Structural and civil engineers · Pay per click advertising

Only two searches are worth buying, and one is an emergency.

Paid search suits a structural practice for the work that arrives urgently: an audit after a crack appears, and drawings needed before a sanction deadline. GullySales runs campaigns for those two and keeps money away from the design work your referrals already bring.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What pay per click advertising means

Pay per click advertising (PPC) is paying a fee each time someone clicks your advert on Google or another platform. It puts you at the top of a search page immediately, instead of waiting for ranking to build. GullySales sets the targeting, writes the ad text and checks spend against enquiries received.

For structural and civil engineers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Audit searches follow the rain, not a plan”

A committee starts looking after water comes through a slab. The spend belongs in the weeks either side of the monsoon, not spread evenly.

  • “Nobody buys an architect's engineer from an advertisement”

Design work through practices is won on site and in meetings. Advertising for it spends money on an audience that is not looking.

  • “The person reading the ad is a secretary”

She has to take this to a general body meeting, so the ad and the page have to say what a full audit involves before any fee is discussed.

What we do

What we deliver for structural and civil engineers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Campaigns for audits and sanction drawings

Two separate campaigns aimed at the committee and the plot owner, each with its own wording, page and budget.

Result: Money goes to the searches that produce appointments.

  2. Budget weighted to the months that matter

Spend concentrated before and after the monsoon for audit work, and through the building season for sanction drawings.

Result: You are visible when the enquiries actually exist.

  3. Landing pages written for a committee

A page setting out what an inspection covers, which tests are run, what the report contains and how long it takes.

Result: A secretary has something she can take to a meeting.

  4. A block list for courses, jobs and material searches

Negative keywords for engineering courses, job seekers, software, cement and steel rates, reviewed as terms appear.

Result: The budget stops funding students and job applicants.

  5. Call tracking with an agreed reply time

Every call from an ad recorded against its campaign, with a named person and a time by which the call is returned.

Result: An urgent enquiry reaches an engineer the same day.

  6. Cost per audit enquiry, reported

Spend compared with enquiries, site visits and appointments by campaign, against the baseline recorded before work starts.

Result: The advertising is judged on appointments won.

How the result is measured

  • Cost per click
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries from paid search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches to bid on and block

The searches worth paying for as a structural engineer, and the ones to keep out.

Audit and crack searches, such as structural audit of old building
Bid. A committee that has noticed cracks, or an owner who was told to get an audit, searches this way. Explain what an inspection covers and what the report contains, and ask for the building's age.
Design searches, such as structural design for a G+2 house
Bid in a separate campaign for plot owners and small builders. The page should list the drawings you provide and what you need from the architect or owner, such as the plan and soil report.
Certificate-only searches, such as structural stability certificate
Block, or say plainly that a certificate follows an inspection. Do not sell a certificate without one. A page that explains this keeps off the people who want a signature.
Course, software and material searches, such as STAAD course or steel rate
Block. They come from students, job seekers and material buyers. Add structural engineer jobs, drawing templates and software download to the same list.
Where the click lands
Send an audit click to a page for committees, with what is examined and who signs. The form should ask the building's age, the number of floors, the location and the reason for the audit.
Counting a real enquiry
Count a call from an owner or committee secretary that ends in a site visit being fixed, or a form with an age and a location. Note the reason for the audit, so you learn which trigger brings work.

Who it is for

This is written for these structural and civil engineers.

  • Structural design consultancies for residential and commercial buildings
  • Independent structural engineers working with architects
  • Structural audit, testing and retrofitting specialists
  • Pre-engineered and steel building design consultants
  • Civil engineering consultancies for roads, drainage and site development
  • Proof checking and peer review consultants
  • Geotechnical and soil investigation firms
  • Project management and site supervision consultancies

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the pay per click advertising work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the total budget

We agree the full paid advertising budget available across all platforms, rather than planning each one separately.

  2. 2

    Audit current platform performance

We compare existing campaigns on a shared basis to see where the budget currently performs best and worst.

  3. 3

    Build the cross-platform plan

Campaigns are structured across platforms with a shared measurement standard from the outset.

  4. 4

    Implement and monitor

Campaigns run with budget allocated dynamically based on real-time performance.

  5. 5

    Measure and reallocate

We report performance and shift budget toward what is working, within agreed limits.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should a structural consultancy advertise at all?
For audits, repairs and sanction drawings, yes, because those buyers search. For architect-led design work, no. That money does more in the project record and in a programme of architect visits.
How do we keep out people who just want a signed certificate?
State the method in the ad and on the page. Saying that a stability certificate follows an inspection and tests turns away the callers who only want a signature, and they were never an enquiry worth having.
Should we advertise to builders or to individual plot owners?
Treat them as two campaigns. Builders mostly come through relationships, so advertising reaches only a few. Plot owners search for a structural engineer once, close to sanction, so a campaign aimed at them is easier to measure.
What should the advert say about our qualifications?
State only what you hold, in the words the professional body uses, and keep it factual. Advertising rules for engineers differ by body and change, so check them with your own council before the advert runs.
Can a structural engineering practice market itself without seeming commercial?
Yes, by showing work rather than making claims. A page explaining how you solved a transfer beam on a stilt floor reads as professional to an architect. An advertisement promising the best design does not.
How do we explain our fee to a plot owner comparing a cheaper engineer?
List what each fee includes. Drawings, calculations, site visits at footing, column and slab stages, and the certificate for plan sanction, set side by side, show the owner what the lower fee leaves out.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
