Entertainment portals · Lead generation

Bring studio, OTT and agency enquiries in before the release, not after it.

Lead generation for an entertainment portal means finding the studio publicists, OTT marketing teams, label managers and agency planners who buy audience, and giving them a reason to write to you. GullySales builds the contact list, the release-ordered outreach and the enquiry log that sit behind those first conversations.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What lead generation means

Lead generation is the combined work of every channel that brings in a new enquiry, whether from search, adverts, referrals or a stall at an exhibition. GullySales runs these channels together and reports the number of enquiries each one produced, not the activity behind it.

For entertainment portals

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The buyer plans the campaign before the trailer drops”

A publicist or planner picks portals while the media plan is still a draft. A portal that writes after the release date is asking for a slot that no longer exists. Lead generation here is a matter of calendar order: who is told about which title, and when.

  • “The agency is a lead, not a middleman to skip”

Some portals try to reach the brand and ignore the agency that holds the plan. The planner decides which sites go on the list. Treat each agency team as its own enquiry source, with its own pack and its own contact record.

  • “Fans who sign up are leads for the sponsor, not for you”

A reader who asks for release alerts for a star or a series gives a sponsor a reason to buy that alert. Counting sign-ups by language and title turns reader behaviour into something a buyer can be shown.

  • “An enquiry from a music label reads differently from one by a studio”

A label wants to know about album and single coverage in a language. A studio asks about film pages and reviews. Sorting enquiries by buyer type at the moment they arrive saves a confused reply later.

What we do

What we deliver for entertainment portals.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A buyer-sorted contact sheet

Studio, OTT, label and agency contacts listed by title and by the languages they release in, with the last message sent to each.

Result: A sales person sees who has been written to about which title.

  2. Release-ordered outreach messages

One short introduction for each buyer type, written around a title that is about to release and the formats you sell.

Result: Each message names a real release and a real format.

  3. An enquiry intake form for sponsors

A form that asks the title, the language, the format wanted and the release date, so the first reply can be specific.

Result: Every enquiry arrives with the facts a reply needs.

  4. A lead log with source and stage

A shared sheet recording where each enquiry came from, who owns it and where it stands.

Result: The sales head can read the state of every open enquiry in one place.

  5. A reader sign-up capture

Release-alert sign-up on title pages, counted by language and by title.

Result: A sponsor can be told how many readers asked for alerts on a given title.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries generated
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries by source

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to capture or send

What an advertiser enquiry to a portal should record against a release.

Title and release date
The film, show or album the buyer wants to promote and its date, taken on the first message. Everything after is timed back from it.
Studio, label or OTT platform
Whether the enquirer sits at a studio, a music label or a streaming service, since each buys differently and asks for different proof.
Agency in the middle
The agency's name and planner, if one is involved. Record both the agency and the brand behind it on one lead.
Format wanted
A banner, a sponsored feature, a video integration or a social bundle, as the buyer states it. It shows whether they know your formats.
Language and region of the audience
Hindi, Telugu, Tamil or other readers, and the cities that matter. A South Indian release buys a different slice of your readers.

Who it is for

This is written for these entertainment portals.

  • Bollywood and Hindi film and TV news portals
  • South Indian film portals in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam
  • OTT and web-series review and guide sites
  • Music news and chart portals
  • Box-office and trade analysis sites
  • Celebrity, fashion and lifestyle entertainment sites
  • Regional-language entertainment apps with video
  • Fan community portals and forums around a star or a franchise

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • The portal has no audience figures it can stand behind, so a studio's first question would go unanswered and the lead cool.
  • Nobody on the team can reply to a publicist within the day of a release, so more enquiries would only be lost.

How it works

How the lead generation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand your capacity

We ask how many enquiries your team can answer well, who answers after hours, and what a good enquiry looks like. Without this, the system fills a funnel nobody is watching.

  2. 2

    Audit current sources

We read your call log, WhatsApp chats, enquiry sheet and platform dashboards. The baseline is recorded: enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order.

  3. 3

    Strategise the channel mix

Search and maps are chosen for people ready to buy, ads for people who are not yet looking, and content and referrals for trust.

  4. 4

    Implement capture and follow-up

Pages, forms, tags, the lead record and the first-reply message are built and tested end to end. We submit test enquiries ourselves before any media money is spent.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

Enquiries are traced to source and judged by what became orders, not by volume alone. Channels that fill the sheet with poor enquiries are cut back. How often you are reported to is agreed in writing.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Who should we write to first?
Start with the publicity and agency teams for the next releases in your languages. A release that is near has a plan that is still open, and a title far off has no one ready to listen.
Can you promise sponsor enquiries?
No. GullySales prepares the list, the messages and the log. Whether a studio or agency books depends on their plan and budget, and neither can be promised.
Should we pitch the brand or the agency?
Both, with different messages. The brand cares about the audience and the tie-in. The planner cares about format, rate and dates. Keep a separate record for each so replies do not get mixed.
A music label asks about playlist-style coverage. How do we record that lead?
Log it as a label lead with the artist, the release and the format asked for, and reply with what the portal actually covers. A label buys attention for a track, not for a film. Record whether you can offer the format at all before sending a rate.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
