Master franchise operators · Lead generation

Find investors who can fund an outlet, not people who only admire the brand.

Lead generation for a master franchise operator means attracting the sub-franchise candidates who have the capital, the property and the intent to open a unit under the brand. It is a different job from filling a general franchise enquiry list. GullySales works on the pages, the enquiry route and the qualifying questions that bring those candidates to your team.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What lead generation means

Lead generation is the combined work of every channel that brings in a new enquiry, whether from search, adverts, referrals or a stall at an exhibition. GullySales runs these channels together and reports the number of enquiries each one produced, not the activity behind it.

For master franchise operators

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The brand is a stranger, so the enquiry is curiosity”

A candidate who has seen an international name on a trip abroad will fill in a form out of interest. Interest is not capital. Without early questions on city, property and budget, the team spends its calls on admirers while serious investors wait.

  • “Territory rights decide who you may speak to”

The licence names the states or cities where you may sell units. An enquiry from a city outside the grant, or from a region already promised to another party, needs a polite answer, not a pitch. Routing by location saves an awkward conversation later.

  • “Opening targets in the licence set the pace of the pipeline”

The licensor expects a set number of outlets by set dates, so a thin pipeline is a licence problem as well as a sales problem. Lead sources need watching by the number of qualified candidates they produce, not by raw form fills.

  • “A candidate compares you with Indian franchises”

The investor in Nagpur also looks at local brands with outlets already trading nearby. Your route has to answer why an imported brand with a licence chain is worth the royalty, using proof from India and the licensor's own standards.

What we do

What we deliver for master franchise operators.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A candidate page set by city and format

Pages for the cities and unit formats the licence allows, each stating what the investor funds and what the brand and the operator provide.

Result: A candidate in a listed city sees a page for that city, not a generic national pitch.

  2. Qualifying questions on the enquiry form

A short set of questions on city, property, capital range and experience, written so a serious candidate answers them without feeling screened.

Result: The team knows before the first call whether the candidate can proceed.

  3. Source tracking for every enquiry

Each enquiry is tagged by where it came from, such as search, a franchise portal, a referral or an exhibition stand.

Result: The owner can see which source brought candidates who reached a signed unit.

  4. A reply routine for out-of-territory enquiries

Standard wording for candidates outside your grant, with a note of when the territory might open.

Result: No out-of-territory enquiry is left unanswered or promised something the licence does not allow.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries generated
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries by source

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to capture or send

The details that separate a funded candidate from a curious visitor.

City and the format wanted
Unit, area or master rights are different sales. The city also tells you at once whether the candidate falls inside your territory.
Property in hand or to be found
A candidate with a shop or plot ready is further along than one who still has to look. The answer sets the next step.
Capital range the candidate can raise
Ask for the range, not an exact figure, and record it in the candidate's words. It tells the caller whether the unit format fits.
Business experience so far
A first-time investor and an owner of several shops need different conversations. Note it on the first call.
How the candidate found the brand
Own page, portal, a visit to an outlet or a referral. After some months the sheet shows which source produced signed units.

Who it is for

This is written for these master franchise operators.

  • Master franchisees for international food and beverage brands
  • Master franchisees for global education and child enrichment brands
  • Master franchise holders for fitness and wellness brands
  • Master franchisees for retail and lifestyle brands
  • Master franchise operators for hospitality and service brands
  • Regional master franchisees covering several Indian states
  • Master franchisees for Indian brands going into another territory
  • Area developers with rights to open multiple units themselves

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • The licensor has not yet confirmed which cities and formats you may sell, so enquiries would arrive for units you cannot offer.
  • You have no written outlet economics approved for sharing, so every serious candidate would stall at the first money question.
  • Nobody on your team can take a candidate to see a working outlet, so the sale would depend on a brochure.

How it works

How the lead generation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand your capacity

We ask how many enquiries your team can answer well, who answers after hours, and what a good enquiry looks like. Without this, the system fills a funnel nobody is watching.

  2. 2

    Audit current sources

We read your call log, WhatsApp chats, enquiry sheet and platform dashboards. The baseline is recorded: enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order.

  3. 3

    Strategise the channel mix

Search and maps are chosen for people ready to buy, ads for people who are not yet looking, and content and referrals for trust.

  4. 4

    Implement capture and follow-up

Pages, forms, tags, the lead record and the first-reply message are built and tested end to end. We submit test enquiries ourselves before any media money is spent.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

Enquiries are traced to source and judged by what became orders, not by volume alone. Channels that fill the sheet with poor enquiries are cut back. How often you are reported to is agreed in writing.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we list on franchise portals as well as run our own pages?
Both can sit in the plan, but own pages carry the licence-chain explanation a portal listing cannot. We compare the candidates each source produces. Check the platform's current rules and your licensor's approval before any listing goes live.
How do we stop unqualified enquiries from wasting sales calls?
By asking the right questions before the call: city, property, capital range and prior business experience. The questions go on the form and are repeated by the first caller. Candidates who cannot proceed are answered kindly and recorded.
Can you promise a number of sub-franchisees?
No. Candidate numbers depend on the brand, the cities, the investment and the market. We build the route and report on what it brings in.
Can we sell units outside our territory if a candidate asks?
Only where your licence allows it. Territory rights are set in the agreement, and selling outside them can breach the contract with the licensor. Record the enquiry, tell the candidate honestly, and ask the licensor whether the enquiry can be referred.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
