Civil contractors · Local SEO

Be the name that appears when an owner in your town searches for a wall or drain.

Local SEO for a civil contractor means appearing on the map and in town-level searches when a nearby owner needs a job done on their plot. GullySales sets up the Google listing, the service-area pages and the habit of adding finished sites, then checks which searches produce calls.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For civil contractors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The owner searches with a place attached”

A person who has just bought a plot types a locality along with the job. A contractor whose listing and pages name that locality is shown beside the search. One who lists only a head office town is skipped for a nearer name.

  • “A contractor's address is an office, not a shopfront”

Walk-in customers are rare in civil work, so a listing built for a shop misleads. Mark the service area, state the works and show finished sites, so the owner understands you travel to them.

  • “Reviews from site owners carry weight with the next owner”

A neighbour's recommendation on the map is read before the phone number. Asking a satisfied owner at handover, in their language, produces more honest reviews than a generic request sent weeks later.

  • “A listing with wrong hours loses the call”

An owner who rings a number that is not answered during site hours moves to the next name. Calls reach a supervisor on site, so the listing should give the office number and the right working days.

What we do

What we deliver for civil contractors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A Google Business Profile for the office

Correct name, service area, works offered and categories chosen from the real list, with the office phone answered by a named person.

Result: The listing opens with accurate details and the right service area.

  2. A photo routine for finished sites

A short process for the supervisor to send site photographs, with the locality and the work, to the person who uploads them.

Result: New photographs reach the listing without waiting for a quiet day.

  3. Town and locality pages

A page for each place you serve, naming the works done and the distance you will travel.

Result: An owner in each covered town finds a page that names it.

  4. A review request message

A short WhatsApp message in English or the local language, sent at handover, with the review link.

Result: The request is sent at the right moment, and the message is ready to forward.

  5. A map-visibility check

A note on how the listing appears for the main job searches in each town.

Result: The owner can see where the listing shows up and where it does not.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are recorded, and the branches falling behind come first in the next round of work.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

We have no shop. Can we still have a Google listing?
Yes, as a service-area business with the address hidden if you prefer. Follow the platform's current rules on addresses and service areas, and keep the details the same as on your website.
How many towns should we list?
Only those your crew can reach and serve well. Listing a town far away brings enquiries you decline. We help you set the radius from where your site crews actually work.
What if a competitor posts false reviews on our listing?
Report them through the platform's own process and keep a record. Do not reply in anger. A calm, factual reply written for the next reader works better than an argument, and the platform decides what is removed.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
