GullySales

E-commerce · Computers & Accessories

The buyer wants a computer built for their work, and your listing offers one fixed box.

A desktop is usually bought for one job: accounts and billing in an office, rendering in a studio, a gaming build at home, a classroom lab. The buyer asks what runs their software and what they can add later. A listing that is only a processor and a price answers neither.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

In one paragraph

Desktop e-commerce is the online sale of branded desktops, all-in-one machines, mini PCs and assembled systems for homes, offices and workstations. GullySales works on how your configurations are presented and quoted, how office and institutional buyers reach you, and how a buyer who needs advice gets it before choosing a ready box.

Branded boxes sell on a model code, assembled systems on trust in the assembler, and offices on a quotation. Three kinds of buyer, one catalogue.

Who it is for

This is written for you if you sell desktops online.

  • Branded desktop and all-in-one dealers selling to offices and homes
  • Assemblers who build systems to order for gamers, editors and architects
  • Mini PC and thin-client sellers supplying shops, clinics and billing counters
  • Institutional suppliers quoting for schools, colleges and training centres

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • A seller who cannot confirm what is inside a build or the warranty on each part
  • A dealer wanting consumer-style volume from a catalogue that is mostly custom orders and quotations

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of desktops.

  1. What the machine will run

Tally and billing, CAD, video editing or a school's lab software. The buyer works backwards from the software to the processor and memory, and wants you to do it with them.

  2. Branded box or assembled build

A branded desktop comes with one warranty and one service desk. An assembled one has a warranty per part and an assembler to trust, and buyers ask who to call.

  3. Upgrade room

Free memory slots, a spare drive bay and a power supply that takes a graphics card later. Office buyers who plan to keep the machine for years check this.

  4. Installation and setup

Whether the system arrives with the operating system and software installed, and whether someone comes to set it up. For first-time buyers it can outweigh the price difference.

Where sales are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell desktops online.

In the words sellers use on the first call.

  • “Customers ask for a build and then compare it with a branded box”

The two are not alike. Without a page that explains what the build gives them and who stands behind it, the cheaper box wins the comparison.

  • “Office orders drift after the first quote”

A quotation for fifteen systems goes out as a PDF, the buyer says they will confirm, and nobody phones. The order goes to the dealer who did.

  • “A desktop bought online arrives with no one to set it up”

The buyer cannot connect the monitor or install their software. The review that follows mentions the setup, not the machine.

The scope

The work we would propose for desktops.

Measured on purchases, conversion rate, cost to win a customer, average order value and repeat purchases. Anything here that needs a platform or tool we have not used with you is confirmed in the audit before it goes in the scope.

What we do

What you get for desktops.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A workload buying guide

A page per kind of user, with a recommended configuration and a plain reason for each choice.

  2. A build sheet template

A standard layout listing every component, its warranty and the upgrade options, so assembled systems look as clear as branded ones.

  3. A bulk quotation page and form

Fields for quantity, specification, operating system, delivery site and installation, sent to a named person.

  4. A setup and warranty page

What happens after the delivery: installation, who services which part, and how a claim begins.

How the result is measured

  • Purchases
  • Conversion rate
  • Customer acquisition cost
  • Average order value
  • Return rate
  • Quotations followed up on

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before the audit call.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Your ready builds and the branded models you sell
  • Last quarter's institutional and office quotations and their outcomes
  • Your assembly warranty terms by component
  • Complaints or returns after delivery or setup
  • The cities where you can install
  • Your website, marketplace and ad accounts

Selling in India and abroad

Selling desktops beyond your own market.

Where you sell decides sizes, units, seasons and returns. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new country we start from your own sales and the platforms you already use.

  1. Weight and freight

A tower is heavy and fragile, and the shipping cost can exceed the margin. Selling overseas starts with the freight cost to one or two markets and not with an advertising plan.

  2. Power supply standards

A desktop's power supply is set to a mains voltage and plug. Systems for abroad have to be built or checked for the destination, and the warranty explained by country.

FAQ

Questions about selling desktops online.

Should I sell branded desktops or assembled ones online?
It depends on where your margin and your reputation are. Branded boxes sell by model code and need little advice. Assembled systems carry a better margin but need a build sheet and a warranty that is clear. We look at your current orders before suggesting a split.
How do I get orders from offices and schools?
A quotation request page that asks for quantity and specification, and someone who follows each quote up by phone. Institutions rarely buy from a form alone, so the follow-up is where the order is won or lost.
Can I sell all-in-one desktops through marketplaces?
Yes, they list like laptops, by model code. Whether marketplace fees leave you a margin on your lines is checked in the audit, using your own figures.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.
