Wedding planners · Search engine optimisation

Rank in the city where the wedding is, not where your office is.

SEO for a wedding planner decides who a couple finds when they search for a planner in the city where the wedding will be held. GullySales builds the pages for your destinations and wedding types, and fixes the faults keeping them out of the results.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For wedding planners

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The search names the venue city, not yours”

A Bengaluru couple marrying in Udaipur searches for a planner in Udaipur. A page about your office address cannot answer that.

  • “Cost searches are where couples start”

Destination wedding cost, planner charges, budget for two hundred guests. Ignoring those words leaves the enquiry to a listing site that will sell it back to you.

  • “Community and ritual words are real searches”

A Tamil brahmin wedding, a Punjabi wedding, a Coorg wedding. Families want a planner who has run their rituals, and they search in exactly those words.

  • “Families abroad search earlier and differently”

A family in New Jersey planning a December wedding in Kerala is looking in March, in their own phrasing, and almost nobody is writing for them.

What we do

What we deliver for wedding planners.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A page for each destination you work in

Udaipur, Goa, Kerala, Jaipur or wherever you actually run weddings, with the venues used, the guest logistics handled and what that season is like there.

Result: A couple searching that city finds a planner who has been there.

  2. Pages for wedding types and communities

Destination, intimate, multi-day traditional and community weddings, each describing the rituals, the number of days and the scale you have handled.

Result: A family sees a planner who has run their kind of wedding.

  3. A cost page that answers honestly

What moves a wedding budget, what a planning fee covers against vendor costs, and the range your weddings start at.

Result: The enquiries that arrive fit what you actually do.

  4. Real weddings written up as pages

Each wedding written with guest count, venues, rituals, the logistics and a problem your team solved, published with the family's permission.

Result: Search engines and parents both get proof.

  5. A technical check on a photograph-heavy site

Load speed with full-screen galleries, image sizes, broken links and pages a search engine cannot read behind a portfolio viewer.

Result: The gallery stops being the reason nobody finds you.

  6. Positions and enquiries reported

Where the destination and wedding type pages stand, the enquiries traced to them and the budgets those enquiries carried, read against the starting figures.

Result: You see which page brings the weddings you want.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these wedding planners.

  • Full-service wedding planners
  • Destination wedding planners
  • Décor-led planners and designers
  • Budget and intimate wedding planners
  • Planners specialising in regional and community weddings
  • Wedding coordinators for the day of the event

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You cannot show a single wedding you ran in the destination you want a page for, so the page would claim experience you cannot back.
  • Nobody on your team can reply to an enquiry within the working day, so more search visitors would only reach an unanswered form.
  • Your fee structure is still undecided, so a cost page would have to be rewritten as soon as you settle it.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At an interval agreed in writing we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

We are based in one city but work all over. How do we rank elsewhere?
With a page per destination that proves you have worked there: venues used, guest travel handled, the local season, the vendors you trust. A thin page listing city names ranks nowhere and reads badly to a parent.
Is it worth writing a page about cost?
Yes, because it is the first thing a family searches and the last thing planners publish. Give the range your weddings start at and explain what moves it. The enquiries that follow come from families who can pay it.
Should we list the vendors we work with?
Name the venues and the vendors only with their agreement, and say that you do not take payment for a listing. Couples trust a planner who is clear about who is chosen for quality and who is chosen by the client.
Can we use a photographer's pictures of the weddings we planned?
Only with the photographer's written permission and the family's consent. Credit the photographer on the page. A contract with the photographer and the family should say where the pictures may be used, before the wedding.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
