Construction equipment rental · WhatsApp marketing

Put your free machines in the pocket of every contractor who has hired from you.

WhatsApp marketing for an equipment rental yard is the use of WhatsApp to share availability, answer enquiries and keep in touch with contractors who already know you. GullySales works on the business account setup, the contact list, message wording and who replies.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For construction equipment rental

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The site runs on WhatsApp”

Site engineers send photos of the ground, share a location pin and confirm a start time in the same chat. A yard that replies on WhatsApp in the buyer's own thread wins the conversation the phone call started.

  • “A broadcast list needs consent”

Messaging contractors who never agreed to hear from you annoys them and risks the number. Build the list from past hirers who have messaged you, and let anyone leave on request.

  • “A catalogue beats a long message”

A business account can show machines with sizes and photos. A buyer can browse it and forward it to a colleague. Typing the fleet out each time wastes the counter's hours.

  • “Several people, one number”

When two or three staff share one WhatsApp, messages get missed or answered twice. Decide who replies in which hours, and what the buyer is told outside them.

What we do

What we deliver for construction equipment rental.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A WhatsApp Business account set up properly

Profile, catalogue of machines, greeting and away message written for your yard.

Result: A new contact sees what you hire straight away.

  2. A consent-based contact list

Past hirers sorted by machine and area, with a note of how each agreed to receive messages.

Result: You message only those who expect it.

  3. Availability message templates

Short notices naming a free machine, area and how to book, in English and the local language.

Result: Free machines reach buyers without retyping.

  4. Reply rules for the team

Who answers, in which hours, and how a chat is logged into your enquiry record.

Result: No message sits unanswered by accident.

  5. Click-to-chat links

A link or QR code on your website, listings and machines that opens a chat with a ready first line.

Result: A buyer reaches you in one tap.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to capture or send

Send the machine, the dates and the number, in a form a site can read.

Consent to receive availability messages
Asked when the contractor first hires and recorded with the date. It lets the yard send free-machine notes without annoying people.
Availability message with photograph
A machine photograph, its size and the dates it is free, sent to opted-in hirers by one named person. It reads in seconds on a site.
Catalogue of the fleet
The business app's catalogue lists each machine type with a picture and a description, so a contractor sees the fleet without a long message.
Site location pin
The contractor sends the pin from the site. The dispatcher sees the route and the access at once, and the quote reflects the real distance.
Quote confirmation message
The quote with machine, period, operator and fuel terms written in one message, which the contractor can forward to the owner.

Who it is for

This is written for these construction equipment rental.

  • Earthmoving yards hiring excavators, backhoe loaders and skid steers
  • Crane and hydra owners serving builders and industrial sites
  • Scaffolding, formwork and shuttering rental firms
  • Concrete equipment hirers with mixers, pumps and vibrators
  • Road compaction and paving machinery owners
  • Rental arms of civil contractors that hire out idle machines
  • Single-machine owner-operators who hire out through a broker
  • Dealership-linked yards offering machines on rent before purchase

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You plan to message every number in the yard's phone with no record of consent.
  • Several staff would reply from their own phones, so a contractor could receive two different quotes.
  • You have no one to read replies, and a message that goes unanswered loses the booking.

How it works

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

Read the chats you already have

We read how customers write to you, which questions repeat and where a chat goes quiet. The repeated questions decide what gets automated first.

  2. 2

Sort the list and the permission

Contacts who asked to hear from you are separated from numbers that only sit in a phone book. We agree the wording new contacts will see before they say yes.

  3. 3

Choose the app or the API

One phone and a small team can stay on the ordinary app. Several people on one number, templates or a CRM link need the API through a provider, which is its own piece of setup work.

  4. 4

Write the replies and the plan

The greeting, away message, saved replies and handover rule are written in your words and approved by you. The message plan and its templates follow.

  5. 5

    Connect the record and test

Each link carries its source line and each chat lands in the CRM. We test on real phones, including a customer who asks for a person.

  6. 6

    Read the unanswered questions

A question the first reply could not answer becomes a new saved reply or a fixed handover. Stop requests are watched too, with the number's quality rating where the API is used, since both show a message plan that has gone too far.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we message all our old contacts?
Only those who have agreed to hear from you. Check the platform's current rules on business messaging, and keep the list limited to contractors with a real hire or enquiry.
Do we need the paid API?
Not at the start. A business account is enough for a small yard, and we move to more only when volume needs it.
Can several staff share one number?
Yes, with the business app's linked devices or a shared inbox, and a rule on who answers which chat. Without a rule, two people quote the same contractor two rates. Label each chat with the machine and the owner of the booking.
What goes in a catalogue for a rental yard?
List each machine type with a clear photograph, its size or capacity and the work it suits, and leave the rate for the quote. Contractors browse it on the site, so the entry should answer what the machine is before they ask.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
