages that show these plainly give the search engine something specific to read and a purchase manager something to trust. Your team supplies and checks each item.

What we do

What we deliver for cold-chain fish distributors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Search-term map

The fish, trade words and place names your buyers type, each matched to the page that should answer it.

Result: A sheet linking each search term to one page.

  2. Fish-line and service-area pages

A page for each fish line and each delivery area you serve, written for trade buyers.

Result: Every line and area has its own page naming the delivery slot.

  3. Titles and descriptions

Page titles that name the trade, the fish and the place within the length a search result shows.

Result: Each page has its own title naming trade and place.

  4. Technical check

A look at whether pages load on a phone, are linked from the menu and can be read by search engines.

Result: A list of faults found and fixed, page by page.

  5. Search report

Which pages are shown for which searches, taken from your own Google Search Console account.

Result: A page-by-search table you can open yourself.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

The fish-and-place searches a restaurant or shop owner runs when a supplier fails.

fresh fish supplier for restaurants in your city
A trade page naming the city, the fish lines, the delivery window and how to ask for a trial lot. Name the areas you cover so the page matches how buyers search.
wholesale seer fish and pomfret supplier
A line page for the species you handle, with a photograph from your cold room and the sizes you grade. Buyers search by the fish they use.
frozen shrimp wholesale distributor
A page for frozen lines stating pack sizes, count grades and storage you provide. It reaches caterers and supermarkets who stock frozen fish.
fish supplier for hotels and caterers
An institutional page covering the documents you hold, the van type and the delivery hours. Purchase heads read this page before they ask for a rate.
mathi, kane or rohu supplier near me
Use the local fish name a shop owner types. A page that uses the right local name matches the search a generic page cannot.

Who it is for

This is written for these cold-chain fish distributors.

  • Distributors serving retail fish shops and wet markets
  • Suppliers to hotels, restaurants and caterers
  • Supermarket and modern retail suppliers
  • Distributors of frozen and processed fish and shrimp
  • Online fish delivery start-ups that need a cold-chain supplier
  • Wholesalers who buy at landing centres and sell onward the same day
  • Suppliers to hospital, canteen and institutional kitchens
  • Cold van operators who carry fish between districts for others

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Your supply varies day by day and you cannot name the fish you will hold, so a page for a species would promise stock you may not have
  • You have not listed your delivery areas, and a page that attracts buyers outside your route would only waste their time

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At an interval agreed in writing we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Will SEO put us on the first page?
No one can promise a position and we do not. We work on pages and wording that match what buyers search, and Search Console shows what is being displayed. The search engine decides the rankings.
Do frozen and chilled fish need separate pages?
Buyers search for them in different words, and the handling, packing and delivery differ. A page for each lets you describe your own cold chain for that line truthfully, in the terms the buyer uses.
Should the page name the landing centre or farm we buy from?
Only with the source's agreement and only when it is true on the day. Institutional buyers value a named source, but a name you cannot supply consistently becomes a promise you break. Name the region and handling first, the source second.
Does a household search for the same terms as a restaurant?
No. A household searches for a fish to cook tonight and buys from a shop or an app. A kitchen searches for a supplier by fish, volume and delivery. Write for the kitchen and the shop, and leave household searches to the retailers you supply.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Your next practical step

Tell us what you are trying to grow, and we will read it before we call.

Eight short steps, mostly taps. Skip anything you would rather answer on the call.
