Car rental companies · Pay per click advertising

Bid on the route in the week the family is booking it.

Pay-per-click (PPC) advertising for a car rental business buys the high intent route and airport searches in the days before a trip. GullySales builds campaigns by route and vehicle, keeps them running into the night when enquiries arrive, and counts bookings rather than clicks.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Realistic editorial illustration of car rental companies at work in India

What pay per click advertising means

Pay per click advertising (PPC) is paying a fee each time someone clicks your advert on Google or another platform. It puts you at the top of a search page immediately, instead of waiting for ranking to build. GullySales sets the targeting, writes the ad text and checks spend against enquiries received.

For car rental companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The enquiry comes at eleven at night”

Trips are planned after dinner, so an advertisement that stops at six in the evening misses the hours when people are actually deciding.

  • “Aggregators bid on your own name”

A traveller who heard about you from a friend and searches your name can be shown a portal's advertisement first, and that booking leaves with a commission attached.

  • “A wedding or a pilgrimage is a multi-vehicle search”

Someone looking for four cars and a tempo traveller on one date is worth a separate campaign from a single airport drop.

What we do

What we deliver for car rental companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Campaigns split by route and service

Distinct campaigns for outstation routes, airport transfers, self-drive and group vehicles, each with its own words and budget.

Result: Spend follows the work you want.

  2. Ads running when trips are planned

Schedules covering evenings, nights and weekends, with call buttons and a WhatsApp click on mobile.

Result: A late enquiry reaches you, not a competitor.

  3. A brand campaign to hold your own name

A small campaign on your own business name, so a traveller searching for you is not handed to a portal.

Result: Your own customers reach you directly.

  4. Negative keywords for the wrong intent

Searches for driver jobs, taxi permits, car sales and rental agreements excluded before the campaign runs.

Result: The budget stops paying for people who will not book.

  5. Bookings counted against spend by route

Every ad enquiry logged with the route, the vehicle and whether it was travelled, reported against the baseline taken at the start.

Result: You know the cost of a booking, not the cost of a click.

How the result is measured

  • Cost per click
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries from paid search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches to bid on and block

The searches worth paying for at a car rental company, and the ones to keep out.

Route plus car type, such as Bengaluru to Coorg Innova hire
Bid on the routes you run most. The family books a route and a vehicle together, so name both in the advert and give an all-in figure by WhatsApp, not a bare rate per kilometre.
Airport transfer and local package searches
Bid for the airport and city you actually serve. Say the pickup point, the waiting time included and what the driver carries. A traveller arriving late at night wants those answers before booking.
Group hire searches, such as tempo traveller for wedding guests
Bid ahead of wedding and pilgrimage dates. A group booker needs a vehicle count and dates, so send them to a page that asks both and shows the real vehicles.
Driver jobs, attach your car, franchise and aggregator names
Block. Drivers looking for work and owners wanting to attach a car click every taxi term. Add driver job, attach, franchise, Ola and Uber as negatives so travellers get the budget.
Where the click lands
Send the click to the page for that route or service, with a form asking pickup point, date, vehicle and passengers, and a WhatsApp button. Do not send it to the home page.
Counting a real enquiry
Count a call or message that gives a route, a date and a headcount. Then mark confirmed with an advance in the booking sheet, and read each route's advert against confirmed trips.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the pay per click advertising work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the total budget

We agree the full paid advertising budget available across all platforms, rather than planning each one separately.

  2. 2

    Audit current platform performance

We compare existing campaigns on a shared basis to see where the budget currently performs best and worst.

  3. 3

    Build the cross-platform plan

Campaigns are structured across platforms with a shared measurement standard from the outset.

  4. 4

    Implement and monitor

Campaigns run with budget allocated dynamically based on real-time performance.

  5. 5

    Measure and reallocate

We report performance and shift budget toward what is working, within agreed limits.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Do ads make sense when aggregators already bring bookings?
They do, because an aggregator booking costs you a commission on every trip and the customer stays theirs. An advertisement costs once. The comparison to run is the ad cost per booking against the commission on the same trip.
What should we budget for ads?
Enough to cover your busiest booking weeks on three or four routes, which we size after the first conversation against your average trip value. What the platform charges is billed to you and kept separate from our own fee.
Should a car rental company bid on its own name?
Yes, in a small campaign. Aggregators and rival operators often bid on a local operator's name, and repeat customers search it to book again. Keep it cheap, and keep the clicks apart from the route searches so you can see what finds new customers.
Should the adverts keep running when the fleet is fully booked?
Pause the routes and vehicle types that have no free car, since a click you cannot serve is a lost customer. Keep the brand advert on and offer the next free date. Someone has to tell whoever runs the adverts when the fleet is full.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
