Structural and civil engineers · Search engine optimisation

Be found by the committee searching for a structural audit.

Search matters to a structural practice for the two buyers who arrive without a referral. One is the plot owner who needs drawings for plan sanction. The other is the apartment committee whose block has started cracking. GullySales builds a page for each of those jobs, and project pages by building type.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For structural and civil engineers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Architects do not search, so search is for the other two buyers”

Referral work will never come from Google. What comes from Google is a house owner with a sanction deadline and a secretary with a leaking slab.

  • “Buyers type the approval body's words”

Structural drawings for plan sanction, or a stability certificate for a bank, is what gets searched. A page called structural design services matches none of it.

  • “A project page is the only proof search can carry”

A page on the transfer beam over a stilt floor, with the building type and the constraint, reads as evidence to an architect who lands on it.

What we do

What we deliver for structural and civil engineers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A page for each kind of work you take

Separate pages for structural audits, plan sanction drawings, retrofitting, industrial shed design and proof checking, each written for the person who buys it.

Result: Each buyer finds a page about their own problem.

  2. Project pages arranged by building type

A page per significant project with the building type, the structural system, the constraint and construction photographs, published where the client has agreed.

Result: An architect can see a structure like the one on their board.

  3. The approval words used in the headings

Page titles and headings that use the terms your city's sanction and audit process actually uses, rather than textbook wording.

Result: The page matches what the owner typed.

  4. A page explaining your inspection and testing method

What a full audit involves, which tests are run and what each one shows, written in general terms and confirmed by your engineers.

Result: Committees arrive understanding what they are buying.

  5. A technical clean-up of the site

Speed, phone layout, page titles and broken links checked, since most consultancy sites were built once by a vendor and left.

Result: The pages you have stop being held back by a fixable fault.

  6. A report by work type

Visits, enquiries and proposals traced to each page, split between audit work, sanction work and design work, against the baseline recorded before work starts.

Result: You can see which service the site is actually selling.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

What a plot owner or a committee types before calling a structural engineer, and the page that answers it.

structural engineer for house construction
A residential design page. List what you deliver, such as foundation, column and slab drawings, and what the owner must bring, such as the soil report and the architect's plan.
structural design for G+2 building
A page named in the trade's own shorthand. Show buildings of that type you have designed, what the drawing set contains, and what you check on site before the slab is cast.
structural audit of old apartment building
An audit page for committees. Describe the visual inspection, the tests you carry out, what the report contains, and how a committee should take the findings to its members.
cracks in building walls what to do
A page that helps the reader judge urgency. Say which cracks usually need an engineer, what to photograph and note, and that a visit is needed before anyone can say what is wrong.
structural stability certificate for building
A certificate page. Say which situations ask for one, such as occupancy or a change of use, what an inspection must cover first, and that the local authority's current requirements apply.
pre-engineered steel building design consultant
A page for industrial owners. Describe the design checks, the drawings handed to the fabricator, and how you review the fabricator's own design if the owner already has one.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the search engine optimisation work runs

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

What should an engineering practice put on its website?
Projects and method. A page per building type showing the structural system and the problem solved, plus a page each for audits, retrofitting and sanction drawings. A list of services ranks for nothing and convinces nobody.
Will search bring us work from architects?
Not directly. Architects find engineers through other architects and through site experience. But an architect asked to suggest a name will open your site first, so the pages still have to hold up.
Should we publish a fee for structural drawings?
Publish how the fee is built, not a figure. Say whether it is by built-up area, lump sum or stage, and what changes it. An owner comparing quotes needs to know what is in each, and a clear basis separates you from a quote that omits site visits.
Can we show photographs of cracks and failures we have repaired?
Yes, with the owner's permission and without naming the building or its street. Explain what the engineer found and did, but do not diagnose on the page. Say a visit is needed, so no reader treats a photograph as advice.
Can a structural engineering practice market itself without seeming commercial?
Yes, by showing work rather than making claims. A page explaining how you solved a transfer beam on a stilt floor reads as professional to an architect. An advertisement promising the best design does not.
How do we explain our fee to a plot owner comparing a cheaper engineer?
List what each fee includes. Drawings, calculations, site visits at footing, column and slab stages, and the certificate for plan sanction, set side by side, show the owner what the lower fee leaves out.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
