Yoga and pilates studios · Email marketing

Remind a lapsing member before they quietly stop renewing.

Email marketing for a yoga or pilates studio reminds members of upcoming classes and events. GullySales also triggers a message when attendance starts dropping, before a renewal is missed.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What email marketing means

Email marketing is sending planned messages to a list of past and prospective customers who have agreed to hear from you. It suits offers, updates and staying in touch with someone who is not ready to buy yet. GullySales writes and schedules these emails and tracks who opens, clicks and enquires.

For yoga and pilates studios

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Attendance-drop emails are the most valuable”

A message triggered by falling attendance, offering to help find a better class time, can save a membership before it lapses.

  • “Workshop announcements build community”

Special events emailed to the full membership list build the sense of belonging that keeps people renewing.

  • “New class launches target relevant segments”

A new prenatal class is emailed to relevant members specifically, not the entire list regardless of interest.

What we do

What we deliver for yoga and pilates studios.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Attendance-drop check-in emails

A message sent once a member's visits noticeably slow, offering to help find a class time that fits their week better.

Result: A member drifting away hears from the studio before a renewal is missed.

  2. Workshop and event announcement emails

Messages to the full membership list for special sessions and community events.

Result: Members feel part of a community beyond just attending class.

  3. Segmented new-class launch emails

A message sent only to members likely to be interested, such as prenatal students hearing about a new prenatal class.

Result: A relevant announcement reaches the right members instead of being ignored.

  4. Renewal reminder email

A message timed ahead of a membership's expiry, separate from the attendance-drop message.

Result: A member renews before the contract lapses rather than after.

  5. New trial student welcome series

A short sequence introducing the studio, the instructors and class etiquette after a trial is booked.

Result: A new student arrives already knowing what to expect.

How the result is measured

What must be in place first

What a yoga or pilates studio needs in place before it emails members and trial students.

Consent taken at the trial
Ask at booking whether the student agrees to class reminders and studio news by email and WhatsApp. Record the date and the channel. A number given for a booking is not agreement to offers.
Attendance records that a mail can use
Keep the date of the last class, the plan, the renewal date and the instructor each student likes. A check-in mail is only kind if the record is right.
Lists by stage
Trial students, new members, long-standing members, lapsed members and corporate contacts each need different mail. Never send a trial offer to someone who already pays.
No health claims
Describe the class, the level and what to bring. Do not promise relief from a condition, and tell students with injuries or pregnancy to speak to their doctor. Check the rules for health claims.
WhatsApp for classes and email for the rest
Use WhatsApp for same-day changes. Use email for the schedule, the workshop and the renewal, with a clear unsubscribe.
A sender they know
Send from the studio or the instructor on your domain, with the address and a map link. Students reply to a person.

Who it is for

This is written for these yoga and pilates studios.

  • Hatha and traditional yoga studios
  • Power yoga and fitness-focused studios
  • Reformer and mat pilates studios
  • Prenatal and postnatal yoga specialists
  • Corporate wellness and workplace yoga providers
  • Yoga teacher training institutes
  • Hybrid online and in-studio yoga platforms
  • Multi-branch yoga and pilates chains

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Few students have given an email address or agreed to hear from the studio, so there is no list to write to.
  • No one has time to write a message that the teacher would sign off, so the emails would sound like a sales line.

How it works

How the email marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand your list

We review who is on the list, how they got there, what they agreed to, and how long since they last heard from you.

  2. 2

    Audit past sends

We read past campaign reports, your sending domain settings and any spam complaints to see what has and has not worked.

  3. 3

    Segment and plan

The list is split into groups and a sending calendar is agreed, with a rule for unsubscribes and quiet addresses.

  4. 4

    Write and set up

Emails are written, checked and scheduled in your email tool. Welcome and nurture emails are set to send on a trigger where that fits.

  5. 5

    Measure and adjust

We read clicks, replies, enquiries and complaints by segment, and change subject lines, timing and content to match.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do studio members respond to email?
Yes, especially attendance and renewal reminders, since members generally want to stay engaged, not lapse by accident.
How often should we send these?
Regular but not excessive, timed around classes and attendance patterns rather than a fixed daily schedule.
Should a check-in mail go to a member who has stopped attending?
Yes, once, if they agreed to hear from you. Keep it kind, ask how they are and offer a class change or a pause, with no guilt and no discount. If there is no reply, stop. A second reminder reads as pressure.
Can we use students' photos from class in our emails?
Only with their written agreement, and never in a way that shows a person who did not agree. Ask when they join and keep a record. A photo of the room without people is safer, and avoids awkward requests to take it down.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
