Coaching centres and tutors · Local SEO
Show up on the map when a mother searches for tuition near home.
Local SEO for a coaching centre is the Maps listing, the photographs and the reviews a parent checks when searching for classes nearby. GullySales completes a profile for each branch, puts the pin on the classroom, and answers the fee and timing questions parents ask there.
Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means
Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For coaching centres and tutors
Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.
“Walking distance draws the shortlist”
A mother filters on how far the child travels after school before reading a word about your teaching. Being on the map inside that ring is most of the job.
“A home tutor's pin is a real problem”
A listing has to be somewhere a parent can turn up and see a board. A flat with no sign fails that check and can lose the profile.
“The photographs decide whether a parent visits”
Parents look for the classroom, the number of desks and the board outside. Stock pictures of smiling children tell a parent nothing, and parents can tell.
“Three branches need three listings”
One profile covering every branch sends a family to the wrong address and buries the branch nearest them. Each classroom gets its own.
What we do
What we deliver for coaching centres and tutors.
Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.
A Business Profile per branch
Categories, subjects, boards and exams taught, batch timings and the hours the office is staffed, completed for every classroom you run.
Result: A parent searching near home finds the right branch.
Photographs of the actual classroom
The board outside, the room as it looks during a class, the reception desk and the teachers, taken on a normal working day.
Result: A parent knows what the visit holds.
Fee and timing questions answered on the profile
The questions parents post publicly, answered by your team rather than left for a stranger or a competitor to answer.
Result: The two questions that decide a visit are already settled.
UrbanPro and JustDial matched to the profile
Name, address, phone, subjects and timings made identical across the directories parents check, with dead entries removed.
Result: No family calls a number you stopped using.
A review routine tied to the term
A request from the counsellor after each term ends, with a link that opens the review box on a parent's phone.
Result: The listing keeps collecting recent reviews all year.
Calls, directions and demos reported
Profile calls, direction requests and demo bookings traced to local search, read against the figures from before the work began.
Result: You see what the listing brings, not just how it looks.
How the result is measured
- Map pack ranking
- Local search visibility
- Enquiries by locality
Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.
What Google weighs here
How a parent nearby finds classes for a child, and what to fix first.
- Coaching centre or tutor
- Use Coaching centre for an institute with a classroom, and Tutor for an individual. Do not pick school or college. A parent comparing classes should see a place that teaches one subject or exam, not a rival school.
- Courses as services
- List each course the way a parent says it, such as Class 10 CBSE maths or JEE foundation, with the batch timing in the description. Do not list a course you have no teacher for this year.
- School names and bus stops
- Parents search with the school their child attends or the nearest bus stop. Use the two or three they actually name in the description and on the course pages, spelled as on the signboards.
- UrbanPro, Justdial and Shiksha
- Claim UrbanPro for tutors, Justdial for walk-in parents and Shiksha for entrance coaching. Keep the centre name, phone and fee statement the same on each. Check each platform's current rules on posting results.
- Office hours, not class hours
- Show the hours someone answers the phone and meets a parent, not only the class timings. Parents call between work and dinner, and a profile marked closed in the afternoon loses them.
- Reviews from parents
- Ask parents, not students, since many students are minors. Ask them to name the class and what they valued, such as doubt sessions. Do not reply with a child's marks or batch details in public.
Who it is for
This is written for these coaching centres and tutors.
- School tuition centres for CBSE, ICSE and state boards
- Home tutors and individual subject teachers
- JEE and NEET entrance coaching institutes
- State entrance coaching for KCET, MHT CET and similar exams
- Government exam coaching for UPSC, state PSC, bank and SSC exams

- Online and hybrid tutoring businesses
Not for
It is not the right fit if.
- The centre has moved or changed its name recently and the address on the listing and in the building do not match.
- The premises are shared with another coaching business, and the map would send parents to the wrong door.
How it works
How the local SEO work runs
The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.
- 1
Write down what is true
Each branch's real address, signboard name, phone, hours and owning Google account go into one record you sign off. Every later listing is copied from it.
- 2
Search as your buyer does
We search each branch on a phone from points around it, in your buyers' words, and note who appears with what reviews and photos.
- 3
Fix the profile first
Ownership first, then name, address, pin, phone, hours and business type. Google can suspend a profile with extra words in its name or an address that is not a real premises.
- 4
Build the branch pages and match the listings
Each real branch gets its own page, and the other listings are changed to agree with it. We write none for towns without a branch, because Google treats near-identical pages as doorway pages.
- 5
Ask, reply and measure
We agree with each branch who asks for reviews, when and how. Results are set against the baseline recorded before work began, and the branch that is behind gets the next round.
Where this fits
Three pieces of sales work, in this order.
This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.
Step 1
Sales audit
Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.
Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.
Step 2 · you are here
Sales process design
One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.
Start here if every salesperson sells differently.
Step 3
Sales management
A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.
Start here if the team has targets and no routine.
