Scorecard

Score your own business on the six places orders are lost.

Six questions, one for each area of The Order Leak Framework. Rate each from 1 to 5 against the written description of a 1 and a 5, and see which two areas to look at first. It takes a few minutes and nothing is sent unless you choose.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

Colleagues arrange a sequence of planning notes beside a laptop

Rate each area honestly, using the last few enquiries you handled as your evidence. If you cannot say, that is itself a 1.

How enquiries arrive

Which channels bring enquiries, and can each one be counted?

A 1 looks like: Nobody can say which channel an enquiry came from. Phone calls are not logged.

A 5 looks like: Every enquiry is tagged with its source when it arrives, including calls and WhatsApp.

Choose 1 to 5
How fast they are answered

How long does an enquiry wait before a person replies, at the median and at the worst?

A 1 looks like: Nobody measures it. Replies depend on who happens to be free.

A 5 looks like: One named person owns the first reply, the wait is recorded, and the worst case is known.

Whether they were ever buyers

How many enquiries were never a fit, and what upstream brought them?

A 1 looks like: Every enquiry is chased the same way. Nobody has written down what a fit looks like.

A 5 looks like: A written test separates the fits from the rest, and the sources that bring the wrong people are known.

Choose 1 to 5
How many times they are followed up

What happens after the quote, and how many touches does a lost enquiry get?

A 1 looks like: Follow-up is left to memory and stops after the first try.

A 5 looks like: Every open quote has a next step and a date, and there is a written rule for when the chasing stops.

What happens at the handover

Who owns an enquiry the moment marketing passes it to sales?

A 1 looks like: Marketing forwards it, sales may or may not pick it up, and nobody checks.

A 5 looks like: One named owner at each step, with what must be passed over written down.

Whether the CRM can be trusted

How much of what the CRM says matches what actually happened?

A 1 looks like: The CRM is filled in from memory, in batches, or not at all.

A 5 looks like: Entries are made as things happen, and a sample checked against calls and quotes matches.

Questions

Questions about the scorecard.

Not answered here? Ask on WhatsApp or call, and you will speak to someone who does the work.

Is my score sent to you?
No. The questions are answered in your browser and nothing leaves it until you choose to send the form at the end, which includes your score only if you leave it in the message.
Is the score compared with other businesses?
No. Each rating is against a written description of a 1 and a 5, the same ones the audit uses. We do not publish an average here because an average needs real audits behind it.
How accurate is a rating I give myself?
As accurate as the evidence you have for it. Most people rate reply time and follow-up higher than the records show, which is why the free audit scores the same six areas from your actual enquiries and says what it saw.
What do I do with a low score?
Treat it as a place to look, not a verdict. A low score usually means that area has no written routine yet, not that the people are doing badly. The two lowest are listed with what is usually lost there.
