What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For printer rental

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The enquiry arrives as a one-line message”

Photocopier on rent, rate? is a typical opening. A reply that is a wall of text loses the buyer, while a short answer that asks page volume and paper size starts a real conversation.

  • “Meter readings are asked by phone call”

Calling every customer for a count takes a person's day and reaches the customer at the wrong moment. A message with a photo reply fits the way the customer already communicates.

  • “Customer numbers sit on personal phones”

When the engineer leaves or the phone is lost, the thread goes with them. A shared business number with a record of conversations keeps the relationship with the firm.

  • “Bulk messages irritate placed customers”

A broadcast that treats a running customer like a cold lead damages trust. Separate lists for enquiries, running accounts and ended contracts keep each message relevant.

What we do

What we deliver for printer rental.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A WhatsApp Business profile

Profile, catalogue of plans, away message and quick replies set up with your service areas and plan summaries.

Result: The profile shows plans, areas and hours in one place.

  2. Quotation message templates

Short templates for the first reply, the plan summary and the quote chase.

Result: Staff reply from templates and add the account details.

  3. A meter-reading request routine

A message to each customer asking for the count with a photo, matched to the machine record.

Result: Each reading is stored against the machine it belongs to.

  4. Renewal and second-machine messages

Templates for contracts nearing their end and for customers whose volume suggests another machine.

Result: Renewal messages come from one approved set.

  5. Opt-in and list hygiene

A way to record consent and keep enquiry, customer and ended-contract lists apart.

Result: Every number on a broadcast list has a recorded reason for being there.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to capture or send

The messages a rental firm sends on WhatsApp and when.

Reply to a one-line enquiry
Two questions only: pages through the machine in a busy stretch, and A4 or A3. Keep it short; a wall of text loses the buyer.
Plan sheet as an image
Send the quota, extra-page rate and service area as one clean image after the buyer answers. Record the send in the CRM against the enquiry.
Meter photo request
A fixed message asking the customer to photograph the meter and reply. It replaces a phone call, and the photograph is kept on the record.
Engineer visit confirmation
Send the engineer's name and the visit slot you have agreed with the customer. Never promise an arrival time the engineer has not confirmed.
Renewal note before the notice date
A short message to the signing contact with the end date and a question about volume. Ask permission first; running customers should not get cold-lead broadcasts.
Exam hire booking reminder
A message to schools and colleges who hired before, only if they agreed to receive it. State how to book and who handles it.

Who it is for

This is written for these printer rental.

  • Photocopier and multifunction printer rental dealers
  • Laser printer rental firms for small offices
  • Colour and production printer rental suppliers
  • A3 and large-format plotter rental firms
  • Managed print service providers for multi-branch companies
  • Printer rental for schools, colleges and coaching centres
  • Thermal and label printer rental for warehouses and shops
  • Short-term printer hire for exams, events and elections

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You hold customer numbers without any record of permission to message them, and the platform's rules require consent for business messages.
  • Your phones are personal and nobody is assigned to the business number, so replies would depend on whoever has the handset.

How it works

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

Read the chats you already have

We read how customers write to you, which questions repeat and where a chat goes quiet. The repeated questions decide what gets automated first.

  2. 2

Sort the list and the permission

Contacts who asked to hear from you are separated from numbers that only sit in a phone book. We agree the wording new contacts will see before they say yes.

  3. 3

Choose the app or the API

One phone and a small team can stay on the ordinary app. Several people on one number, templates or a CRM link need the API through a provider, which is its own piece of setup work.

  4. 4

Write the replies and the plan

The greeting, away message, saved replies and handover rule are written in your words and approved by you. The message plan and its templates follow.

  5. 5

    Connect the record and test

Each link carries its source line and each chat lands in the CRM. We test on real phones, including a customer who asks for a person.

  6. 6

    Read the unanswered questions

A question the first reply could not answer becomes a new saved reply or a fixed handover. Stop requests are watched too, with the number's quality rating where the API is used, since both show a message plan that has gone too far.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we send offers to all our customers at once?
Only to those who agreed to receive them, and within the platform's current rules. We keep separate lists and write messages that suit each, so a running customer does not receive a cold pitch.
Should we use the WhatsApp Business app or the API?
The app suits a small team with a few hundred contacts. The API suits larger volumes and several staff on one number. We recommend after seeing your volume and team.
Can we message customers whose contracts have ended?
Only if they agreed to receive your messages and have not withdrawn. Ended customers are a good group for a renewal question, but permission must be on record. Check the platform's current rules on templates and opt-in.
What stops a customer's meter photo getting lost?
Save every photograph to the customer's record the same day, against the contract and the date. Chat threads scroll away and engineers change phones, so the record, not the thread, must hold the count.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
