Degree colleges · Education
Explain your courses to the student who passes three colleges on the bus.
A girl in Tumakuru has passed second PU with a modest score. The father drives an autorickshaw, and the family has never sent anyone to a degree college.
Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

In one paragraph
A degree college offers undergraduate courses such as BA, BSc, BCom, BBA and BCA, affiliated to a university. Degree college marketing reaches students finishing Class 12 and their families in the catchment. Admissions sales turns a course question into a visit, then a paid seat. GullySales prepares the enquiry record. It also prepares the course and combination pages and the saved replies for the admission helpdesk.
The girl asks a cousin, then a neighbour’s son, then the teacher: which college is safe, close, affordable and gives a certificate that gets a job? The girl has not opened a college website, and the family has not yet worked out what a combination subject is.
Two or three degree colleges sit on the same bus route, at similar fees. The family is not looking for the biggest name. They want to know about travel, safety, subject combinations, scholarships, and whether anyone at the college will help a first-generation student fill the forms.

How buyers decide
How degree colleges are chosen.
Students choose close to home. The first questions are how far it is, what the bus costs, whether girls travel safely and what the fee is. Then the course: BCom or BBA, BSc with which combination, BCA or a plain degree. Parents who have not been to college lean on a relative or the school teacher for the decision.
Families compare by asking people, not by reading. The strongest signal is a student they know who studies there, followed by a college hoarding or a banner they pass daily. A family looks online to find the address and the phone number, so a clear Google listing counts for more than a long website.
Add-on courses, language labs, computer skills, internships and a placement cell give a college an edge, but only if the family can see what they are and who completes them. Admissions follow the affiliating university's calendar and state rules, which change, so dates and eligibility must be checked each year.
The problem
What usually goes wrong for degree colleges.
What owners tell us on the first call, in their words.
“Our admission desk is a counter and a queue”
Families are processed on the spot, and nobody records who came only to ask, so nobody calls them when seats are still open.
“Few outside the main road know we exist”
Students two villages away do not know we offer the combination they want.
“Parents do not understand subject combinations”
The prospectus lists codes and papers, and a parent cannot tell which combination leads to what.
“Scholarships and fee concessions are hard to find out about”
A family that qualifies for support never hears of it, and joins a college that mentions it first.
“Placement and add-on course claims lack proof”
A banner says job-ready, but there is no list of what the course includes or who has completed it.
“Students drop out after the first semester”
Nobody noticed who stopped attending, and the family heard nothing from the college until the fee was due again.
What we do
What we do for degree colleges.
Everything included for degree colleges.
A one-page guide to every course and combination
Plain pages that explain each combination, the papers in it and the careers it connects to, in English and the local language of the catchment.
An admission helpdesk on WhatsApp
One number for questions on forms, documents, fee and dates, with saved replies and a named person who follows up.
A scholarship and concession page
A clear list of the schemes the college helps students apply for, written from the college's own records and checked against official notices.
A catchment map and a bus guide
A page that shows the villages and areas served, bus routes and travel times, and the hostel if there is one.
A semester-one attendance and follow-up record
A list of new students with their batch and a short call or message to families when attendance drops.
How the result is measured
- Enquiries by course and by village
- Visits and form submissions from enquiries
- Admissions confirmed by course
- Scholarship enquiries against applications
- First-semester attendance after follow-up calls
- Students who came through current-student referrals
Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.
Every service, written for degree colleges
Each has its own page: what it involves for degree colleges, what you get, and what it is measured on.
- Lead generationBring in enquiries from families who are choosing a course, not browsing colleges.
- SEOAppear when a family searches for a BCom or BSc college near their town.
- Local SEOMake the map show your gate, your phone number and your courses to the family nearby.
- Social media marketingShow a worried parent what a day at your college looks like.
- Content marketingWrite the guide that answers what the parent is afraid to ask the admission desk.
- Buyer personaWrite down who actually decides, because it is rarely the student alone.
- CRMKeep one record for each family from the first call to the first semester.
- Follow-up systemsCall back the family that said they would think about it.
- WhatsApp marketingGive the family one number that answers at ten at night and again at ten in the morning.
- Digital marketingSpend where the family looks, and stop where nobody arrives.
- WebsiteBuild a site that a parent can read on a phone in the home language.
Worth a page and a campaign of their own
BA, BSc and BCom admissions after PU results · BBA and BCA admissions · Combination subject counselling · Scholarship and concession enquiries · Add-on and certificate courses · Language and computer skills programmes · Hostel and bus pass arrangements · Admissions through the second round · Re-enrolment and dropout follow-up
Priority campaigns
Campaigns for what degree colleges most want to sell.
Each one planned around when your buyers decide, and measured against the baseline.
Post-result admission campaign
Search, social and banner ads around result week for courses and combinations, pointing to the helpdesk and a visit slot.
Village and school outreach
Visits to high schools, PU colleges and village meetings with a short talk, a handout and a registration list.
Add-on course showcase
A page and short videos on each add-on course, showing the syllabus, the trainer and student projects with consent.
Travel and campus safety note
Honest information on bus routes, campus security, complaints cell and hostel, shared with parents on WhatsApp.
Beyond search
Where we reach buyers of degree colleges, beyond Google.
Search matters, but it is rarely the only way this industry's buyers find a supplier.
PU colleges and high schools
The register shows which high schools and PU colleges send students. Each gets a talk outline and a handout for its Class 12 teachers.
Village leaders and local groups
A panchayat member or self-help group leader is asked which college a girl in the village can attend. A simple introduction is prepared for them, with bus timings.
Alumni and current students
A second-year student from the village is the proof the neighbours believe. A request for stories and introductions is drafted, with consent noted and a record of who helped.
Local maps and search
Families search for BCom colleges near a town, not for a college name. The Google listing and course pages are set up for those searches.
Employers and training partners nearby
Local shops, banks, accounting firms and training institutes are where BCom and BCA graduates look for a first job. The placement cell gets a list to fill in of those that have taken your students.

Not for
It is not the right fit if.
- You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
- You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
- You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.
How it works
From your first message to the first report.
No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.
First
Your brief
You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.
After the brief
A conversation and a written scope
We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.
Before work starts
Baseline recorded
The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.
After the baseline
The first fix goes live
The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.
As agreed
Report against the baseline
What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.
At renewal
Renew on the numbers
The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.
How the work runs for degree colleges
- 1

Last year's admissions are sorted by course, village and source, with the empty seats marked.
- 2
Set up the desk
A shared enquiry list, saved answers and a rota so every family is recorded and called back.
- 3
Explain the courses
Pages and handouts for each course and combination, using the college's own syllabus and facilities.
- 4
Reach the catchment
A list of schools to visit, local events and online campaigns, each with its own landing page.
- 5
Read the results with the principal
Enrolments and early dropouts are read course by course, with the village each student came from.
Why us
Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.
Marketing and sales, as one job
Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.
The person on the first call does the work
No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.
A baseline before anything starts
Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.
The fee in writing, split three ways
Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.
No guarantees we cannot keep
The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.
One office, and we say so
Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

Engagement options
Ways to work with us.
Pick the size of commitment that fits. Every option starts with your brief and a conversation.
Option 1
The conversation on its own
A call after you send your brief. It says honestly whether you need outside help, and many fixes are ones your own team can make.
Option 2
One fix, scoped
Start with the fix that matters most, such as reply time or follow-up. The fee is in writing before anything starts.
Option 3
An ongoing programme
We run the work, report against the baseline, and you renew on the numbers. The term and the reporting are agreed in writing first.
Option 4
Guidance for your own team or agency
We plan, brief and check the work of your in-house team or current agency, instead of replacing them.
