E-commerce · Cameras & Photography

A camera listing that only names the megapixels tells a serious buyer nothing.

A camera's megapixels are the number everyone knows and the one that matters least. A buyer choosing between two bodies is looking at autofocus tracking, video recording limits, the lens range, stabilisation and how it feels in the hand. They go to reviewers for these and to sellers for the price.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

In one paragraph

Camera e-commerce is the online sale of mirrorless, DSLR, compact, action and instant cameras, to buyers who compare sensor, autofocus, video and the lenses that fit. GullySales works on how your listings separate one body from the next, how kit and lens options are shown, and how buyers who are weighing two models get a direct answer from someone who has used them.

The beginner buys on reviews and a recommended kit. The experienced buyer is deciding whether to switch systems and wants to know about used lenses. Different buyer, different page.

Who it is for

This is written for you if you sell cameras online.

  • Dealers of mirrorless and DSLR bodies for hobbyists and professionals
  • Action camera and compact camera sellers on marketplaces
  • Sellers of instant cameras and film for gifting
  • Brands and distributors selling vlogging and content creator cameras

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • A seller listing grey-market bodies as official stock
  • A dealer who cannot confirm which lens mount or kit lens the camera comes with

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of cameras.

  1. Body or kit

Whether the camera is sold alone or with a kit lens, and which one. A body-only price looks lower and a first-time buyer may not notice.

  2. Autofocus and video limits

Eye tracking, recording time limits and overheating. Vloggers and wedding videographers read for these before anything else.

  3. System and the next lens

The lenses already made for this mount, and whether older lenses fit with an adaptor. The buyer is choosing a system, not only a body.

  4. Shutter count and the invoice

For used bodies, the shutter actuation count, the box and a bill. For new, the brand's India warranty.

Where sales are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell cameras online.

In the words sellers use on the first call.

  • “My price is the lowest and buyers still do not buy”

They suspect grey stock. A price that is lower than the market with no warranty statement reads as a risk.

  • “Beginners ask which camera and then buy a cheaper one”

They were told a list of models and prices, not a recommendation. They could not tell why yours cost more.

  • “Vloggers choose a body based on a video that mentions another seller”

The reviewer's affiliate link points elsewhere. Your listing never appeared in the video's description.

What we do

What you get for cameras.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A body comparison page for each popular pair

Plain differences in autofocus, video and lens range, so the comparison happens on your site.

  2. A kit option for every body

A beginner kit and a working kit with the lens, card, battery and bag priced together.

  3. An official stock and warranty note

What the India warranty covers, how you source and what the buyer gets on delivery.

  4. A beginner's choosing guide

A plain page matching the type of photography to a body and a lens, linking only to what you stock.

How the result is measured

  • Purchases
  • Conversion rate
  • Customer acquisition cost
  • Average order value
  • Return rate
  • Kit and lens attach rate

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before the audit call.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • The bodies you stock and the kit lens for each
  • How you source stock and the warranty you can offer
  • Questions beginners and professionals ask you most
  • The reviewers and creators who feature your products
  • Marketplace and website links
  • Recent ad spend and what it sold

Selling in India and abroad

Selling cameras beyond your own market.

Where you sell decides sizes, units, seasons and returns. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new country we start from your own sales and the platforms you already use.

  1. Regional models and warranty

Some models and kit lenses are sold only in certain regions, and warranty follows the region. State what the buyer abroad would receive and who services it.

  2. High-value parcels

A camera body is a high-value, easily stolen parcel. Insurance, signature on delivery and customs rules all differ by country.

FAQ

Questions about selling cameras online.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do beginners still buy DSLRs?
Some do, often a second-hand body or an older model at a lower price. Most new buyers are moving to mirrorless. Stock what you can support with lenses and service, and say clearly which is which.
How do I prove my stock is not grey market?
Name the source, show the warranty card and invoice format, and say who handles a claim. Buyers will check, so give them the means to.
Should I sell action cameras and instant cameras too?
They are different buyers: travellers, riders and gift buyers. Instant cameras sell around festivals and birthdays, so plan them separately from bodies for working photographers.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.
