Home service franchise networks · Local SEO

Win the map listing for each territory, not just for the brand's head office.

Local SEO for a home service network is the work of getting each territory's listing to appear in the map results when a resident nearby searches for a service. GullySales works on the profile, service area and review flow of every territory.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For home service franchise networks

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Head office listing hides the territories”

One listing at the registered address says nothing to a resident three kilometres from a franchisee's base. Each territory needs its own listing to appear for the people it serves.

  • “A service-area business has no shopfront to verify”

The franchisee works from a van and a small office. The listing must be set up as a service-area business, with the correct localities, or the platform may refuse it. Check the platform's current rules.

  • “One poor territory drags the shared name”

Reviews of the brand name are read together. A territory with late arrivals gathers one-star reviews that the next resident sees beside the brand, whichever franchisee they would have got.

  • “Phone numbers decide who gets the call”

If a listing shows a franchisee's personal mobile and another shows the call centre, the resident reaches different people for the same brand. The map profile is where that split is most visible.

What we do

What we deliver for home service franchise networks.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Listing per territory

A separate profile for each franchisee area, with the brand name, a service-area list and the right category for the work.

Result: Each territory appears for its own localities.

  2. One number rule

A decision on whether listings show the brand number or the franchisee's line, applied the same way everywhere.

Result: Every listing follows one rule.

  3. Photos of real technicians and vans

Photographs of technicians in uniform, branded vehicles and tools, taken by each franchisee under a short brief.

Result: The listing shows the people who will arrive.

  4. Review request after the job

A message sent from the brand number once the technician marks a job complete, with the territory's review link.

Result: Each completed job carries a review link to its own territory.

  5. Replies to complaints

Written replies to reviews about lateness or damage, in the brand's voice, naming the steps taken.

Result: A reader sees the complaint answered in public.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

Maps searches reach a network when each territory has its own listing.

pest control near me
Answered by the territory listing set as a service-area business, with the localities and pincodes served.
AC service [locality]
Answered by a listing that names the locality, the franchisee and a photograph of a real technician and van.
home cleaning service open today
Answered by hours that match the call centre, so the resident is not told a service is open when it is not.
[brand] customer care number
Answered by one rule on the number: the territory listing shows the number that reaches the booking desk.
[brand] franchise [city]
Answered by the head office listing for the franchise team, kept apart from the customer listing.

Who it is for

This is written for these home service franchise networks.

  • Pest control franchise networks
  • Home cleaning and deep cleaning franchise brands
  • AC and appliance repair franchise networks
  • Plumbing and electrical on-call franchise brands
  • Home painting and renovation franchise networks
  • Water purifier and RO service franchises
  • Sofa, carpet and mattress cleaning franchises
  • Multi-service home care brands with territory franchisees

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Franchisees list themselves under the brand name without approval, and adding more listings would multiply the confusion.
  • The same phone number is not answered at every territory, so a map call would reach nobody.
  • Territories are not fixed, and two franchisees would end up listing the same pincode.

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Write down what is true

Each branch's real address, signboard name, phone, hours and owning Google account go into one record you sign off. Every later listing is copied from it.

  2. 2

    Search as your buyer does

We search each branch on a phone from points around it, in your buyers' words, and note who appears with what reviews and photos.

  3. 3

    Fix the profile first

Ownership first, then name, address, pin, phone, hours and business type. Google can suspend a profile with extra words in its name or an address that is not a real premises.

  4. 4

Build the branch pages and match the listings

Each real branch gets its own page, and the other listings are changed to agree with it. We write none for towns without a branch, because Google treats near-identical pages as doorway pages.

  5. 5

    Ask, reply and measure

We agree with each branch who asks for reviews, when and how. Results are set against the baseline recorded before work began, and the branch that is behind gets the next round.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can two franchisees list the same pincode?
They can both serve it, but the listings should name their own localities. The territory rule on the franchise page decides who takes a booking that falls in the overlap.
Should the technician's phone be on the listing?
The brand number is the safer choice, because it can route the call to whichever franchisee is free. A direct line suits a territory with a settled single operator.
What if a franchisee leaves the network?
Remove or transfer the listing so the brand name does not stay attached to a number the brand no longer controls. Keep a record of who holds access to each profile.
What happens to the listing when a franchisee leaves?
Transfer ownership of the listing to the brand before the franchisee exits, so the profile and its reviews stay with the territory. Put this in the franchise agreement and the exit checklist. A listing owned by an outgoing franchisee is hard to recover.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
