Photography studios · WhatsApp marketing

Let the package card travel on WhatsApp so the price arrives with a picture.

WhatsApp marketing for a photography studio is the use of WhatsApp Business to answer enquiries, send package cards and remind customers about bookings and occasions. GullySales works on the profile, the replies and the lists so the number is used the same way by everyone at the counter.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For photography studios

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Customers share the studio's reply with the family”

A package card sent to one person is forwarded to the spouse, the parents and a friend. It must make sense without the studio explaining it, with the sitting, the inclusions, the price and the address visible at once.

  • “Photographs are the product and the message”

A customer wants to see work before booking. A short, approved set of sample pictures sent in the chat does the selling, but only pictures with recorded consent should be sent.

  • “One phone for the whole studio is a risk”

When the number sits on a single person's handset, replies stop when they are away. A shared WhatsApp Business setup with set answers means the studio responds even when the photographer is behind the camera.

  • “Broadcasts can annoy as easily as please”

A festival greeting with an offer is welcome from a studio the customer knows. Sent to strangers or too many times, it earns a block. Send only to people who have dealt with you and check the platform's current rules.

What we do

What we deliver for photography studios.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. WhatsApp Business profile

Name, address, hours, catalogue of sittings and a short greeting message set up.

Result: A new contact sees what the studio offers on opening the chat.

  2. Package cards in picture form

One card for each sitting with the inclusions, print sizes, studio time and price, ready to forward.

Result: A package is quoted by sending a single card.

  3. Saved replies for common questions

Saved replies for rates, availability, documents for visa photographs and the address.

Result: The counter answers the same question the same way.

  4. Labels and lists

Contacts labelled by sitting and by stage, from new enquiry to booked to delivered.

Result: You can find every enquiry waiting on a reply.

  5. Consent-based occasion messages

Birthday, anniversary and festival messages prepared for customers who agreed to receive them.

Result: Only people who said yes receive a message.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to capture or send

Package cards, confirmations and reminders travel well as pictures and short messages.

Package card as a picture
A single image listing the sitting, what is included and the price, which a customer can forward to the family to decide together.
Saved reply for opening hours
A short message with hours, address and landmark, ready for the counter to send in one tap.
Booking confirmation
The date, time and what to bring, sent as soon as the slot is fixed, which also gives the customer a message to refer back to.
Proof sharing for approval
A set of proofs sent to the customer to choose from, with the date the final files will be ready.
Occasion greeting
A short note on a festival, to customers who agreed, with the dates still open and nothing more.

Who it is for

This is written for these photography studios.

  • Portrait and family photography studios
  • Passport, visa and ID photo studios
  • Children's and newborn photography studios
  • Maternity and couple photography studios
  • Product and e-commerce photography studios
  • School and college photography studios
  • Corporate headshot studios
  • Photo studios that also print, frame and make albums

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • The studio number is also the owner's personal number and the owner wants no customer messages there.
  • You plan to add customers to a broadcast list without asking, which annoys them and risks the number.

How it works

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

Read the chats you already have

We read how customers write to you, which questions repeat and where a chat goes quiet. The repeated questions decide what gets automated first.

  2. 2

Sort the list and the permission

Contacts who asked to hear from you are separated from numbers that only sit in a phone book. We agree the wording new contacts will see before they say yes.

  3. 3

Choose the app or the API

One phone and a small team can stay on the ordinary app. Several people on one number, templates or a CRM link need the API through a provider, which is its own piece of setup work.

  4. 4

Write the replies and the plan

The greeting, away message, saved replies and handover rule are written in your words and approved by you. The message plan and its templates follow.

  5. 5

    Connect the record and test

Each link carries its source line and each chat lands in the CRM. We test on real phones, including a customer who asks for a person.

  6. 6

    Read the unanswered questions

A question the first reply could not answer becomes a new saved reply or a fixed handover. Stop requests are watched too, with the number's quality rating where the API is used, since both show a message plan that has gone too far.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do we need the WhatsApp Business API?
Not at the start. The WhatsApp Business app handles a single studio's catalogue, labels and replies. Consider the API only when volume and several staff need more structure.
Can we add customers to a broadcast list?
Add people who have dealt with the studio and agreed to hear from it, and let them leave easily. Check the platform's current rules before sending to a list.
Should proofs be sent on WhatsApp?
Send low-resolution proofs for selection and hold full files until payment is settled. Proofs are easily forwarded, so mark them with the studio name, and keep customers' pictures out of group chats you do not control.
How should we handle a customer who sends a photo for us to edit?
Agree the edit, the price and the delivery date in the chat, and keep the original unchanged. A customer's own picture is theirs, so confirm what you may do with it and delete it when the job ends if they ask.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Tell us what you are trying to grow, and we will read it before we call.

Eight short steps, mostly taps. Skip anything you would rather answer on the call.
