Degree colleges · Local SEO

Make the map show your gate, your phone number and your courses to the family nearby.

Local SEO for a degree college is the work on the Google map listing and the nearby searches that send a family from a village or ward to the college gate. GullySales sets up the listing, the area, the photographs and the review flow behind those searches.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For degree colleges

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The map listing is the only page some families open”

A family wants the address, the phone number and the bus stop. If the listing shows an old phone number or the wrong gate, the family rings the next college on the map, and the college never learns they tried.

  • “The college has more than one entrance and one campus”

A degree college with a main gate, a ladies' entrance or a second campus confuses navigation. A pin on the correct gate, with the building name as locals say it, saves a parent wandering in the heat.

  • “Reviews are read as an answer to a safety question”

For a family sending a daughter to college, a review that mentions the campus, the bus and the staff matters more than one about teaching. Asking students and parents for honest reviews, and replying politely to complaints, builds that picture.

  • “Photographs should show what a visitor will see”

A clear photo of the gate, the library, the lab, the canteen and the bus bay tells a first-generation family what to expect. Photographs of students need their consent, and a minor needs a guardian's consent.

What we do

What we deliver for degree colleges.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A verified and complete map listing

Name, address, gate pin, phone number, hours for the admission office and the right business type entered on the profile.

Result: The listing matches the real campus and the real office hours.

  2. A list of courses and services on the profile

Each degree course and add-on programme entered with a short plain description and a link to its page.

Result: A family sees the course list on the map itself.

  3. A photograph set

Photographs of the gate, building, classrooms, labs, library, bus bay and hostel if there is one, taken with consent where people appear.

Result: A parent can recognise the campus on arrival.

  4. A review request for current students and parents

A polite message or card asking for an honest review, with the link ready, and no reward offered.

Result: The review list shows recent, genuine comments.

  5. Replies to every review

A written reply to each review, courteous to complaints, noting what the college will look into.

Result: A worried parent sees the college answering in public.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the local SEO work runs

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are reported, and branches falling behind are prioritised the next month.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we ask students to leave reviews?
Yes, ask politely and accept whatever they write. Do not pay, give marks or any favour for a review. Check the platform's current rules before you run a review drive.
Our college has two names, the old and the new. Which goes on the listing?
Use the name on your university records and add the name locals use in the description. Keep the name the same on the website, the board outside and the admission forms.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
