E-commerce · Computers & Accessories

Two laptops with the same processor name are not the same laptop, and buyers know it.

A laptop brand sells one model name in a dozen configurations. Processor generation, memory, storage, display resolution and graphics change from one SKU to the next, and the price moves with them. A buyer who lands on the wrong variant sees a price that looks too good, and then reads the table and walks.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

In one paragraph

Laptop e-commerce is the online sale of new, refurbished and open-box notebooks for study, office work, design and play, to buyers who compare configurations and model codes across many sellers. GullySales works on how your listings separate one variant from another, how your shop appears when someone searches a model code, and how a configuration question gets answered before the buyer opens another tab.

Students buy in June and July, offices buy in March, and the festival season brings the gift buyers. Each wants a different answer on the same page.

Who it is for

This is written for you if you sell laptops online.

  • Authorised and multi-brand laptop dealers selling online alongside a showroom
  • Sellers of refurbished and corporate-lease laptops
  • Gaming and creator laptop specialists who sell on configuration advice
  • Marketplace sellers who list many brands and need each variant told apart

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • A seller listing models they cannot confirm are in stock
  • A dealer who wants the cheapest price on the web but will not state the warranty terms

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of laptops.

  1. The configuration code

A model name, then a string of letters and digits that decides the processor, memory and storage. Buyers who know it search by it, and match your title against what they saw in a review.

  2. Use first, specification second

A student asks for a laptop for coding, an architect for rendering, an accountant for a light machine that lasts a day. The page that names the use and then shows the table is the one they trust.

  3. Battery, weight and the display panel

Quoted battery life, the kilo count and whether the panel is bright and covers the colour range that editors need. Reviews that mention these are copied into the buyer's shortlist.

  4. Brand warranty, service centre and extended cover

Whether the warranty is onsite, whether accidental damage is covered, and how far the nearest service centre is.

Where sales are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell laptops online.

In the words sellers use on the first call.

  • “Buyers say my price is for a different variant”

The title carries the model name but not the memory and storage, so the price is compared with a larger configuration. Then your listing looks like bait.

  • “Refurbished laptops do not sell without a phone call”

The buyer fears a worn battery and a dead hinge. Without photographs of the actual machine and a clear battery statement, they pay for new from someone else.

  • “Students ask which laptop and then buy elsewhere”

A reply that lists three models and a price is not advice. The student wants to hear which one runs their college software and why.

What we do

What you get for laptops.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A variant map of your catalogue

Each model laid out by configuration with its code, stock and price, so no listing mixes variants.

  2. A use-case buying guide

A page for each main buyer, written around the software and workload they run, linking only to what you can deliver.

  3. A refurbished listing standard

Fields for grade, battery state, replaced parts, accessories included and warranty, with a photograph checklist for the unit.

  4. A service and warranty page

Who handles repairs, how a claim starts and what is covered, linked from each laptop so the question stops arriving on chat.

How the result is measured

  • Purchases
  • Conversion rate
  • Customer acquisition cost
  • Average order value
  • Return rate
  • Wrong-variant enquiries

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before the audit call.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Your top ten models by sales and the configurations of each
  • Your marketplace and website listings
  • Return and complaint reasons, especially on refurbished stock
  • A sample of messages asking which laptop to buy
  • Your warranty terms and service tie-ups
  • Stock by variant and where it is held

Selling in India and abroad

Selling laptops beyond your own market.

Where you sell decides sizes, units, seasons and returns. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new country we start from your own sales and the platforms you already use.

  1. Keyboard layout and charger

A laptop sold in India carries an Indian-market keyboard and a charger with a plug for it. Buyers in the Gulf or the UK expect a layout and plug that suit them, so check what you ship.

  2. Brand warranty by country

Most brand warranties apply in the country of sale. If you sell abroad, state who services the laptop there, or sell to buyers who will use it in India.

FAQ

Questions about selling laptops online.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Why do customers keep asking if my laptop is the same as the one on Amazon?
Because the title does not say which variant it is. Put the full model code and the memory and storage in the title. A buyer who can match the code to the review they watched stops asking.
Can I sell refurbished laptops online without losing trust?
Yes, if you show the actual unit and say what was replaced. Battery health, scratches and the warranty you give on the machine are the three things a buyer of used laptops reads for. Hiding them costs you returns.
Should I advertise the cheapest model I stock?
Usually the better first test is the mid-range model that students and offices search for most, since the cheapest tends to be where every seller is. We look at your margin on each before choosing.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.
