Colleges and universities · Reputation management
Answer the hostel and fee complaints a parent reads before signing the admission form.
Reputation management for a college covers what applicants read about you on Google, the education portals, Reddit and YouTube before they apply. GullySales sets up review requests at fair moments in a student's course, a reply routine for complaints, and a check on the claims your own pages make.
Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What reputation management means
Reputation management is watching what is said about your business across Google, social media and review sites, and responding to it before it changes a buyer's mind. GullySales monitors mentions, drafts responses to negative reviews and flags recurring complaints back to your team.

For colleges and universities
Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.
“Reviews are written at the worst moment”
Students post during a fee dispute, a hostel problem or a delayed result. The final-year student who got the offer they wanted writes nothing unless asked.
“Portal reviews nobody at the college reads”
Shiksha, Collegedunia and Careers360 carry student reviews of your college that applicants read alongside cut-offs. Few colleges ever look at them.
“Ragging and safety complaints are a different class”
These cannot be answered with a polite template. They go through the college's anti-ragging and grievance process, and the public reply says only that the matter is being handled.
What we do
What we deliver for colleges and universities.
Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.
A watch list of where students talk about you
Google, the main education portals, Reddit threads, Quora answers and YouTube comments on campus videos, checked through admission season.
Result: You hear about a complaint before an applicant does.
Review requests at the right points
Asks after placement offers, at convocation and at the end of a good semester, from a faculty member or the placement cell, with a direct link.
Result: Ratings reflect students who stayed, not only those who complained.
A reply routine agreed with the principal
Who answers, what may be said, and which complaints go to the grievance cell, written down before admissions open.
Result: Nobody replies in anger on the college's behalf.
Claims on your own pages checked
Rankings, accreditation grades, recruiters and package figures on the website and brochures checked against documents and the year.
Result: Every claim you publish has a document behind it.
Stale listings corrected
Out-of-date fees, closed courses and wrong contact numbers on portals and maps corrected or taken down.
Result: A searching parent finds current facts.
Ratings read alongside admissions
New reviews, average rating and reply time set beside enquiries and campus visits, against the baseline recorded before work starts.
Result: You can see whether reputation is costing you applicants.
How the result is measured
- Average rating
- Response time to reviews
- Negative mentions resolved
Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.
What to do with each review
How to answer each kind of review a college or university gets.
- Praise from a student or an alumnus
- Thank them by first name and mention what they praised, such as a lab or a teacher. Pass it on to the department concerned.
- Fee or refund complaint after a withdrawal
- Point to where the refund terms are published and invite the student or parent to meet the accounts office. Never post amounts or personal details in a reply.
- Hostel, mess or transport complaint
- Acknowledge it, say who is responsible, and fix it if it is true. Applicants' parents read these closely, and a reply showing action counts for more than the star rating.
- Ragging, harassment or safety allegation
- Reply only that the matter has gone to the college's committee, then follow your grievance process. Do not discuss facts in public, and take advice before any further reply.
- A promised-job or placement complaint
- Do not argue. State what the placement cell offers and invite the student to meet the placement officer. Then check whether a brochure or a counsellor implied a job.
- A review that looks planted by a rival
- Check it against your student records. If there is no match and it breaks the platform's rules, report it. Never post fake praise in return, and never pay or reward anyone for reviews.

How it works
From your first message to the first report.
No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.
First
Your brief
You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.
After the brief
A conversation and a written scope
We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.
Before work starts
Baseline recorded
The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.
After the baseline
The first fix goes live
The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.
As agreed
Report against the baseline
What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.
At renewal
Renew on the numbers
The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.
How the reputation management work runs
- 1
Understand current perception
We start by actually searching your business name and reviewing what a stranger would currently see.
- 2
Audit existing mentions
We catalogue reviews, mentions and search results, flagging anything negative or inaccurate.
- 3
Plan responses
A calm, factual response is prepared for anything that needs one, agreed with you before posting.
- 4
Implement monitoring
Ongoing checks are set up so new mentions are caught promptly rather than discovered by accident.
- 5
Measure and report
Sentiment and response times are reported, with your business name searched again to see what has moved.
Why us
Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.
Marketing and sales, as one job
Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.
The person on the first call does the work
No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.
A baseline before anything starts
Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.
The fee in writing, split three ways
Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.
No guarantees we cannot keep
The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.
