MBBS abroad consultants · Buyer persona

Know the parent, the student and the relative who each shape the decision.

A buyer persona for an MBBS abroad consultancy describes the people in the room when a family decides: who worries, who pays, who persuades. GullySales works from your own enquiries and counselling notes to write personas your counsellors recognise.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What buyer persona means

A buyer persona is a plain description of the kind of customer who actually buys from you. It includes what they search, what worries them and who else they ask before deciding. GullySales builds this from real enquiries and past sales rather than a generic template, then uses it to write every page and advert.

Last updated 3 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For MBBS abroad consultants

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The payer and the student want different things”

The parent asks about cost, recognition and safety. The student asks about lifestyle and whether returning home to practise is realistic. A conversation that speaks only to one leaves the other silent and doubtful.

  • “The family has not cleared a government seat and is grieving that”

The mood in the room is disappointment as much as hope. A counsellor who treats the foreign route as a second choice to be handled gently earns more trust than one who sells it as a bargain.

  • “A relative or friend can hold the veto”

An uncle whose son studied abroad, or a neighbour who knew someone who struggled, shapes the family's view. Counsellors should ask who else will be consulted and offer something that person can read.

  • “Budget is a range with a limit nobody states”

Families rarely volunteer how much they can truly spend. A question about how the fees would be funded, asked kindly, brings the real limit into the conversation before a university is chosen that the family cannot sustain.

What we do

What we deliver for MBBS abroad consultants.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Personas from real enquiries

Written profiles drawn from your counselling notes, covering the anxious first-time parent, the comparing parent, the student who leads and the family with a firm budget.

Result: Counsellors recognise the family in front of them.

  2. A decision-map for each persona

Who raises the idea, who pays, who objects and who is asked for an opinion, set out for each persona.

Result: You know whom to include in the next conversation.

  3. Questions each persona asks

The real questions parents and students put at each stage, in their own words, gathered from your sessions.

Result: Content and scripts answer what is actually asked.

  4. Messages matched to each persona

Short explanations and handouts suited to each persona's worry, written without promises of outcome.

Result: A parent receives something that speaks to their concern.

  5. A counsellor guide

A one-page summary of the personas with prompts for the first meeting.

Result: New counsellors open sessions as the senior ones do.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiry match to persona
  • Conversion rate by persona
  • Content aligned to persona

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the buyer persona work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the current view

We start with how your team currently describes the customer, since the gap between belief and reality is often the finding itself.

  2. 2

    Audit past enquiries and sales

We look at recent enquiries and closed deals to see who actually bought, not who was assumed to buy.

  3. 3

    Interview customers and staff

Short, structured conversations surface the real language, worries and triggers behind a purchase.

  4. 4

    Build the personas

Findings are written into short, usable persona documents rather than a long report.

  5. 5

    Apply to your marketing

We show exactly where each persona should change a page, an ad or a script you already have.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Where does the persona information come from?
From your own enquiry records, counselling notes and the questions families ask. We do not invent a profile or a statistic, and we use contact details only with consent.
Should we have a persona for students?
Yes, because the student is the person who will live abroad and sit the screening exam. Their questions differ from the parent's and deserve a separate, honest answer.
Do personas change between seasons?
They can shift when rules, costs or destinations change. We recommend revisiting them after each admission season against what families actually asked.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
